 		You know what's buggin' the shit outta me?

The past few days, for some reason all of the MH auxiliary fanpages have been posting nothing but rabid hate for Slender.

Once or twice is fine. When it's all I see now from these pages, it gets to be a pain in the ass. We get it. You don't like it. Noobs these days are thinking it's Slendy's genesis instead of just being "a" Slender Man product. Don't be a damn hipster about it; educate them instead. Everyone's got to have an introduction to the concept of Slender Man and Slender just happens to be a gateway drug. Did fans of Victor Surge's original posts whine when people found Slender Man through Marble Hornets? (I'm genuinely asking, this isn't rhetorical). I do know for a fact that MH has gotten an influx of new fans due to Slender. How exactly is this a bad thing?

I'd hate to have to hide or unlike all of these pages just because they're spamming pettifog on a video game, but if push comes to shove, I will.

 		Personally, I think Slender is awesome. Maybe not the best production in the world, but it does what it's intended to do.

I'm fond of it as well, and even Sanatorium is neat despite it being roughly the same idea with a different locale (and unlockables).

The point is, though, A) seeing the same thing flood my wall all day is boring; it's why I limit my visiting during events like big movie/game releases, Olympics, and award shows and B) being a fan longer or through a different part of the thing doesn't make you better. It's like saying I have no business being a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan for almost 25 years because I learned of it through the original TV series instead of the original comic.

I agree. I found Marble Hornets a few weeks ago because of a let's play slender and all the slender memes. I did some Google searching and found a wiki page with all of the legends, then I found the original thread in which he was born. At some point I accidentally found marble hornets.

Don't worry, censura_umbra, most of us Slendy fans aren't like that, although we are a little mad (the mythos drove us that way) Just stay away from that fan fiction (from what I've heard it's scarier then anything Marble Hornets has ever produced - Masky/Operator fan fiction? That's enough to scare this gay man off his men for life)

Most of those people are very new

I blame that slender game for all of these newbies flooding our forums all at once

 		It's just funny how after slender came out so many new "one question" topics that could have been answered in any other topic sprung up, and I know it's not one person inviting all their friends or we would have had that long ago

It's cool that more people are getting into MH, but we're getting a lot of noobs who don't know what they're talking about half the time and it's kind of annoying

 		Yeah the wiki has some flaws in it, but I'm guessing it's not that easy to keep it up to date/alter older entries with every bit of speculation that floats around here.

The new people don't really bother me since I know I was the same (and probably still am regarding older entries).

Just remember that we all once were...
