The silver means the 30 silver pieces Judas got when he betrayed Jesus. He later gave it back and it was used to buy a field, the name of it is our password: pottersfield

This leads to this patient file:
Quote:
DE RAIS, JILL

History: Thanks to an well meaning therapist's prying after a profoundly traumatic event, Ms. De Rais began to "remember" events that did not happen. Periods of abuse, people she "met", things she did that were factually incorrect. Her memories were exposed as incorrect after an ill-timed accusation of a famous politician's "raping" her. She was quickly transferred to our facility for treatment.

Beakman's Notes: This young lady was indeed the victim of many attacks. Her therapist was paid off to smear her credibility. Granted, he didn't have much choice in the matter… I wonder what else we can "encourage" her to remember with the right nudging.

CHEAT CODE 5/6: NOT

Superb, argatha! The loose ends you asked about earlier are on page5. Also 20091305=TIME & 2116=UP as alphabet sub. Maybe completed: Time To Wake Up Karen

EDIT/UPDATE: R.Z. updated his Orderly Blog. Since Jester suggested we may have an option with the first correct answer I left a guess there after solving the cipher.
Anyone with a plan, ideas or another riddle answer PLSE chime in. Am totally open to all input about this impossible choice & Jester's last blog comment.

On which blog did you find the jesters comment, you are talking about?

Also.. pretty hard choice...

EDIT:

Okay, i think about writing R.Z an E-Mail, suggesting that he nominates Grace to be protected and then get the hell out of there to someplace safe. He is not trapped in there, is he? Also Grace is somewhere out of reach, so she could use the protection and he can't help when he's there anyway (well except trying to get the other patients out and maybe search Graces room again). We could still stay in contact with him, but the Jester does not need to know.

Also, nothing bad has happend to the patients who where not protected so far, right?

What do you think about that plan? Any other ideas?

Of course, I say bravo argatha! Whatever transpires R.Z. can certainly use the input & also the comfort of knowing that we support him. Jester sure isn't in his corner.

ok, i send him an e-mail. will update, when i got an answer

Hi Robert,

i read your blog and followed the game the jester was playing with
you. The last choice you got seems pretty hard... What do you think
about choosing Grace to be protected and then get out of there? Can
you go somewhere safe? You are not trapped in there, are you?
They brought Grace to some other place we don't know. So she could use
the protection and you probably can't do much if you stay in or near
Shady Lawn. Nevertheless we (the people who tried to help in the
comments) could stay in contact with you without the Jester knowing
it. Maybe you could start a new (password protected?) blog. We really
want to help.

Of course this is just a suggestion, the choice is up to you. But may
I ask you to search Grace's room again, maybe there are any clues
where they took her?

Thanks. I'm not trapped in here, but they might be watching me. Once I deliver the patient file of Grace, I'm not sure if they won't just...I don't know. It's a rigged game, so what are they going to do this time?

Perhaps you are right. I should just choose Grace and then try to run away.

Great work people!

I've been struggling with a riddle answer for "potter's field"
http://ontheexactitudeofscience.wordpress.com/2012/01/01/an-experiment/

Could it be we've switched authors?

Quote:
"The Potter's Field" ( Il campo del vasaio )
Witty and entertaining, the Montalbano novels by Andrea Camilleri-a master of the Italian detective story-have become favorites of mystery fans everywhere. In this latest installment, an unidentified corpse is found near Vigàta, a town known for its soil rich with potter's clay. Meanwhile, a woman reports the disappearance of her husband, a Colombian man with Sicilian origins who turns out to be related to a local mobster. Then Inspector Montalbano remembers the story from the Bible-Judas's betrayal, the act of remorse, and the money for the potter's field, where those of unknown or foreign origin are to be buried-and slowly, through myriad betrayals, finds his way to the solution to the crime.

We'de be nulle part Cool w/o your bilingual solve, Booba. Asked The Pardoner for a new hint and when given it led me to rethink a word I'd been trying all week.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Haceldama (upper case sensitive....very sneaky)

Got lucky on the latest PW to unlock EARL, MARY ELIZABETH
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
schrodingerscat

Quote:
Condition: Derealization

History: Ms. Earl was a prolific "underground" artist, painting vivid canvases filled with strange creatures. After her first gallery opening, however, she was found crouched on the floor of her apartment, muttering that the world had gone "gray." She apparently no longer saw the world in the same vivid colors – in fact, now she only sees the world as "an old television show" – unreal, out of focus, black and white.

Beakman's Notes: At first, I thought this was the Choir, but now I don't think so. Sometimes Ms. Earl mutters in her sleep about a deal of some sort – made with a person named "Jack the Painter." If it is who I think it is, then perhaps Ms. Earl got off lucky.

The alphabet substitution spells out WAKE. So *time to wake up Karen*. And interesting reply from RZ, argatha.

High praise for your diligence. That's why I tend to dislike going on bug hunts for passwords. I tried (1) akeldama (2) haceldama, and then 200 other things. I tend not to return to (what I thought was) covered ground.

Oh well, moving on- the Nuge has the next riddle password...

Bang Head i also tried haceldama and aceldama...

Good work with schrödingers cat so far... hm, about the other password... you'd get scratches? Very Happy hm.. i tried to find out if he really had a cat (and what it's name might be) but it seems he just imagined one...

Maybe we heard nothing of Grace, because she is Karen now?

Shall i answer R.Z. something?

Also Jack the Painter seems to have been a guy who tried to burn Portsmouth Dockyard. That somehow reminded me of the last Jester riddle...

Dr. Beakman about ABLE, HEATH wrote:

History: Graduated Valedictorian of his high school, with a scholarship to Havard University. However, over the summer his mental state began to show signs of sharp deterioration. Before his colleges classes started, he began cutting at himself. He was interred at Shady Lawn shortly thereafter.

Beakman's Notes: At first I suspected that on of Them had a hand in this, but it seems his madness is the result of stressful living conditions. How boring.

Condition: Comatose. Repeats words that people say and responds to stimuli via attempted mimicry.

History: Father of two children. His wife died in a car accident last year. Reportedly, he became an alcoholic soon afterward. Entered into his comatose condition around the beginning of the year, after he was found unconscious in a lake, where it is believed be tried to drown himself.

Beakman's Notes: I have never had a chance to study one of the Campers. It will truly be fascinating to observe the progression of the ink.

Coffee Nice, argatha! Have found the patient file to match "A Hypothetical Situation" & was able to unlock the "Another Query" page needing only 1 PW for both.
PW solve opening the file of LANCE BOYLE (giggles for the homophone)

Condition: Major depressive disorder.

History: Friends and family of Mr. Boyle first began to notice symptoms of depression around the year 2010. Insomnia, general lack of pleasure in day to day activities, hallucinations, and feelings of worthlessness had them concerned. He managed to hide a handful of failed suicide attempts before one savage wrist-cutting caught his family's attention once more.

Beakman's Notes: Lethargic, hard to motivate. Experimentation will be easy on this one, with enough hints dropped towards the patient's continued usefulness.

"Another Query" page PW solve & now just 6 Patient Files left to unlock. YAY!
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
