Okay, the fact that you're posting the status of theMarble Hornets guys being online on their personal web-pages is the sign of a serious mental illness...

And I have it, too. I have a fever. And the only cure is... Entry 71.

I'm getting the feeling that their being online is less about posting the entry and more about laughing their arses off at our obsessed frustration. We're like a bunch of junkies around here... Drool

Are we addicted to the Entries, or are they addicted to our misery?

No reason it can't be both!

Yeah, it's kind of disturbing that you guys keep track of how long they've been logged on to facebook

Like the only reason they would ever use the internet is to upload a Marble Hornets entry

Well I don't care when they are on facebook ect I'm just going by their usual timelines..Twitter, then a few days later a "non spoiler pic" usually leads to a new entry.

I was briefly disturbed for a minute, then I realized that's not really all that strange, it is pretty comparable to looking at the "Who's Online" portion of a forum to see whether or not you can expect a post from someone any time soon.

ITT: kids who hate genuine literature but jerk off to marble hornet's plot. Just because you didn't like a book (or more likely, didn't read it cause your teacher told you to but you're such a badass rebel) doesn't have anything to do with how classic or important a piece is in literature. Just lost a good bit of respect for the lot of you, acting like you're above some of the most well known authors in recorded history. Sad.

And yeah there were plenty of books I didn't care for when i was a kid in school. That doesn't mean i can't appreciate the quality of the narative or grasp the underlying themes that make them keystones of literature (aka classic...). Amateurs....

I was reading at a college level my freshman year of high school. I've been reading any and every book I could get my hands on since my reading group in kindergarten finished learning the basics of reading. I've probably read more books than you knew existed. So, when I say that Nathaniel Hawthorne's ridiculous "unforgiven sin" theme and his one dimensional, cardboard cutout characters are pants on head retarded, I believe I've got quite a bit more leg to stand on than you.

So, let me get this straight, my post about them being online for a while was disturbing, but yet the guys who were stalking Troy's girlfriend in that other thread wasn't? I think that's very significantly worse than me just acknowledging that they're online. Come on now...

Neither is disturbing and nobody was stalking anyone. It's all based on information that the relevant parties chose to make public.

Well, I guess I shouldn't have used the word stalking, because you're correct about the information being published publicly. It would only be stalking if you were some how following/watching someone's activity without their knowledge.

First of all, I said that it wasn't that disturbing if you think about it, but what made people wary of your post was that it was (A) intentional & (B) predicative. You searched for their online status with the goal of predicting their future behavior. In the other scenario, it was accidental, with no future goal.

Also, if you don't think it's disturbing, then you shouldn't bring it up as a way of contrasting your non-creepiness with it. That stupid argument should stay buried in obscurity where it belongs.

I just wanted to throw my two cents in.

Watching their online status is not that creepy, esp if you assume an entry is coming out. I used to check the last youtube login date constantly when I felt like an entry was coming out.

However, this whole troys girlfriend debaccle is a little stalkerish. Sure, their stuff is all out in the open. That doesn't mean that troy is mentioning his girlfriends name in interviews, or anywhere else really for that matter. In order to find her, you had to creep around a little. Her information being public is not a great counterargument, because you wouldn't find her unless you knew her name (which you would only know if you were being a creeper). The posting of her tumblr page is not what I'm saying is stalkerish, but the way people found it is. You're not exactly just going to stumble across her tumblr if you searched marble hornets. You would have to pair up her face with troy's tweets about his girlfriend through his facebook friends. If you don't consider that creepin, than i don't know what else to say.

This is all assuming he isn't just listed as being her boyfriend on facebook in the relationship area. I'm not friends with him so I can't see, but if it says it right there then I see nothing wrong with it.
