 		Not to be a complete stickler, but the quote is "Guess what's battery powered" not "what else". Also I think that Tim is saying "it looks so dramatic" in response to Brian saying that he was going to get some good lighting on Alex. I don't personally think that Alex looks particularly sinister at the end...he just looks like he's being silly, but I wouldn't be surprised either way.

I think that whatever happened this night is very important to the mythology considering Jay takes off leaving Tim, Brian, and Alex to have an encounter with the Operator, and as we have seen, those three seem to have been affected much more by the Operator in these old tapes than Jay ever was, or at least remembers.

 		I really can't say if this is relevant or not, but, Alex's behavior really puzzles me in this entry. He's not as cranky and stressed as he was in entry #9. But he's not as happy and relaxed as he seemed during entry #20, at least to me anyway. He didn't seem to be smiling as much, and his tone certainly seemed a bit more "serious". So I wonder if this entry took place when things were just starting for Alex? When he thought he was seeing a tall man in a strange suit in the distance?

This was filmed (IG) before his trek through the Basement of Doom with Alex.

Alas, the only place Seth still exists for certain is inside our cold, shriveled hearts.

Or maybe instead of Tim getting stalked first Alex was stalked as a kid, somehow overcame it and repressed (or was wiped of) his memories of the incident and Tim caused it to revisit him, sort of like the camera in #26. Going back on my previous point, but it's worth mentioning and not beyond the realm of possibility.


just wanted to say it's more likely that the operator was in fact there in enttry 37 due to the way the dates screw up as he appears

he clearly says "don't look so dramatic" - again, they have been very particular with dialogue in the past couple of entries. i think tim would have chose something else to say if he didn't think alex was creeping him out. the stare alex gives tim just screams sinister to me

As others have pointed out, this is NOT clear. Some hear "he looks", another "it looks".

What exactly is speculation?

This is early enough in MH time that we have Seth, Jay, Tim, Brian, and Alex all together on one day for shooting. It's early enough that Alex thinks he and Seth have enough footage for the trailer.

The Basement of Doom is much later. Alex loses Seth, tells us that everyone else is gone, and that he's going to burn the tapes.

We don't have confirmation of Seth running around after that point. Ergo, we don't "know that Seth still exists".

i typed out this long ass paragraph and deleted it because it was pointless arguing over this. i'll summarize with "nothing in the series points to seth being dead directly, and it would be too erratic to have the operator kill brian and seth but not tim"

Ah, you misunderstood me--I didn't say Seth was dead. I don't even believe that Seth is necessarily dead. I was saying that this tape appears too early in the timeline to say boo about Seth's status.

So, yes, Seth is Schrodinger's corpse.

 		First time poster long time lurker!

First off, I think Tim didn't see slendy first of all. The camera may have picked up slendy however Tim may have just not looked in that direction.
Also, from the GIF on page 11, we can see the flash light move towards the door just as slendy walks in, which surely means that they saw him? Or at least Tim did then?

Sorry if this is completely irrelevant!

Brian certainly did, you can hear him gasp. And Brian was holding the light, Tim was holding the camera.
