why would they call the cops? i was saying why wouldn't they take tim prisoner rather than just leave him there if alex knows he was following him
Logistics of keeping a crazy ex-friend locked up in your house? Might be kind of complicated. And if he ever does escape, you're in even more trouble than you were before. XD
As for the rest of your post, I'm assuming Alex had been keeping an eye on the Marble Hornets channel the whole time.
Not to mention, I think after that rock-paper-leg bit when Alex and J had that fight in the Rosswood parking lot J wasn't really thrilled with Alex for trying to stab/maim/kill Tim, so I doubt he'd be very gung-ho for helping Alex with a kidnapping.

I'm wondering if the hospital is a connection point. What if all the characters have this common connection. What if they've been selected from childhood, all were at the hospital when it lit on fire and the Operator first marked them. Their minds have just repressed or been changed so they don't remember.
possible but would be a pretty awful reveal if you ask me
It's not that far off from my theory that they've all been stalked as kids by the operator and that they all used to leave in the town near Rosswood park, but then moved away for some reason, possibly a traumatic one.

If the plot of Marble Hornets (the film) holds symbolic weight re: Marble Hornets (the series), I might die.

it kind of makes you think why did nobody bitch about the end of 35, what did they just leave him in that building? jay knew this guy was following him and breaking into his house and stuff, why just leave him there rather than imprison him lol
We don't know what happened. Masky might have just gotten up and limped away at the best he could possibly manage; at least that's what I always assumed. If he hadn't escaped somehow (Hoody might have even come and helped him out) then I'm sure Alex would have eventually succeeded in killing him despite Jay's presence. We all know how insane he's become.

no he would have seen it since there would be no way for jay to have intercepted that call with some audio recording software

Agreed, but not in the way that has been described so far. I feel like the movie should tie back to the Operator...somehow...

Okay. So in all seriousness here, I was thinking more along the lines of he would be, ya know, standing around somehwere nearby but no matter which we all poke unwarranted holes in it, what hapened that day doesn't hold any apparent significance to what's going on now. So forget I said anything.
