Just got a call from Sony Pictures about this. Led to the Welcometorekall site. Nothing else. Bummer, I was hoping for more.

Yea, literally just got the call.

I wish they didn't use screenshots from the movie in the timeline. It really breaks the immersion :/

Got a call today as well. I didn't even remember entering my phone number anywhere. I guess they got it off the uF postings, maybe?

It looks like you can choose from a number of Rekall "memories" (and by "memories", they apparently mean "a chance to win an all-expenses paid trip to a place related to whatever you picked"), with the exception of "Astronaut" which is no longer available "due to allegedly hazardous experiences". Sad That was the one I was going to pick, too...I guess it would've been too expensive for them.

So this site is primarily hosting product/corporate tie-in contests?

Not much of an ARG.

I guarantee that "video gamer" fantasy/contest is about as lame as you can imagine.

I was looking at that "experience" and I was like "Dude, I do that every day. Why should I pay you for that?"

The astronaut video and the NoRekall site makes me think this is something more than just your average tie-in website. Transcript as follows:

Quote:
*unintelligible*...any second so I'm gonna make this quick. If you're watching this, it means I failed to escape. It means they succeeded in giving you...a new name. A new identity. A new set of memories, everything, EVERYTHING. Anything you think you know about your life...it's not real! Good luck *unintelligible* --video cuts out--

Sounds like Rekall isn't everything it's cracked up to be. Who knew?

bumping for the link posted in a parallel thread, bringing the discussion back here.

One link already mentioned was http://www.welcometorecall.com/

There was a hidden link in the Total Recall trailer. I just saw it today at a movie.

This link has different content. (And I see it was also mentioned earlier)

Both are official Sony Pictures sites on the same server.

Another site's been launched that seems to be related.

http://norekall.org/

Not much on it yet though.

I actually posted that on the previous page back on June 11th and the site has not changed since then. I was hoping for more from this than just entering sweepstakes though. Probably too late now.

Whoops, my bad. I read through the thread but I missed that one somehow.
