I am from Germany, when I wanted to start a Vlog about Slenderman for instance, I also could tell the viewers I'm from Chicago (IG), 'cause in Germany ARG's and stuff like that isn't that thing which is hyped, it is as unknown it could be. (I also think, that' nearly the same in Uruguay)
In USA there are a lot of ARG players and if you tell them, it happens/happend in US, this would make them feel, it isn't far away from them, as Uruguay e.g., which makes a scarier feeling in your bones, as if it is on the other side of our lovely earth, so far, that nothing could happen to you!

Because they said that this ISN'T an ARG. Obiously, if it were, they won't said it. But, the diference is that here we haven't a game! He is not saying "Do this and this". A convencional ARG is a ALTERNATIVE REALITY GAME, And this proyect have not a game... you can't do something that give you a clue to do another thing! Here is not a myth like Slendermand (Which is a HOAX, not an ARG), and you can't play with Chad and Dario.

That's the reason; They say this is real, and they're not trying to do something with us, like an ARG. It's just a Hoax, and fake. So if someone tried to discover something about that film, now we can know that is fake.

A good ARG for me, gives me the thrills, that this stuff is real, while I know it is not. So ARGs often appeal to non ARGplayers, as if they are real, so this is no fact for not being an ARG at all...

And when we talked to him in the chat, he said that he only want to show the video. Nothing else. He didn't say that he want us to follow his research, or something like that. All ends in may 5th and 12th so, why we have to be fooled until the date, without know until the date if it is real or not?

Anyway, I just post that this is fake. Even if some people knew it or not. It's like Slenderman, some people think that he's real, and other know the truth. Play the game (If there is a game), but you can know now that it's fake.

And that's what I said!
ARGs are playing with the viewers. Maybe you know ARG's and know, that this is kind of fake or you're not knowing the existence of this gameplay and keep thinkin this is real. This it is.
Noone in this forum thought it is real, because nothing in this forum is real!

And that's what I said!
ARGs are playing with the viewers. Maybe you know ARG's and know, that this is kind of fake or you're not knowing the existence of this gameplay and keep thinkin this is real. This it is.
Noone in this forum thought it is real, because nothing in this forum is real!

Anyway, this is a useless discucion. I posted the why of the fakeness, and now we can know why this is fake. That's all. So, if you see someone that thinks this is real, you can show the post.

 		Ok, so, from what I can tell, (& I just found the Bitterroot site today), the contact page is now down, and the Facebook page no longer exists. I feel as though if someone would have truly just wanted to show their creepy footage, he wouldn't have created a ominous website. He wouldn't be updating in increments. He wouldn't have set an exact date of the release of the footage in order to, what I feel, build anticipation--to build followers. There's a potential story arc here, I feel it.

Also, how did everyone find out about this? I happened to find it on StumbleUpon today, of all places. I'd be curious to know.

Finally, I would like to contact Chad myself, however, like I stated before, the contact page is unresponsive. Does anyone have suggestions? Or remember his email?

Ok so, if an ARG is fake, and this guy's tapes are fake, but some people think it's real, are those people fake or are the tapes real? Or is it that the ARG is real but the people are fake? What if the author is fake and is then implied by something real to be real and then is proven to be fake? Is the ARG fake because of it's reality or has the tapes orchestrated a reality that is in itself a real fake?

Oh. I totally thought there was a real haunted film reel in a real wooden box that a real person really bought and that we were going to really make contact with a real spiritual plane.

The point is that this is a fun story that has been made public for us to enjoy, right?

I think someone more experienced should make a better analyze on the video. I find it weird a video of him showing pictures that are up above on the site. It may be for his youtube viewers but... i don't know. Also, someone should try to clean the photos for better analyzing. Waiting anxiously for May 12th!

 		Bitterroot solved?
Just throwing this out there but the website twice mentions "Dario" and Dario Argento is the name of the director of 1977 horror film "Suspiria," which is about witches (what appears to be in those pictures), whose US remake will be released soon. Also, nearly everyone came across the site on StumbleUpon, where companies can pay to have their websites filtered into stumbles. Conclusion: it's a viral marketing campaign for a pending horror movie remake, seeded by the studio via StumbleUpon's paid discovery feature.
