[DEAD BLOG] The Tutorial
One kid's flight from the Slender Man, and how you can do it too.

Okay, so whilst looking through people replying to other Slender Blogs, I noticed a guy called "M" commenting on a couple. Out of interest, I thought I'd take a look at his profile, and it appears that he's running a part-backstory-part-blog-part-educational story thing here. It's quite interesting, and like Zeke from Seeking Truth, he's reaching out to other blogs. It's an interesting tactic and his reminiscences are quite vivid.
If you're curious, you can check it out here: The Tutorial, by M

Please do let me know what you think.

It's interesting and creepy at times, but IMO it feels like he's trying too hard to make it seem real.

I'm going to read this now. I have a feeling it'll remind me of things like The SCP Foundation and The Zombie Survival Guide.

Well, I like it. But it's gonna be a total mind**** if all of these blogs actually do end up connected somehow Laughing .

It's not so much an SCP or ZSG as it is a first-hand account, much like other Slender-blogs. This guy's trying to make sense of it all as he goes along, though that he's opening it up to other blogs is interesting, too.

It's a serious wall of text, though. XD *slowly reading through it all!*

Yeah, I just finished it myself. The part that got a hook in me, so to speak, was the writer's nod to the fact that the now popular "Operator Symbol" is a symbol used in Mathematics.

The rationalization of how Slenderman operates is nice. I'm kind of interested to see where he takes this blog. We know he's on the run, we know he's using what amounts to empirical knowledge to protect himself, and we know that he's having run-ins with other victims of Slenderman. That's a lot to work with.

Indeed, I'm impressed. This could be very interesting, especially if it crosses into other slenderblogs.

Does anyone else notice the irony that he's writing a blog about Slenderman when he specifically states that people become targeted by Slenderman when they READ ABOUT HIM?

A friend of mine pointed it out and I noticed it myself, but...it's kind of backwards logic even if he is trying to help out people who are already being stalked.

It needs a big disclaimer at the top of 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it!' to help those folks out who aren't being stalked by Slender Man -- 'read at your own risk', I suppose.

It'd be neat it there were an IC sort of wiki where people who were still being stalked could leave messages. Sort of like the left 4 dead safe house wall vandalization.

Wow, I really enjoy this blog. Another good one has been spit out. I'm gonna laugh when it turns out that the Seeking Truth persons(s) made this blog too, just to cross them.

Ooh, another good one!

I really like this "Slender Man is stupid" approach, mainly because I always sort of did see him as a head-tilting curious scary-as-hell otherworldly abomination who manages to be very frightening and very violent but actually is largely very clueless about human beings.

(Just because I like to be constructive: I don't really think it's a good idea to be assigning meanings to things that Marble Hornets came up with and hasn't even explained yet, like the operator symbol; it also annoys the hell out of me that this guy never types out the word 'one', mostly because I can't tell if that's supposed to have some sort of significance or if it's just lazy typing. >: |)

Agreeing with him using '1' in place of 'one'. That had better wind up having a meaning or else, in his words, it's just stupid. XD

And despite each entry being quite long, it's also fairly interesting. I think that, despite him assigning meanings to things and giving advice, one could easily say that he's writing what has worked for him; it could all be bull to another character, after all!

Hence why I specified that he was working off of Empirical Evidence. What he's seen, heard, experienced. It isn't necessarily tested or 100% accurate, but he's seen it and it seems to work.

Edit: Either the creator of The Tutorial reads this forum, or this latest entry is one massive coincidence.
