 		I honestly don't know how I feel about this series. I mean, the acting is believable (although I personally prefer exciting acting rather than believably mundane acting) and the Proxy video was kinda creepy, but it does exhibit quite a few of the cliches common to the vlogs, and it just doesn't seem to have much inspiration behind it. It seems like the creator is just making it because he wants to be part of something, not because he actually has a story to tell.

 		"Play with me" video
This has got me well and truly baffled. I liked the video, but the puzzles have got me over the proverbial barrel.

Here's what I've got so far :

It seems ShaunProxy (as I've dubbed him) wants to tell us a story but won't until we've solved his puzzles. I found a web page for each one of his clues and they are:

I've even tried finding out more about the series (which is about a kid who can kill people with a magic notepad) by viewing the Death Note wiki ( http://deathnote.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page ) and looking each character up, but there doesn't seem to be anything there of use.

 		Hmmm... Well... the first and the fourth have Japanese words in the described location.

1: あらすい which translates as "rough water"
4: has that slash and おねり... I can't figure out what the slash is... (it's been a long time since I took Japanese...) it isn't a character it's a modifier (I think) but I can't remember what it does to the rest of the word.

For 2 I think there is a word on the TV screen but that scan is terrible and I can't read it.
For 3...?

How very exciting to have a reply featured in a Slendy Series.

I've located the page ShaunProxy points to in the video, I've not yet figured out it's relevance though...

And the though the text is unclear on the video, it actually reads:

"Because this is supposed to be a secret investigaion [sic], our orders were to keep our identities a complete secret"


And I'm assuming that the Japanese at the bottom left of page 111 must translate to "show".

Though the only thing in Japanese I know is "Toyota"... Bad times!!!

 		Am I Barking up the wrong slendy tree???
Ok, I've taken a look at the pages, using the one in the last video as being the first page we should look at.

The first thing I found is that you read Japanese comics from right to left, as opposed to from left to right. This link explains:

So taking that into account, I took a look at the page in the video and ascertained that this is page 111 of the first clue (5 pages before the one I linked in an earlier post).

I'm also guessing the number at the end is the number of words into the speech of the character, contained in the clue. Therefore I counted, from right to left, 22 words spoken by Misora Naomi. The 22nd being "To".

Any way, long story short, I used this same basis on all the clues and got the following "To Something Claiming Humans".

So it could be "Show Something Claiming Humans" or "To Something Claiming Humans". I've tried, every different variation and get nothing else that would have anything to do with Slendy.




If anyone else can have a pop at it (I'm more than likely missing something blindingly obvious), more the merrier as I'm no closer then I was before. A great puzzle, but a little beyond my own meager comprehension. Embarassed

Talking of which, it seems that I'm close with the solution to the Greeter's puzzle as I received a PM from our Anime inspired Proxy and it seems that there are different translations between the online and actual printed copies. Which is exceptionally frustrating as I can't actually get my hands on a printed copy.

Needless to say I think Greeter has become frustrated and has put the answer in the new video:

During the last two seconds of the video the words "Show me red eyes" flashes up. Unfortunately I have no way of verifying if this is right, I'm just hoping it is.


I just hope we get to see some more character introductions as I thought the episode with Shaun's folks was a nice change of pace and hope to understand some more of the main protagonists background. For me "Plot > Slenderman".

Certainly has potential IMO.

Shaun seems to have Slendy induced amnesia and cannot remember (or see for that matter) his previous posts. Plus another appearance by the tall dark and faceless one right at the end!

It also appears that everyone on campus has disappeared. I'm not sure if this is Slendy or Greeter's responsibility!

 		I've don't have the volumes but here is what I found from his hints

volume 2 page 111

"Even to me he was trying to hide the fact"

volume 1 page 71

"Heh, heh, now we'll see what happens to those who offend Kira. The whole world's watching, I..."

volume 3 page 102

"If you add this, you get the following messege: 'L do you know Shinigamis love apples? Gods of death have red hands'."

volume 1 page 145

"Well, a shinigami's eyes..."

got some help from someone who had the volumes. I myself do not have them to check if that is correct. But I know for sure the top one is correct due to the hint from his youtube page.
