A friend of mine sent me this link and asked me to post it here. As a trailhead, it's rather slim pickings: a QR code, an mp3, a text file written in code, and a screenshot from some mmorpg. I haven't cracked the coded message yet, and the mp3 is just an instrumental song. Couldn't try the QR because I don't have a smartphone, tho I'm sure there are other methods to read it.

And the screenshot looks like its from LOTRO (Lord of the Rings Online). Maybe we are supposed to meet that character at that place?

This looks pretty cool. Is your friend running this, or did he/she just find it?

If you would like to post the text code, I'll look at it. I *just* got my computer all cleaned after a week of downtime due to a virus, so I'm wary of opening a .zip archive from a stranger. Besides, I don't want any of the other files, just the cipher text. thanks.

 		OK, here ya go, first with a hint: how to solve it
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
treating all the decimal numbers as pairs #.# where the first number can be {1-9} and the second digit can only be {1,2,3} makes it look like a simple alphabetic assignment (because 9x3=27 which is good for our 26 letters)
therefore, try 1.1=A, 1.2=B, etc. (whoops! that didn't work)
then try 1.1=A, 2.1=B, 9.1=I, 1.2=J, etc.
and here's what I get out of it the solution

 		Did a quick google search. There's a server on Lord of the Rings Online called "Imladris". That's probably the one this character is on.

Any of you guys have a character on this mmo?

 		I texted the number (although maybe we are supposed to wait till the 14th for that?) and I'm downloading the game right now. But it won't be done for quite a while. If anyone already has it downloaded, it would be awesome if you could check at the location in the picture.

Also, I made an account on the By Doom Mastered site. The only other registered user is the site owner, whose username is an email. I'm tentative to post it, in case its not actually in game and is a personal email. But I've emailed it and will post here if I get a response.

EDIT: Well I got a response, and this is most definitely in game. The email address is darklordiggySPLATgmail.com, their name is Sara Ferdinand. Here's what the email said:

EDIT2: First of all, I replaced that picture with a link, as it was taking up too much space.

More importantly, I loaded up the game. Using the username "Kiza108" and the password "frankie13" opens up an account with one character on it. Loading that character on the Imladris server, I was teleported to Bree.

The bad news is that I have no idea what I'm doing. The good news is that I have chunky thighs and large shoulders, and that I found the place in the picture: http://i.imgur.com/xxhak.jpg

There was no Elieson to be found. I added them as a friend. Evidently, they are now level 14 now and were last online a few hours ago.

In discovering these things, I nearly stepped on a sleeping person and someone tried to sell me moonshine or something. It was all very confusing.

EDIT3: Whoops. Just checked my phone, I had this message from 6124623217:

 		Can you enter that door that's shown in the picture? The mp3 and the website both mention doors, although it could just be in reference to starting the game.

I poked around on my roommates account. I sent in-game mail to this Elieson, but all I got was a rather incoherent message:

 		k, so, I am just following this to get the hang of args, and I am wondering about a few things. first, on http://bydoommastered.webs.com/ there is a quote under the picture of the door. "Yet hope remains, while company is true..." It doesn't seem to have anything to do with the site. could this be important?
second, I have interpreted the tarot cards, in case no one else has.
-The upside down high empress is a sign of turmoil and disappointment in some relationships.
-The emperor represent some one with knowledge and experience which can be of great benefit to you. You may need their help but you should be careful how you ask for it, or it could mean to think carefully about some upcoming and important decisions you have to make.
-Finally the Hierophant represents shared feelings, beliefs, or ways. Or it could be about blending in or surrendering to tradition and community rather than asserting your uniqueness.
Third, browsing http://bydoommastered.webs.com, I looked at the site owner and saw some affiliated sites. http://formydarlingprincess.webs.com/
