Favorite books/movies/games etc? I'm obsessed with music, but I read occasionally. Book of Disquiet is good.
Played any other ARGs? Which? 4-27-2010, Rocket Poppeteers, FAILTECH, Howard Fair, White Rabbit, Test Subjects Needed, Writing on the Moon, Order of Umbra, and probably a ton more that most likely died due to lack of interest.

My username is Gilgamesh backwards (you can call me Gil for short) I found out about MH and TT through /x/ on 4chan. I've been following the series since #20 and have honestly lost many nights of sleep to catch new entries as they're posted. I've been a huge fan of the horror genre since I was a little kid (read Dracula by Bram Stroker in 5th grade and its been my favorite book since) my 2 favorite hobbies include composing music and bodybuilding so if anybody has any questions about music OR exercise, hit me up . Naoki Urasawa's MONSTER (I recommend this one to MH fans, it's got the same jigsaw plot where the timeline is fractured and has a great atmosphere. The main antagonist is purely human, but very inhuman at the same time, and there is a LOT of room for coming up with your own theories about what exactly happened and why)

My Dad's Tapes is my current obsession right now. I recc it to fans of MH, it even notes that in the Trailhead! Be warned, it's more gruesome then MH though. Not like Saw levels, but some BTK-esque creepyness.

Anything we should know about you?

I like things that can be dark yet lighthearted or humorous, like The Decemberists or Marble Hornets (natch) or Fido.

I am studying Psychology to be a criminologist or forensic psychologist. I'm currently a little obsessed with researching Jeffry Dahmer.

I like stories and puzzles that test the limits of the mind and let you make your own theories, which is why I really like ARGs.

How did you get into Marble Hornets? I actually heard about the 'Ben Drowned' ARG from someone 'Aha your name lol' etc., and found out about the Slender Man Mythos through that.
Favorite books/movies/games etc? For books, I love a lot of books, but The Third Policeman, House of Leaves, and Duma Key. Movies, Shawshank Redemption and The Prestige. Games, I love Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill, and most recently, Alan Wake. I enjoyed Lost when it was on, and I lurve anime/manga by Naoki Urasawa. 20th Century Boys is amazing.

Movies: Labyrinth... That is the best David Bowie movie ever (i also love the SpongeBob Movie :^3)

How did you get into Marble Hornets? Oh gosh...it's kind of complicated. When I was a young internet n00b I think I stumbled across the tweets first, of all things, and not knowing any better genuinely thought a random guy named J was having weird conversations with "tot-heark" ^-^; and I think I saw the first few entries (but didn't really make the connection), got freaked out and didn't look at them again for quite a while.

I honestly don't remember how I remembered them again, but I was bored with my brother one day and we found them and watched them all in two days. I didn't understand my fascination, just knew that holy-shit-need-to-watch-the-next one and I think I missed most of the Totheark videos the first time around. Then I found the wiki, and, knowing what MH actually was, watched it all again the right way ^-^;

Favorite books/movies/games etc? Tricky! I don't read as much as I used to, but I love stuff that subverts the norm. I love Kurt Vonnegut, Ray Bradbury, even got a soft spot for Stephen King. Oh, and John Dies At The End. And Huck Finn, and Cyrano de Bergerac...I like way too many books to name xD

Movies, I like Jacob's Ladder, Pan's Labyrinth, The Illusionist (shuddap, I liked it), that sort of thing I guess. I just started watching Woody Allen movies. Horror and comedy. Weird.

As for shows I like Breaking Bad and...well that's about it right now. Will occasionally watch Modern Family or The Office I guess. Scrubs, too. Jeeves and Wooster. I used to watch a lot of anime, but now I only really watch Baccano! and Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. Criminal Minds is kinda my guilty pleasure.

My musical tastes are very eclectic. I will listen to most things besides country. For just a taste of what I like: Sufjan Stevens, The Shins, Crystal Castles, Mary Elizabeth McGlynn and Akira Yamaoka, Fleet Foxes, Green Day...

As for video games, my favorite franchise is Silent Hill, and tbh I haven't played too many others. I like Zelda, and sometimes I play The Sims and Age of Mythology.

Um, I have a weird irrational fear of tunnels and being underground. How did you get into Marble Hornets? I explained this in another thread, but here's the abridged version: I was browsing the Power On section of the NSider2 Forums (replacement for the old Nintendo NSider Forums) back in early 2009 when someone started a thread about a then new thread on SomethingAwful forums about Slender Man. Someone else in the thread mentioned Marble Hornets, which by then was up to Entry 15 or so, and, curious, I watched. The rest, they say....

Favorite books/movies/games etc? My handle gives away the fact that I'm a huge fan of The Wheel of Time fantasy novel series by Robert Jordan (and being finished by Brandon Sanderson). Also a fan of the earlier Xanth novels by Piers Anthony, Sanderson's own Mistborn series, the Ender Quartet by Card, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and the list goes on. Long list of favorite movies, but I'm a huge fan of Miyazaki and Kurosawa. Huge fan of The Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy, Golden Sun, and Minecraft and Terraria. Also, Frozen Synapse is amazing.

Played any other ARGs? Which? Not really. I remember when the NBC series Heroes began and they had somewhat of an ARG for the show. That was interesting. (Also, as Troy said back at GMX, MH is more of an Alternate Reality Movie (or ARM) than an ARG).

Favorite books would probably be the Pendergast series and the Hannibal Lecter series

Favorite TV shows are Doctor Who and Sherlock

Favorite Movies are The Lion in Winter, The Sting, and Butch Cassiday and the Sundance Kid
