Did anyone else catch the two floaty lights in the hallway around 1:29-1:30ish?

We've seen that before in ToTheArk videos.

I noticed that, too.

Hm, agreed, not much happens in this entry. It basically shows Tim going from the main building to the annex, and that Alex had returned at night to either finish things with Tim or do something else. We're presuming Alex returned at night because of Tim, but there could be another reason.

This was actually a creepy entry to watch (then again, that's expected when it's set at night and filmed with nightvision). When Tim saw Alex out in the hallway, then ducked inside that room, I actually paused, nervous about what might have been about to happen. I was reminded of the days back in season one when I'd watch MH entries with the volume rolled down to about 20%, for fear of distortion.

For being the last of Tim's tapes, I expected something more. I was hoping for footage of Tim finding or making the mask, at least.

Looking forward to seeing J's next meeting with Tim, and whatever else happens in Entry 58.

Definitely liked this entry. I didn't think it was filler. Granted, I don't think it "answered the unanswered questions", but not every video needs that. It's fine to focus on character moments instead of plot moments.

Seeing him trying to stay unheard while coughing was a tense moment for me. Can't say I would've done it differently (apart form the whole going back thing.)

If that were the case though you shouldn't be able to see any black in there behind that "bar"... It would all be white. Admittedly my phone's screen is tiny and it's hard to make out detail.

Look at Tim--the line runs through him as well, and tugs parts of him to the right. Might be hard on a small screen, but it's most obvious in his hands.

Okay, I do see what you're talking about. If that is the Operator though, doesn't he seem kind of short? (Maybe he's having a nice sit-down... Slending around all night must get tiring...?)

Nothing significant, but Alex is wearing the same shirt he wore in the clip at the beginning of Entry #26 (the "HELP" tape). He's posed a similar way, too, but he's not wearing his hat.

Another thing regarding bit from Entry #26 - a light appears at the end of the hallway and "comes toward" Alex. Could that light be similar to the lights that Tim saw at the end of the hallway around 1:30 in this entry?

I've really enjoyed this entry, i dont know why you guys hated it, and it wasnt filler, and maybe Alex wasnt there for ''finish the job'' I think that Alex was there to see by himself the place where Brian is dissapeared, maybe.

Delurking momentarily.

I liked this entry and its sister entry, 56 (they're pretty much one entry more-or-less). What they didn't serve up in terms of answers I feel they made up for in embracing the tone/spirit of Season 1 of MH. I don't know if I can call this 'filler' because it doesn't feel like it's trying to fill an empty gap. No major developments, but the series is sort of born on that - entries are relatively short, set a plot in motion, and (what this one focuses on primarily) set the tone and tension.

They could've cut out some of the 'walking-around' footage, maybe got this down to 5-7 minutes, but the build-up of tension was great, and I enjoyed the payoff. Watching Tim start to unravel a bit is intriguing to me as a character study.

So yeah, no major plot developments. But I'm getting familiar with Tim in a way I haven't been able to in S1-2. His longest appearances were as 'normal Tim' and the rest involved him cloaked in a mask, charging at Jay/Alex or skulking around mysteriously. For a few entries, we got to see his perspective, and I'm glad because I imagine the rest of the season will focus on real-time interactions between Jay and Tim. In the same way that S1's catalogue introduced us to Alex's character and S2's 'lost tapes/footage' gave us more of an idea who Jay is, S3's 'Timmy tapes' let us learn a bit more about Tim before we jump into the meat of the story's denouement.

If we didn't get to know Tim better as a character, we wouldn't give much of a rat's ass about his motivations for becoming Masky/TTA/whatever or care about what happens to him (I'm speaking in terms the story - I love Tim OOG but I try to separate real-Tim from MH-Tim in this sense). We already have our (polarized) opinions about Jay and Alex, but Tim is the last piece. I'm glad the Timmy tapes are over with, since I don't see what else they could do with that, and I'm more psyched than ever for what's left of Season 3 and the finale.

Also, gotta say, not-being-on-the-forums was a breath of fresh air for the last series of entries, particularly 56-57. I was able to spend the weeks around their releases not-thinking-about-them and then genuinely enjoying them for whatever they turned out to be. Speaking of which, now I return to lurking.

Well this leaves a lot of things unanswered still.

What happened to Sarah and Jay? Does this mean Jay's going to get more tapes again?

I was really expecting to see Sarah in one of these entries.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Especially since we know they have access to her because of the MH trailer.

How can anyone call this entry filler?

I felt fucking terrified when Tim was trying to keep Alex from noticing him.

My theory is that Sarah and Brian were in Season 1 just to help out their friends with their "little video series" and were never intended to be recurring characters. I'd put money down that Brian asked to help out once the series got some attention but Sarah had no real interest and just helped them do the trailer as something dumb.

Yes, no questions were answered. We got it. If that's all you want out of Marble Hornets, I'm surprised you've kept watching this far.
This entry was FANTASTIC. What it didn't have in terms of story development it compensated with atmosphere. Look at Tim's eyes when he has the coughing fit near the end. Holy shit, he's so fucking terrified! They did a fantastic job of emulating Season One
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
which, if I recall correctly, Joseph/Troy said they'd be doing, so we should be expecting it?

I took that entire chunk out, shrunk it by 5% horizonally, and taped it back in:

But Troy stated that he wanted to clear up what happened to all of the characters. Besides, they wouldn't leave something like that unanswered. Unless they wanted to piss off a lot of people.

I'm just curious as to how they're going to clear up her story and Jay's. I feel like it would be silly and repetitive for Jay to stumbled across a stack of tapes. Again...

I agree with this entirely.

His exit from the building, his tripping through the annex, are about tension and characterization. Tim's taping himself, and this isn't behind the scenes stuff, so has he been obsessively taping himself for a while now, like Alex and Jay? And, speaking of, Alex doesn't seem to have a camera when he returns in the dark; I'm surprised the theorists aren't going hogwild with potential implications there.

This was one of the worst entries I've ever seen. I don't understand WHY Jay would post this. All we really see is Tim stumbling around with his camera on for some reason. It doesn't add to the series at all, besides confirming that Alex didn't dismember Tim last time or something (wait... he couldn't have done that anyway.) That attempt at suspense in the middle nearly killed the video for me. An Operator appearance would've done it. I'm actually glad he didn't show up this time, would've proved the creators are desperate for filler.

Also, there's no way you can make me believe this was the last video Jay watched. A little TOO coincidental, if you ask me :/

Overall boring, unrealistic and a waste of an entry.
