Yeah, I think the chances of Jay confronting Tim in a non-awkward way are pretty slim. Already looking forward to the next entry.

You're a genuine idiot if you think this was a bad entry. Bravo, one of the scariest ever, and a real treat to see Tim's fear.

I personally love Entry 57, and all the tension I got from it. Sure, everyone loves a plot-driven entry, but patience brings us answers. Here, we got confirmations, and character-development. Yes, it was a pipe. Yes, Tim made it from The Building to The Annex on his own accord. I feel like this solidifies the order of Alex's sacrificing in Tim > Brian > Seth somewhat more too.

Some of you guys are forgetting that Tim's (pretty flimsy) excuse is that he can't watch the tapes because of his broken VCR or something else silly. It's still a little up in the air whether or not Tim really is amnesiac about all this or not. On one hand, I could understand how tense it would be if Tim really does remember, and just doesn't want to have that incredibly awkward icebreaker. On the other hand, why not just sit Jay down, watch it with Tim, and begin working WITH totheark. I can't wait until we get the Tim/Jay confrontation, this was good buildup with good acting, and now I can't wait for the payoff.

Nice touch with The Operator at the end during the cough, didn't notice that at all first time around.

Alex comes back that night (either to finish Tim off, lay out his trap for Brian, or possibly both). Tim runs to The Annex, but we are left with the question if he was really just hiding from Alex/The Operator or if there was some other motivation whenever he clearly didn't want to go before (as Jay points out). He was adamant about not going to The Annex in 56, so why not run in the opposite direction? Did he maybe think that HE could use The Operator to counter against Alex whenever it didn't finish him off in 56?

I know it seems pretty solid that Alex has always had more of a connection with The Operator than the other characters, but I'm starting to wonder if the stalking that was done to Alex, and the self-sacrifices (like in Entry 43) made by Alex in order to form some kind of alliance have been attempted by other characters in the series beforehand? (I always though totheark or possibly Tim had some kind of relationship like this by the use of The Operator in "Return")

I think it's important that Jay pointed out that Tim didn't want to go to the Annex in 56. I think it's their subtly way of confirming that as a plot point rather than unintentional acting on Tim's part. He has history there; the question is what? Was he once treated there for mental health problems?
Yes, while the Operator is not truly Slenderman (within Marble Hornets canon), I think something can still be said that there are a lot of Slenderman stories that involve mysterious fires.
And, after all, there was that mysterious fire in Jay's apartment.

This is pretty out there as far as bringing up new things, but I wasn't on Unfiction when this all happened so I'll ask anyway. Did we ever find out the reasoning behind Jay disappearing from his room for hours at a time and not remembering anything? Or walking through the door and not coming out the other end?

That's a part of the story I never understood and feel that it could tie in with the plot sometime soon considering it's the last season.

I think that stuff was kind of forgotten, like totheark's first videos.
I'm with you, though.

I wonder if Jay will use the chest cam this season since he still has it.

I just thought of something. What if the mask prevented this "operator enduced sickness" - the "chill" people get in their body with violent coughing (probably from the chill). He weakens his prey and then attacks.

The mask prevents his "chill" from entering your body (Masky never coughs)

Okay so I just woke up to pee it is like two o' clock I wasn't even going to watch the video I was so tired, but ugh. I would never have been able to get back to sleep just ugh. Why you wait so long, Jay? I hate you.

No seriously, my heart is like, pounding right now, I will never be able to get to sleep just never oh my gosh. I restarted my freaking computer just so I could watch this without lagging. And I have school in, like, four hours. Meh.

Entry wasn't fantastic, but it was like, about nine times scarier than the last ones, and Oppy was in it whoa guys! For like half a frame, but he was in it! Watching over Tim! Whoa.

I'm not going to read the thread or anything right away. I'm just going to list my thought and everything kay here it goes:

1. SO WE WERE RIGHT. Gawsh, and Tim had an extra tape. Timmy always is preprared! Why would he have taken the time to replace it, though? So he could film himself stumbling around?

2. He's not completely incapacitated. Okay, that's cool.

3. But he's stumbling around out here like he's drunk.

4. Aw, he just sits, aw...bet he's given up hope...

5. WHOA, ANNEX THING, WHOA. I KNEW IT WAS A DIFFEREENT BUILDING, SUCKAHS.

5. Yeah seriously, why WOULD he go in there? At night and everything, when he presumably hates it so much? Is he becoming a little derp like Jay? Who's a little derp? Tim is! Yes he is!

6. I guess he's too, like, weak or whatever to do anything effective, here. At least he was smart enough to hide. That's a good Tim.

7. That coughing sounds like really painful. That's a really good actor's cough. I forgot this was real just because of that. And his eyes are like wide open. Whoa, first stage of crazy, me thinks. No, not really.

8. AND OPERATOR YEAH I SAW YOU HOLY SHIZZ. I DON'T CARE THAT YOU DIDN'T MOVE, I LOVED YOU ANYWAY.

9. So it...it WAS pipe....HAH. To all you stick lovers! >XD

10. "The building Tim goes into looks like the building Alex took Brian in in Entry #51." No derp, Jay.

11. "Why would he go there? It seemed he realy didn't want to in the previous entry." NO DERP, JAY.

12. Okay so like, there's not really much to go on here, but...I STILL LIKED THE ENTRY KAY SO SHUT UP.

It's way too early for this.

Jay is capable of interacting with people in a non-awkward way?

This is quite possibly the best thing I've ever read. Just saying.

I thought this entry was great. I've been wondering, though, as the series has gone on, just how much control Alex has over himself. I feel like, if he was being controlled and was forced into taking out Tim, he would have done it right there in the main building with no remorse. But he didn't, and if he's looking for Tim with a larger weapon, he's correcting his mistakes, which would imply some level of control over his thoughts. Unless there's a reason that Tim needed to be alive? But then, why was he coming back after him?

For the record, Alex was ridiculously terrifying here. It all sort of brings new meaning to his "I could have done worse, and I probably should have" line back in season two. He really could have done worse, and he has.

First part was filler, but it shows Tim leaving.

He plops in the grass and notices, oh shit, it's Alex. Notice how quietly he tried to get up after the lights stopped. He then walked to the building. walked. not ran. He was trying to keep hidden.

This is by far the best entry in a while, not for the storyline (which was all Season 2 was anyhow), but for the sheer tension filled fear. I don't know about you guys, but watching Tim feverishly clamp his hands over his mouth was tense as fuck. The OP sighting made me fucking jump.

You can say what you want about there not being any questions answered here, but I don't watch a horror movie for the story.

Operator's appearances in this entry made me jump a mile each time...and Alex in the hallway brings all sorts of video game adrenaline of trying to sneak around.

this entry was not a game changer but I have a feeling shit is going to start picking up soon. We've been given some crucial info...now we'll see how Tim reacts to being pulled back in.

I wonder if we'll see Hoody acting as Masky soon?

I hope so, running around with the chest cam is definitely more useful than always keeping one hand occupied.

The mask might very well serve that purpose, but what we do know is that it doesn't prevent Masky from seizing up like he did with Jay's first encounter. Tim/Masky recovers shortly after though, so I'm wondering if Tim starts to build up some degree of immunity/control to operator sickness.

Well if you rewatch Entry 33, Jay and Masky come out of different hotel rooms then Jay and Jessica have been entering in 27 through 32. If you attribute this to teleporting, then we have to settle some things:

- Masky CAN teleport through doorways.

- Jay CAN also teleport.

- Jay can only do so while "tranced" or in times of high stress.

- Jay's "doorportation" in Entry 19 (and possibly 33 to) could of possibly been directly caused by Masky (or another third party, totheark or The Operator?) and Jay may have no innate ability to teleport at all.

Knowing this, I would like everyone to remember Entry 23. Jay appears in the wrong room every time he passes through a door way, time passes by rapidly going quickly from day to night, and then Jay ends up in the basement of doom (which, as we know, might be part of the three story Hospital where Jay was taken, and where The Operator is present in 23). So, all in all, Jay CAN teleport through door ways, but it may not be on his own accord, and Masky, The Operator, or totheark may be responsible for this phenomena.

Hmm, I'm in two minds on this one. On the one hand, it was great to get back to the sort of series 1 scares we all know and love. On the other hand, I've seen far too many mystery based stories get to the last series, throw in filler/mythology light episodes and then run out of time to deal with all the threads they've left dangling. (Lost anyone?) From a narrative perspective, I'm of the school of thought that, if it's the last season, no episode shojuld make us think that they are wasting time.

Though I guess the main difference is that, unlike a tv series, where there are a finite number f episodes, the guys could make season 3 last 50 entries if they wanted to (not that I think they will), and answer everything that way.

Let's be honest, on analysis, the reason some of us are a bit grumpy about it is because we wanted this one to show us how Masky came to be and it didn't.

That just means that we've got something to look forward to further down the line!
