New Video opened

Thanks to NoSubject and JimBooze I've opened the video from the new DMG file. The video is called "NdaftqdOtmpEfqd.mov" and there are codes to be solved. It's an RAR file and the password is

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
"Apocalyptic Potential"

Jack Miller, spy, patriot, whistleblower? The website no longer exists, though the screen grabs seem to explain what (not who) RHINO was. Six (or is it 7?) years ago everybody thought Rhino was a person. Also some of the clues seemed to lead the forum to things related to psychic phenomena (Buell Mullen, Khazinski), but there was no way to be certain. Maybe now we can be certain? If RHINO was a government program involving psychic spies, how does it relate to the game?

Due to no computer at home and lack of ability to add things to my work computer I cannot see any of these new clues, is it really a new video that was never released? are there new screen shots of things? can anyone upload these so I may view them?
Thanks

The new video (NdaftqdOtmpEfqd.mov which ROTs to BrotherChadster) has the following text in it:

dWN2IHdpamQgZHNsIHBlZyBza3N5IHRlZ3M=

dGVjaHdhZCBub3Mgc29sZQ==

Ywpkc2V5dHIgZm5kaHRlIGVqd2tvaQ==

The first text, if Base 64, translates to: "ucv wijd dsl peg sksy tegs" this has over 400 anagrams that don't look promising and ROTs to gibberish.

The third text, if Base 64, translates to: "c dseytr fndhte ejwkoi" which also seems to mean nothing.

The second text is Base 64 and translates to: "techwad nos sole" which gives us the password to opening the next folder: PiousHeart_01

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
"techwad nos sole" (Anagram/ROT/Anagram) reveals: "watched him lose" the password is "watchedhimlose". Login name is Rhino again.

I'm working on the contents of the new DMG file now.

Jack Miller

The Jack Miller story: The first email to his wife (Sarah) is dated 9/11/01 and shows that he was very busy that day and that he worked for the NSF (the National Science Foundation). Subsequent emails tell us that his brother Thomas, died on 9/11. In April 2002 he says that he's "feeling useless" at the NSF and that a career change is coming. The next email is dated May, 2003. He is now working for a government agency called RHINO.

so I was looking through the directory trying to type in the passwords you guys have given out, and i found the DEAD LETTER option which let me open save a zip file, where I found these.

I tried to scan the barcode with my phone, to no avail.... and the rock on the bottom of the front page resembles a cube (could be nothing)

I apologize if this was already found, and if it has just let me know and I will remove this lengthy post

Yes we have seen this. The clues in the postcard led us to the password for the first RAR file (a video).
I wouldn't delete the post though. (The emails should open in any word processor. I think.)

Jack's Email

Here's the text from all of the emails sent from Jack Miller to his wife Sarah. Hope this helps.

From the second folder:

Quote:

From: Jack Miller <jmiller17>
Subject: Damn
Date: September 11, 2001 11:22:04 PM EDT
To: Sarah Miller <sarahumiller>

Dear Sarah,
We've been swamped all day (obviously) and I couldn't call. I don't think it would have gone through anyway. Things here are insane. I'll leave it at that. It was just a matter of time …

Jack

Dear Sarah,
Have you heard from my brother?

Jack

Nevermind.

From: Jack Miller <jmiller17>

To: Sarah Miller <sarahumiller>

Dear Sarah

I'm really feeling useless here. I met somebody the other day. I think a career change is coming. More later.

Jack
Fearlessly missing you.

Dear Sarah,
I'm so sorry that it's been so long since I last wrote you. I wish I could have been there with you on your birthday. Was your mom able to make it? This new posting is really busting my balls. Don't get me wrong, I love it. It's a major career move as well as an important contribution. But I really miss you! 3 weeks is way too long to go without. (Phone sex just doesn't compare!)

The people here are all pretty nice. They've taken me around to a few of their favorite hang-outs (don't worry, I'm being "good") and I've even been invited to dinner a few times. Being around like-minded people really lets me dive deep into my work. Speaking of which … sorry. I'll call tomorrow.

Jack

I love you and miss you!

From the third folder:

From: Jack Miller <jmiller>
Subject: so Sorry!
Date: July 5, 2003 6:08:37 PM EDT
To: Sarah Miller <sarahumiller>

Dear Sarah,
No, I haven't forgotten about you! It's just that I tend to crash as soon as I get back from work. Which lately isn't very often. I should have come on as a contractor instead of employee, then I would be collecting overtime! And you could finally get that new Mazda. (You deserve it babe. If only for putting up with me.) A couple more years of this and I should be able to write my own ticket in the private sector. I'm stretching my skills and knowledge to practically the breaking point, but I'm picking-up new ones along the way. This is so cool. NSF was nothing like this! (Don't tell Mark I said that.)

Jack
I love you and miss you!

From: Jack Miller <jmiller>
Subject: New Neighbors?
Date: May 12, 2004 7:22:09 AM EDT
To: Sarah Miller <sarahumiller>

Dear Sarah,
I'm taking a dinner break so I thought I would write. Tell me more about the new neighbors. 6 kids? My god what were they thinking?! Don't worry, I would never put you through some like that. Nothing even remotely like that. (They must have cooked thousands of hotdogs!) I think 2 is a good number. I have leave coming up in another 7 weeks. Maybe we should get started? Wink Kids, not hotdogs! Ha, ha, ha! … I bet that came as a surprise! What can I say? I've let my mind wander a bit while working with these kids and have thought that maybe a legacy isn't such a bad idea. A complete 180 I know, but probably not unwelcomed?

Well, gotta choke down this cafeteria slop and get back to it. Say hi to your mom. Hope she's getting better. I'll call later today.

Jack
I love you and miss you!

Dear Sarah,
Sorry again. The job's important, but not more important than you. I hope you know that. Tony has locked us all in and says we can't leave before Independence Day (ha!). Seriously. I will try to be home next weekend. Time just keeps slipping away.

Love,
Jack

Thanks

I really appreciate you posting that, now I am trying to work on seeing that other video.

this is all so strange compared to the first BG, videos being delivered to eddy, no real talk of government.

HOWEVER, i recall someone finding a video on Youtube when BG first started of the Eddie character wearing army fatigues complaining about the government, but it never lead anywhere and it seemed as if that video was scrapped for the more paranoid eddie.... if only we could see all his original videos.

Thank you again for posting those emails

I agree, the story has taken a weird turn. But you can view the original videos at:

Another solution?

What a weird video. (REmzpTS which ROTs to FsandHG - are the video names screen names?) The frat guy (BrotherChadster?) tells us some kid hung himself. There's some psycho girl (her friends name is Jacqueline) who "hates the sinner", a stand-up comedian with questionable taste, and it all ends with another smileyface. I get it. Smileyface is important. I worked on the text in the video there's (oajcsq) which I can't figure out, and (uyraf?t=aGGxnsL5fbe) which ROTs to watch?v=cIIzpuN5hdg which is the last part of a YouTube URL.

It leads to a video about the word Jabroni. Jabroni was one of the earlier Bristel Goodman ARG players. Just like Jimbooze. Are they being singled out for a reason? I've sent Jabroni a PM to let him/her know.

Nothing

No response from Jabroni. What happened to these people?

Modal, how did you open the video (RemzpTS.rar) file? What's the password?

Oops

Sorry. It worked just like the previous video. The audio file (ManRailingVetI) is the key. If you listen carefully you can hear the words Remain Vigilant between the two clicks. As ManRailingVetI anagrams to Remain Vigilant I tried it as the password for the RAR file. This might be the method for the remaining folders?
