And even aside from that, amnesia does present a danger for the characters in the story.

The problem is that fear is an emotion. If The Operator is not scary, then he's not scary. That's all there is to it. You can't "explain" the fear into him. As well as the fact that we don't know the specifics of those incidents. Given past history, we can say that Jessica probably isn't dead.

And no, amnesia is not dangerous, it is inconvenient.

And I wouldn't try to, but you can explain why others would find him scary. The scare factor of the Operator is completely subjective, of course. I'd be interested to see what the fandom at large thinks of the Operator at this point, I rarely interact with any fans that don't come here.

Amnesia by itself isn't dangerous. A being that can induce amnesia into you whenever it wants is dangerous.

You know what would mess with all our heads? If Jay got killed off and Tim continued the series-- like, he'd be the one posting on the Twitter and YouTube channels.

Anyone else missing the days of creepy tapes with silent commentary that were filled with anticipation and slendy sightings. But we had no urgency because a simple "nothing else interesting yet" would satisfy us

It's entirely possible.

That kind of thing would drive away 80% of the current fans due to their ridiculously picky nature. Personally, I wouldn't mind it, but it won't happen. They've already developed a signature style and I doubt they'll go back. :/

I really wish they would use their time more wisely. Many of the recent entries all take place in the same location, with the same people. So why don't they take the time to film more then one entry when they're there? I don't get this whole, film-one-entry-and-then-worry-about-the-next-one-later thing.

Maybe because there could be changes in the storyline and the scripting for each entry, so they would have to go and shoot again anyway

Yeah, I kind of wish the story was more compact instead of dragged out. I liked those cleverly creepy entries. Now it's been narrowed down to a mystery about a missing person that nobody cares about. People should make more series that focus on the spooks instead of stupid storylines that follow the same tired narrative.

MH was always about found footage. I hope that what they do with this latest is make the entries shorter, more enigmatic, and less talky. Just like what worked so well in season 1.

Also with found footage they can film a whole bunch, then drip-feed us entries from that tape at a planned pace so there isn't the current problem.

IMO, third season has been the best season in terms of production quality.

First season probably the best season in terms of, well, everything else.

ALSO, rage about how "Finally got the first few minutes of the tape playing" translates to "Just started writing the script!" ie, this:

Or it means "Just started Filming entry." :V Which I don't mind because that puts it back on schedule to where it was near the beginning of season 3.

Well, not entirely. The schedule in the beginning of Season 3 was an entry every 2 - 3 weeks. Today is the 3 week mark since #66, and if they just started filming then they still have to edit and review it and all that crap...which means the entry wouldn't be out for like another week.

But who knows what it means OOG when he says he can play the first few minutes. Maybe it means it will be out in a few days (probably not).
