Another convo with Pietro at the perfect wrong time (I was literally just about to close my laptop when I heard the little "ding" FB message sound)

PR:
Ah, [OWP], how are you this morning?

OWP:
Fine, you?

PR:
Up to eyes in packing...
All 3 of us are needed elsewhere for a few days

OWP:
Ah.
Forgive me if I'm not very alert, it's actually a bit late where I am. May I ask where you're needed, or is that private?

PR:
You can ask. There is a large exchange of ideas taking place - Sergei and Vladimir need to examine the potential forward moving of many thought processes while I need to discuss with my organisation the final outcomes for this task...

OWP:
I see.

PR:
The red king has become silent and players are less vocal now. The authority who have tasked me for this project are... concerned...

OWP:
Authority?

PR:
That is classified.

OWP:
I see.

PR:
Anything else I can assist with?

OWP:
No, none that i can think of...

PR:
Until Tuesday then.

OWP:
Farewell!

...Fuck, I'm not very good at this, am I? >< Grrrr. I'll stick it out though, since I already gave 'm my contact info.

Hi all. Both teams have a new page. For Green it's: http://auguriesofinnocence.co.uk/images/jigsawwhere.jpg. Due to so many lil edges I pieced it together by hand for myself. Then Green King Epiphany asked that clues posted here esp.regarding its location are super welcome. TinEye doesn't recognize it. Laughing *not surprised*

And for those working on the 2nd layer of the Silver Box puzzle Pietro Radillo wrote:

The picture looks like a paratrooper. I think the shell is his parachute. I've done some searches but haven't been able to pinpoint this particular shot.

Hello there, ladies and gents...

First of all, I want to apologize for not responding to Facebook messages sent to me almost two months ago when this was all picking up; I don't check that account very often, and I haven't kept myself connected to the ARG scene for the past few months.

That being said, on the off chance that I'm able to be of any actual help this time around, is there a wiki or summary post of things that have gone on so far around here? I'm going to work my way through the thread and see what I can pick up, but any help would be greatly appreciated!

ETA: Made it through the entire thread, and found the links to the wikis, so no need to repost those. I'm glad to see the return of Vlad and Sergei; interacting with them is always fun Smile Is either side in need of more pieces? Additionally, are you guys meeting up more frequently on Skype, or IRC? I'd like to hop into one of those channels, but I'm confused as to where conversations are being held. Thanks!

Hey ironnikki!

I'm not really sure about what pieces we need, as I don't know who's still around and who dropped out. I think that most of us either use facebook or skype, so if you'd like to join one of those, just ask!

I'll be offline for the next week or so, due to camping and lack of internet, but I'll be around again after that!

Hi ironnikki. Am tardy at seeing your post. If you're unsure you're on the mailing list email pietroradilloSPLATgmail.com with the subject "add to player list". It's fun to chk out all the hidden links in the Green Room incl. one to the Red Room. Just got pipped to the post to add you to the FB group so you'll need to chk your FB page. Laughing

Hi CyRei. So far, I haven't heard anything from anybody since I tried to jump in a couple weeks ago. From what I can tell, the Facebook group and this thread have been pretty quiet. I did get a notification the other day that PR added me to one of his G+ circles, so maybe things have moved over there?

As it stands, I'm unsure if we're waiting for a puzzle solve, for more contact from PR, or if things have just quieted down on their own accord. I'm afraid it may be the last of those, though Sad

Okay, folks...

I talked to Pietro just a few minutes ago and was asked to share what was said. Apologies to all, but I'll have to summarize.

Basically, we have a couple things to do in order to move on. The jigsaw in the Innocence room was put together, but the location hasn't been found, as far as I'm aware. The Experience puzzle hasn't even been put together, something I plan to remedy soon.

For those of you on facebook, Pietro has put up a poll, asking how we'd like to continue. Any input is appreciated.

Here's what I have so far. Putting this together is a bit of a pain with mspaint. But I'm getting there.

Also, Pietro gave me a hint:

Raphael's birthday to Jean Arp's should give you a good date range to work with...

At least one player found the location of both the Green & Red jigsaws. He was kind enough to relay a clue that I believe is from PR & pertains to the location of both.

Sorry for the late update, but life got super busy with work for a bit.

I have the location of the Innocence jigsaw, which I will post here under spoilers for those who wish to know.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
So, the puzzle, when pieced together, looks something like a sculpture carved in stone. Our hint was "Site Our Edges", specifically the capital letters "SOE".

Google SOE and you get the Special Operations Executive, located in London.

I did a google image search looking for SOE and a sculpture and found a blog that linked to a newspaper article on an exhibit in the Natural History Museum in London that has a memorial dedicated to them.

The article can be found here: http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2004/apr/12/arts.education

Also, this was posted yesterday, I believe:

Quote:
Newer blood is joining us - welcome Dennis Mink - now, who here would like to be the Red King? Unfortunately, for reasons unknown, Levi Voland is unavailable [hopefully all is ok - if anyone does know him, please pass on regards] leaving the Red side without a leader. Thus, ANYONE who wishes to stand, email me with the subject header: "Angmo-Asan". At the end of this weekend, any who have posted will be sent a task. If only one, then they will be appointed. Apologies for not waiting longer, but time is of the essence now... PLEASE share amongst all of your friends seen, and UNseen - thank you.

Please, please only respond to that if you can be here. A lot depends on our kings.

It appears things have slowed down a bit while the Red King situation gets sorted. Which has been good as I had to take some time out for treatment for an eye tumor that was diagnosed recently. But I'm back! And hopefully Red will have a leader soon...then we can get back to Chess....

The Silver Box Puzzle: some solves and clues

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The four button combination to open the Silver box is: snow, blood, coal, akur

There's a hidden link on the bottom-right of the binary leading to the primary logic puzzle which Epiphany (Props!) solved first. Answer: 8/1, violet & 24 years old.

Elements from the primary 'Uncle Henry' puzzle appear relevant for solving parts of the 2nd layer puzzle:
1) Decoding the binary message (De compositione numerorum primorum forma 4n+1 ex duobus quadratis) reveals Uncle Henry's Identity

2) Professor (Henry) Smith's lecture payment totals the Answer: 8/1 + the remainder for rest of the nephews.
3) The 2 artist models (in semaphore positions A or 1 and I or 9) represent 2 of his nephews: Benjamin (24) and Ephraim (9 years old)

The scrol has a passage taken from Merchant of Venice. 7 lines end in "S" and this may somehow relate to the TS JS monogram on the silver box's lid. Edit LINK

Another prime 7 PR used is that all the nephews' names are from the film "7 Brides for 7 Brothers". A Pythagorean Theorem is reflected in the looking glass. Answer: The results for the triangle's other two angles are approx.: 37 & 53. Both are prime nbrs. and 37 is also the number of pennies nephew Ephraim had.

Some nephews' money equaled a prime number, others did not. Daniel (14 years old) had 73, Caleb (18 years old) & Frank (2 years old) both ended up with 33, Ephraim had 37, & Gideon (1 year old) had 5. The eldest nephew Adam is 25. Pietro left a hidden clue on the Brian Gamlin page decoding to AGES.

Except for the 67 nbr. repeat on the Speedometer (upper right) its import eludes me as has the 2nd layer's overall solution that is possibly a letter/number code.

G'Luck All with the Silver Box. Will update here if I make any new connex. BTW the letters in the box's background when stretched are a sentence in the film Se7en.
