HOLY SHIT GUYS I ALMOST FORGOT. Alex's birthday is on April 4th. I bet we'll get a video then.

Brilliant! Just making sure this doesn't get overlooked, it's too perfect for Jay not to upload a video on his birthday.

I hope we do. Last year we got Entry #38, and the year before that we got #26, so... yeah.

Entry #38 was cool in its own right, but damn me if it wasn't massive blueballs after the entire leadup on Twitter.

Maybe the blow-minding entries alternate years? So, following that, this year should be good. Maybe.

What the hell? It's almost Alex's birthday already? Wow, a year passes by so quickly when you're being chased a paranormal demon and hunted by your crazy ex-best friend. Indubitably.

This entry was awesome, made me reminisce a ton on the season one entries, so that's always a great thing.. I think the fact that Troy decided to keep the story moving by having Tim suddenly find a large bag of tapes is also interesting.

I also still disagree with Jay's inability to upload several tapes at a time.. I mean why not? but whatever, it's no biggie. I hope Troy was being honest when he said season three entries wouldn't come as far in-between as season one/two entries so painfully did..

Each of those tapes is pretty damn long. He's got hours of tape to go through. That stuff takes time.

I wouldn't try to rationalize things we know are only that way because of the fact that it takes days to film entries irl.

but if you want to be technical, most mini tapes like that are like 6 hours long. The bag jay had was lookin pretty sparse. He's had two weeks (lets even say that jay sleeps 12 hours a day and give him some leeway time) to look at them, so roughly 168 hours that he's awake to go through them. Divide that by 6 hours per tape, and you get 28 tapes. IDK about you guys, but there couldn't have been half that many tapes in that bag.

So yeah, rationalizing IRL filming time restraints with an in game explanation is never going to work

We know from recent comments that Jay really dislikes going through tapes. Plus, the last batch of tapes he went through included someone getting his skull bashed in, so a fair amount procrastination seems reasonable.

Just my personal interpretation.

Don't forget, Jay has to deal crack and prostitute himself out so he can keep filming his hotel documentary I mean antique shop documentary I mean Marble Hornets the pretentious movie.

Personal thinking Jay cares too long be swift making entries.

Honestly, what event has actually encouraged Jay to keep going?
He looks too much and gets Slendy-struck.
He tries to help Alex and nearly gets shot by him.
Totheark continues to confuse, taunt, and/or mock Jay.
He gets Bruce killed.
He gets Jess Slendy-napped.
His only ally, Tim, is out of things.
Three years into this and he's back at square one; more MH tapes, Alex is gone, and Tim isn't talking.
And let's not forget that his life must be a wreck at this point.

I'm surprised Jay's still doing this at all, really.
Can't totheark dangle Jessica in front of him in a vid or something? He really needs some indication of his efforts being worthwhile.

That's really it, though. He has nothing to lose by continuing his quest, and he has a lot to gain if he "wins" it. Not to mention the fact that he is also probably at least somewhat mentally wrecked at this point, he'd probably "forgotten" what live without his mission is like.

He does have something to lose, though; his life. Even discounting all Slendy and Masky attacks he's still nearly been shot and had his apartment burned down. And he could've easily been a substitute for Bruce, too.
Seeing as though Tim and Alex seemingly could live a normal life by running away, I can understand Jay not wanting to approach things (like the tapes) too quickly.
He has to keep his sanity meter in the green, you know? Wink

I'm pretty sure "The Operator" is the name that Troseph gave their tall stalker to try and differentiate it from the slenderman. Confused It's never actually called that in a regular Marble Hornets entry at any time though, so I think most people who don't go on unfiction or read the MH Wiki just call him slenderman. Razz

I believe that when Jay obtained some of the obscure drawings Alex had created, the word "OPERATOR" was sprawled against one or more of them; that, and Jay might have began calling our tall antagonist "The Operator" after Totheark indicated that term with his video "Operator." Not quite sure about that, though.

I just watched Entry #54 again and I think I noticed some distortion in the top left corner at 6:06 (see screenshot.) Is this distortion, or something else? Is it significant? Apologies if it's already been posted.

I can't really tell where that is...you sure it's not just the camera picking up some misplaced flack because of rapid movement?

Yeah, Alex scrawls the word OPERATOR on a piece of paper in full view of the camera in entry # 44. I can't remember if he wrote it on any of the papers in season 1 or not. As for Jay, i think the only time he ever mentions Slendy is in entry 42 when Alex asks him what he's running from and he says "that thing."

It's really hard to capture in a screenshot of this for some reason! It's much more obvious that there's something weird there in the video between 6:05 and 6:07. At first I thought it could be some smoke, or something behind the door, but there's nothing there. The camera is freaking out and putting distortion in for some reason.

It does not look significant to me...almost like it was part of the wall, or something. I haven't gone back to watch the entry (I can't because I'm getting ready to go to bed, el oh el), but if it was around when the camera panned over Slenderator, then it could likely be distortion, 'cause...well, you know. Wink
