First off, I think Tim didn't see slendy first of all. The camera may have picked up slendy however Tim may have just not looked in that direction.
Also, from the GIF on page 11, we can see the flash light move towards the door just as slendy walks in, which surely means that they saw him? Or at least Tim did then?

Sorry if this is completely irrelevant!

Brian certainly did, you can hear him gasp. And Brian was holding the light, Tim was holding the camera.

Ah right! Was watching from my Phone so I didn't see properly as to who had the light.

Was anyone else struck by how Tim talked about Alex when he met Jay? Whe he talked about Alex trying to make him "get out of his hair", he said it like he was still upset about it a little. Maybe it's nothing, but it struck me as weird that he'd have an emotional response to things that happened 5 years ago, which you'd expect he'd be over. Especially because he barely remembered anything about the shoot in #15.

The tape cuts right after he says it, so it's not clear whether he says anything else about Alex... why would Jay cut a few seconds of dialogue, when he's perfectly happy to leave in shots of him walking around car parks or waiting on porches?

Tim totally stubbed his toe on the Operator, leading to a pissed-off Slendy charging through the door to take his revenge on Tim and those associated with him (he's a vindictive fellow). The entire series has been because Tim was a klutz. Laughing

Man, I just re-watched entry #9 and Alex and Tim do not seem like friends..at all. I'm wondering how big a gap there was between when these entries happened and when exactly Alex was replaced with evil Alex. He seems like a normal person in #54 but he's a huge flaming buttwind in #9.

I c wat u did thar.

I'm guessing this still has to be towards the beginning of production though because Jay is still around and I thought he mentioned he was only really around at the beginning of the shooting for the film (though I could be completely wrong). We also don't seem to be seeing any signs of anyone suffering from exposure (unless you count Tim with the camera forever in his hand), so this has to be really early on in the project.

I've read through the thread and didn't see any mention of this.

There was nothing affecting the function of the keyboard that Alex was rocking out on, despite the camera going on the fritz from The Operator's presence. Does this mean The Operator consciously chooses which devices are messed with, or that devices not actively recording are rendered immune to The Operator's presence?

If it has to do with the fact that something is recording The Operator, what are the implications for The Operator having conscious control over his detrimental health effects vs slendysickness being merely a side effect of witnessing or being in the presence of the Operator given that a person is just a living recording device?

This was a pretty stellar entry, not gonna lie. It's great to know that Seth still exists. Very Happy

This was filmed (IG) before his trek through the Basement of Doom with Alex.

Yes, I know that. I meant still available OOG as an actor.

I noticed both of those. Thought it was odd too.

Well, Alex says they have enough footage to put together a trailer. True, they wouldn't need much but they must have been filming for a little while.
I guess I always assumed Alex wen't berserk really early on in the filming. But there's no basis for it, I just felt that way I suppose. Probably because we don't have much evidence of him behaving like a normal person during filming.

I always got the impression that they went pretty far into the production before he went batshit insane.

Maybe "early in the project" was poor wording, but it seems TO didn't really start messing with anyone until later in the filming, like when we saw Alex freaking out on Seth for turning the camera off (which smacks of Slendersickness). Unless you count enttry 37, in which case Alex has pretty much been screwed from the get.

This looks like it happened pretty early on if they were still discussing music choices and such, and everyone seemed to be in a pretty good mood. I mean, if they were having repeated run-ins with Slendy, I think they would've been a little more concerned with the lights going out, storm or no. And maybe they did have enough footage for a trailer, but a lot of films are shot out of order. I did a gun safety PSA a long, long, long time ago for an after-school club and we filmed it out of order, going for the bloody-mess scenes first so we didn't have to be so concerned with rushing them and leaving stains on the carpet, so they could've had enough varying scenes already filmed to make a trailer, assuming they weren't shooting things chronologically.

I hadn't thought about that before... I think you may really be on to something there.

Was it the lamp going out or the video going out? The effects used on the lamp after the flashing of the video imply that the video itself is being affected and not the lamp.

Maybe Alex was just such a bad director that he wanted to make the trailer out of the only stuff they'd shot. So like, they've only shot 2 minutes worth of the movie and Alex wants to make that into a trailer.
