Wow! Thanks so much! I could figure out the blue words, but none of the rest made any sense to me. Vaguely cryptic, just like the Slenderverse should be. XD

I was hoping the creator would have kept going, attention or not. The posts weren't long and heavy, and they were effective.

Thanks, I'm glad it's useful! I think it is definitely cryptic. The invisible text is very ominous throughout. It makes me wonder if it's SM blog-jacking and posting that text, or maybe K himself from the future?

I feel, in general, deciphering all of that helps the last post make more sense, but there's still a big piece missing from the puzzle that I'm not seeing that's keeping everything from tying together for me.

I definitely agree. The last post seems like a "concluding" post, but I think there is more story to be told here. For example, what did the brother do, and what happened to him? In "Prodigal's Revenge", the red text and invisible text seems contradictory. I'd also like to hear a bit more about
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
how SM burned/took over(?) the world
but I suppose that this may be realistic about how the world ends...not with a bang, but with a whimper.

Apologies for double-posting, but it's back from the dead with a new post!

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
"...And they curse me, for I am the one that failed."

Ominous.

Looking forward to more and glad to see it's updating again!

Anyone else think he's a bit rash about this?

Maybe the house touched him funny.

But anyways, I think that it's a bit weird for KK to act like this. Seemed too cool and collected.

Info on the red letters/green text on the latest blog post (The Lost Summer):

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Red text translates to: our last hope

Green text (including prior green text): "In the house of house my father there" ...hm, maybe I'm missing something here...

Invisible words: iaskthesameofyou

Check a few posts back for my super long spoiler if you want analysis on the other blog posts as well. Smile

AlecHolland, I agree that this is pretty rash for K. Though I would probably be thinking the same thing if I was "in some sort of coma" for two months as well...Hopefully he's just upset and won't go through with it. I think he likely won't be able to go through with it...something will probably stop him.

I was going to bump the thread for that post, but I've clearly been beaten to it.

Loved that last one. The subtle buildups are finally starting to have some payoff.

Hooray, it got bumped! I didn't want to double post and was hoping someone was going to bump it. I've been waiting for the 25th; I figured we'd get a new post after the trial. We've also had a blog post from 1972 (http://tomyeldestson.blogspot.com/2012/08/our-hidden-fortune.html) that I haven't seen linked yet- this blog really likes playing with dates. Here's my take on the colored text and words, as always:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Our Hidden Fortune:

Red text translates to: there is a price for every blessing

No invisible text in this one.

Witness:

Red text translates to: how great a labor to prompt so small a task

invisible text: notimeforwalls

We're back to blue, rather than green, text. Not sure how "chose" fits in to either the blue ("This mansion is far different from the fools thought it") or the green ("In the house of house my father there are many rooms"...it may be starting a new phrase. Or it's possible that it fits into the middle of the green, such as "In the house of house my father chose..." Probably will need to wait on this one to see where it goes. Any ideas?

I also like his newfound determination and desperation when his thoughts about Svend came crashing down around him during the trial. I'd love to see how the different dated blogs come together - can't wait for some answers!

All right everyone! Happy New Year! After an extended holiday visiting my ill grandmother Sad, I'm back! I got a PM stating this had been updated and was bummed that I only had internet on my phone and couldn't really do a long analysis post until now. I'm just taking what I posted on the first page and adding to it; if there are any more posts (which I assume there will be...it seems to end on entirely too happy a note for a blog of this type!), then I'll just edit this one and add my thoughts. Well, here we go with another extremely long spoiler!

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Here are what the red letters spell out (names of each blog entry are in parentheses):

(Testament) An origin
(Signal) the pit and the tower
(Prodigal's Revenge) pretender to the throne
(Exploration) not the only shadow on the horizon
(Dust) The third is older than time itself
(The Locked Room) that no chain can hold
(Two Mysteries) not all doors are the same
(No Foolin') or the fool who follows
(Truthwalker) the prophet speaks
(Footprints) the unseen sees you
(Evidence) it begins
(Victory) will you trust your lying eyes
(Rude Awakening) how many days have you lost
(Bored of Damacles) boredom is the first step towards madness
(Lock and Key) red is the new black
(April Showers) thunder rain and lightning
(Bring May Flowers) what evil lurks in the heart of men
(Password) we have the keys
(The Lost Summer) our last hope
(Liberty and Litigation) and yet he loves
(Feelin' Fine) so like your father
(The Burning Trail) nothing is as seems
(Witness) how great a labor to prompt so small a task
([Redacted]) wheat hides behind the veil
(The Imposter) within these walls you are safe
(The Second Floor) sore turn the ruins of wealth
(Surge) the ends must justify the means
(Walking Beneath the Sky) white lies
(Five Stages) how can one man change the fate of ate of the world you dongt really believe hell win the fire will never touch him (NOTE: This one was a little weird, I put spaces where I could but a few words are strange… I think it's supposed to read "How can one man change the fate of the world? You don't really believe he'll win…the fire will never touch him.")
(Doomsday's Eve) [no red text.]
(Its Not Everyday That You Get to Save the World) [no red text.]

Here are the blue words (about halfway through the blog, they turn to green instead, then convert back to blue by "Witness"):

(blue) "This mansion is far different from the fools thought it"
(green) "In the house of house my father there are many rooms"
(blue again) "Chose the weak things of the weak things of the world to shame"
As of "New Year, New Problems", there seems to be the start of more blue text: "The"

There are many words that are struck out throughout the blog. They are all either "grandfather" or "father."

There are many words that are covered in black and must be highlighted to be read. They all have to do with water (wave, storms, flooded, sea, damp, sodden, showered, cried, saltwater), the attic, or his father's book, Walking Beneath The Sky. Other words also have to do with floating or flying (roof, floating, isle). "Shadows" is also covered in many blog posts.

There are also underlined words that seem to have to do with fire, sunlight, or things that have already been burned, such as basement, dust, dried, burning, sunbeams, boiling sun.

There are also invisible words that are found within the spacing of each blog entry when it is highlighted. Here are those phrases (blog entries in parentheses):

(Testament) ithoughtitwasablessing
(Signal) whatcannotberepairedbymortalhands
(Prodigal's revenge) thedeadliestpoisoncannotbeseen
(Exploration) justiceonlycomesfromacourtoffools
(Dust) thesecondisnotempty
(The locked room) joyansorrowliebeyond
(Two mysteries) whichcagewillyouchoose
(No Foolin') whoareyoutryingtoconvince
(Truthwalker) butyouarelosingyoursoul
(Footprints) dustdoesnotlie
(Evidence) thefeelingismutual
(Victory) howiregretthatday
(Rude Awakening) strugglingagainstthecurrentsoftime
(Bored of Damacles) orstrungupbetweenthem
(Lock and Key) turnyoureyestowardsthehorizon
(April Showers…) thestormhasnotpassed
(…Bring May Flowers) nomoresecrets
(Password) twostrikes…
(The Lost Summer) iaskthesameofyou
(Liberty and Litigation) asisyourdenial
(Feelin' Fine) willyouteardownourhopeforafuture
(The Burning Trail) willitquellthecomingfire

(Walking Beneath the Sky) orthelast
(Five Stages) wakeupandsmelltheashes
(Doomsday's Eve) [no invisible text.]
(Its Not Everyday That You Get to Save the World) [no invisible text.]

"Future" blog posts have entirely invisible text.

As was mentioned earlier in the thread, there are some fun little references to other things, such as Marble Hornets, "Slendy" (Ol' Svendy), etc. He also references many names that Slendy goes by in the mythology, and the Norse dragon who gnaws on the roots of the Yggdrasill (Níðhöggr) in his final blog post. As wiki states, the appearance of this dragon heralds Ragnarok. Interesting thing about Ragnarok is that, after the battle, the world will be submerged in water...a very typical Slender Man motif, and what the blog alludes to as well. Also interesting is how this is subverted in the blog – the future has NO water and simply a sky of flame.

It seems that the red and blue text has disappeared for now. We'll see if they return. I have to say that I am very impressed at the layers of meaning that simple interface tweaks have imbued into this blog. Love the symbolism of fire and water (including the red and blue texts), references to Norse mythology (my favorite :3), and the timey-wimey future posts. I am also interested in the seeming inherent evil of both water and fire. Fire seems to be Níðhöggr's deal, who is clearly evil, but the dolphin-bear-thing of the water doesn't seem particularly friendly either. I can't wait to see more!
