Red Knight
horsey horsey

Hello all, your red horsey head is a Gunter Von Hagens plastination specimen. I haven't located the source yet, but I'm working on it. Hope this means something to someone.
It's from this exhibition:
http://www.nhm.ac.uk/visit-us/whats-on/temporary-exhibitions/animal-inside-out/index.html I think someone really likes the Natural History Museum as the parachutist sculpture is there as well. Oh, and the silver box is a George the 3rd snuff box http://www.henrywillis.co.uk/antique-english-silver-dealer/2011/george-111-snuff-box-32/
Hope this is useful.

TY. Beaut to see that Box away from the puzzle & learn "capital initials JS". Had already sent PR similar jigsaw info/links yet he is looking for more, a link between both.

Link between GVH and SOE
the Sins of the father?

Turns out Gunter Von Hagens real name is Gunther Gerhard Liebchen (tr.favourite one) and his dad was Gerhard Leibchen, who served in the SS either as a cook, or sent 60 Poles to a concentration camp, depending on which websites you visit. No idea if this is in the right direction.

Gosh - the boards are on Facebook for everyone to see... yes. That's right they are. No more downloading... no more awkwardness via rooms... well, that's not true. You see, to make the next move, you have to include something special in the subject header. And its first come first served... ANYONE can post to the email address for any of the next four moves and it does not have to be in sequence either... 'but how do I find out what to include in the subject header?'... Well, I'd start with a king...
So to clarify, you find a subject header, you get to move ANY piece [legally] on EITHER side... Red can move Green or Red, and vice versa... Or you might not even be on the board and just want to play... up to you... enjoy...

Remember, the bigger game too: last piece on the board will win...

Coffee The Chess puzzle is found somewhere HERE Each 'header' can be used once only. Believe there are atm still 3 up for grabs. Happy to answer questions here.

Once you find the Author connected to a quote that Surname needs to be entered correctly on to the webpage to reveal the unique 'subject header'. Update: Appears a 2nd header was found so now there are 2 up for grabs & PR sent this Silver Box info after I sent him the legend of Pythagoras writing on a mirror

Pietro Radillo in an email wrote:
...indeed and see both illusion and meaning in both blood and mirror surfaces... The mirror was the item found in the silvered chest in 'Merchant' and reflected the foolishness of the person who opened it. It was a tip of the hat towards Pythagoras, both his wisdom and his foolishness...
Had I wanted to make it more 'bloody' I'd have done so, but the intention was more of a hint towards the idea of square numbers, prime numbers and the thought of how the numbers entwine together in the [my note: The Silver Box cipher] puzzle.

In case anyone didn't get this - looks like the game is paused:

FYI: The bold was in 'hidden' text/white text

52 of them, weeks, flying by...
Let me count the ways...

Enough of this.
The time has come for the steps of the sun to be counted once more. The Red King is in check, and this is a point in time where the game shall be paused.
Not stopped.
Paused.
Delayed.
'On hold'.
Not stopped.

Three reasons:
1: - a variety of people playing are about to resume working in school environments, never an easy time for anyone, but for myself, this is a very stressful time and I will be unable to keep to the company's code of 'being ever vigilant' with eyes on you all.
2: - number of players is quite quickly reducing. I am aware that this is potentially a game killer, having a pause of some time BUT a counting, ticking clock can appeal to lots as well - it will give people opportunity to relook at things, perhaps create a wiki and see things that may be linked and to potentially get new people in...
3: - both players and Puppetmaster need a break methinks. The freshness needs to be injected again, funds raised on my part for something I have been asked to do from the organisation, and recent events have drained this from me. No-ones fault but I want to ensure that all three of us are able to assist you all.

Could this message please be broadcast to all who might be aware of our games, in any form, on boards and forums?
Initially, the message of getting others is: Please assist [understanding limits, not all should help]
So when will it restart? Some things in life aren't just told but have to be found...
When an innocent blank canvas is examined closely while those with experience monitor the situation ...
For those that have remained non-stop, thank you. The game will get better and more 'involved' later.
For those that have stepped back - this may give you the time you need to catch up, rejoin and [hopefully] be involved once more...
For those that have helped in the background, my many thanks.
[Feel free to copy and paste all of this message.]

For now though, farewell and thank you for your involvement thus far - see you soon?

Pietro Radillo, Puppetmaster for Intueor.
May Albion prevail...

Following the instructions in the above email's bolded text leads to a a new page with not only an MP4 video but also imo a clue to the ARG's return date:
possible return date clue
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
There is a page prompt (v=C7dpKpq3ORI) that leads to a YT vid titled "Feronia and Alice". Her festival, the Feroniae, was November 13th Wiki LINK Am very much hoping I'm wrong and it returns earlier than this date. EDIT: King Amy FB msged me this a.m. saying she has also seen that prompt and has deduced the same.

Hi folkes. Yes, it's sad to see the game on hiatus but given the small number of people playing (myself included in the last few weeks due to RL stuff), it's probably not unexpected. Many thanks to the PM for a very enjoyable game.

One thing that wasn't mentioned in the post above about the email is that the first part has a series of bold letters like this:

52 of them, weeks, flying by...
Let me count the ways...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Which unscrambled is "helianthus" or sunflower. Given the email subject line is "The Power of Blake" the sunflower reference may point to Blake's poem "Ah! Sunflower!"...which essentially talks about the progression of days. Another potential reference could be the very famous painting "Sunflowers" by Van Gogh in the National Gallery but I think the Blake reference is more likely.

Then we have the line "let me count the ways" which is from the sonnet "How do I love thee?" by Elizabeth Barrett Browning. Not sure there's much meaning here...I tend to overthink stuff, so I'll leave this to someone else to try & find a connection.

So...Most of the references are to the passage of time & it sounds as if we'll see something happen around Nov 13.

Hopefully see you all then!

There's something else hidden in that mail, initially speaking.

Looking at Ah, Sunflower in my copy of SOIAE, hidden beneath is The Lilly.

Langley, where the artist Paul Nash is buried was also home to John Milton, friend of Blake.

13th November has many occurrences, but perhaps the most interesting from our point of view is the solar eclipse. A sort of marriage of innocence and experience....

An interesting thought that, actually, as moon phases were hinted at earlier on. It's almost like a crossing over between day & night, moon & sun. The PM seems to like his celestial happenings...lol.

Quote:
"Towards the end of his life, Blake's poem 'Ah! Sun-Flower' became another source of inspiration for Nash's art, leading him to depict a series of gigantic sunflowers such as Sunflower and Sun (1942) and Eclipse of the Sunflower (1945). In these late art works, Nash does not simply respond to the obvious energy of the emblematic flower, but also to the ambivalent tone of melancholy within Blake's original poem." Quote Source

Yaha, quite interesting. With only an initial Very Happy enthusiasm for an artist new to me it appears Paul Nash's painting, Eclipse of the Sunflower, connects Blake's poem, the 13th Nov. solar eclipse and the John Milton,"Paradise Lost", reference (Fall... Embrace) Pietro Radillo has made in his final FB comment.

There are rumblings in the Radillo camp tonight...both Pietro & Vlad have posted a link to Wiki's page on Remembrance Sunday on their FB pages.

A time to reflect on the amazing service our war heros provided for their country...& an opportunity to remember Sergei's death in a Nazi concentration camp in WW2 & how it affected the brother dynamic, perhaps?

"For those who wish to know how our past affects our future..."

Methinks the game is about to restart.....

***edited to add***

Did anyone ever work out who all the people were in the White Noise video? (click on the canvas in the Green Room...it changes the picture to dark. Click on the canvas again. In the red room, it's on the computer monitor). The music is "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" by Blue Oyster Cult but I don't think I ever got round to working out who all the people are.

Ah...never mind. I had an urge to check out Wiki this morning & work it out. The white noise video in the Green Room (it's also in the Red Room) lists the following people in order:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

1. Ayaan Hirsi Ali
2. Arthur Nebe
3. Stephen Baxter
4. Esaias Tegnér
5. Andrés Manuel López Obrador
6. Cyril Lucaris
7. Fred Phelps, Sr.
8. Garry Marshall
9. John Dickinson
10. Saul Kripke
11. Leon Leonwood Bean
12. Max Dehn
13. Motoo Kimura

They were all born on Nov 13...plus there are 13 people...so it's another pointer to Nov 13 being the start up date for the ARG. Not long to go.

Yaha, the ARG has resumed with the previous players receiving an email likely filled with cryptic clues and a new jigsaw JPEG . Also, for anyone wanting to jump in:

Pietro Radillo on his FB page wrote:
It has begun. An email is sent to players listed to me already. if you have not been emailed, email me now with the subject: "add me to interviewee list". My email address: pietroradilloSPLATgmail.com

EDIT: In a message prompt for those working this puzzle PR wrote:
"Which operation am I wanting to know about...?
Why that amount of pieces in the jigsaw?" [My note: There are 88 pieces I believe]

And later PR mentioned: Look at the ships you have found. Look into their history - the word will stand out when you look closely at them - royally so...
and advise looking at the date the puzzle was set. [My note: 13 November I believe]

ETA: With the puzzle now solved I've realized that PR's prompts above are quite helpful. HTH
