I mentioned earlier that there is a Touch connection to Daybreak other than the dodecahedron because the Subject 47 video clip had
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Aster Corp on the clipboard. Aster is Latin for star (like a five-pointed star for example) and we can divide a pentagon (like the jack boxer lid) into a star pentagram. PHI or the golden ratio can be found throughout a transcribed pentagram so I'll suggest we might keep this in mind in our travels. It might come up later.

couldn't find an aster website in the touch/daybreak world, although there are a number of real companies having that name.

regarding app:
not sure what i did exactly to make the globe disappear, so took screenshots of the commandline jibberish in the back.

from the attached image, there's a 'teslanetwork'(singular) with copyrights. google didn't find anything useful. there is a teslanetworks.com (plural) that is a wireless communications company but i couldn't find any ties to daybreak per se; but it reminds me of all the mentions & sighting of tesla in this game.

edited to add:
it's kind of iffy, but if i remember correctly... on the ios app, if you're on the main menu & turn off the display(black screen) then turn it back on later, there's no bottom menu and the globe disappears. gps is at 0.

i'm not sure if this is a bug or a 'feature' but it lets you see the background terminal. the font is too small to read so take screenshots to review later. other than tesla network, i didn't see anything standing out. but may need to review later to be sure.

behind the scenes:

over on twitter, director jon cassar linked to this daybreak article:

http://www.monstersandcritics.com/smallscreen/features/article_1698945.php/ATT-hitches-with-right-creatives-web-series-Daybreak-fast-paced-addictive

at the very bottom of the article there's a video that contains spoilers. embedded below for convenience(don't watch if you don't want to be spoiled):

on the daybreakers site this image(acutally four images) corresponds to the ones in the flickr photostream:

i assume there are other spots to be found with messages/communique to discover.

update #3:
regarding the quadrant of images i posted above: the los angeles photo could be anywhere. it is questionable if it is actually in los angeles. why? right by the girl's head, there's a 'shop your values week' poster. a bit of research on that campaign shows it was may 3rd to 10th in new york city. i couldn't find anything substantial that would tie the event to los angeles.

To back up the New York location theory I looked up Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and the Roseland Ballroom on those dates and sure enough it was in New York city. In this case we are having to find the truth regarding this possible typo (or is it just part of the quest?). At any rate it appears that 2 of the 4 are in NYC (unless it's NYC posters in LA [which is unlikely]). Still not confirmed though that it's NYC but the evidence is mounting.

speculation on toronto location:

that got me thinking about the toronto location since it didn't 'feel' right. the puzzlemakers have offices in sweden, singapore & new york city. the premiere was in sunset tower hotel in west hollywood, ca (essentially los angeles). while some of them have worked in toronto in past projects, currently i don't see any immediate reason for any of them to take the time and trouble of creating a jack boxer under a bridge somewhere in toronto - and most significantly on yonge street in particular.

i've visited toronto before and don't recall seeing a bridge on yonge -which is mostly a paved road on land & serving as minor overpasses in a few areas. note the rails at the bottom of the picture on flickr indicating possibly a walkway or pathway. it's a different landscape.

so, looking on google maps it appears there are a few locations where a body of water crosses yonge street. farther north is past the city limit. another one is down south by the harbour, finally intersecting queens quay. but i don't think the harbour matches a bridge structure. other ones are way up north and appears more rural than urban, heading out of town.

if it is actually on the location stated, it may be somewhere in the vicintiy of old york mills rd. or even mill street bridge near yonge st. but even that is skeptical because the graffiti would be completely hidden from view due to the trees and brush + the walkway parallel to the bridge on either side wouldn't make sense.

in all plausibility, if it is in fact in toronto, i'm guessing that it's not literally on yonge st. while i could be wrong, i have my doubts about that one too.

Just in case the woman in the "LA" staged photo was staged herself (it looks that way to me), I wondered if her shirt might have meaning. I figured that it says "Searching for a heart of gold" and found the shirt, if anyone is curious. Its colors are reversed. I don't see any relevance though.

I can't read what is above jackboxers.com on the posters.

cool find on the t-shirt. sometimes clothing retailers have a different selection or variation of what they put online. she could have simply bought the shirt from an actual brick & mortar / physical store. coincidentally, i once found a men's buckle shirt for $5 that they sell online for $60+.

the poster on the far left is advertising chuckculture.com - a new york local online magazine. the image on their poster is on their facebook page:

unless we can find its actual location on google streetview or something, i think we're beating a dead horse with this particular image. lol it's not los angeles, but still interesting to see what we can find. Smile

What was in the folder? I know I had that folder at one point, but after software updates I don't seem to have that one anywhere in my archive now.

The missing "Toronto" blog image (22) complete with the previous comments is back now on jackboxers.

Agreed on the "LA" image unless something comes to light later. I don't see the golden heart connecting to the golden spiral or the golden ratio as that's likely coincidence that gold is mentioned on the shirt.

The lab dude in the test subject 47 clip is actor Armin Shimerman (DS9's Quark). The number 47 itself is a recurring artifact in various Star Trek episodes and also JJ Abrams shows like Fringe.

as posted earlier about my doubts on the toronto location, i've searched the tag names on the bridge and keep hitting up germany, particularly berlin or frankfurt for the taggers olik and nor. the 007 at the top of the bridge is partial but bdr007 shows up as maybe a possibility. 007 by itself has a number of pics in germany. it's not conclusive either way but seems less like toronto to me.

just noticed that on the app if you rotate the globe to any dodecahedron corner point vertex, it triggers the sound.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
and i thought wilkins is supposed to be dead.

in the terminal:
activate -quicksand

comm center:

wilkins
"Out situation is like quicksand, and you'll be sucked in soon, if you aren't already. I don't know who I can trust, but you've gotten this far... I've locked most of my files for safety. if you're worthy, you'll find a key in the Links."

another message later perhaps because i already unlocked the folder last week just by guessing - exam folder w/ pass key:
"You know this shape. Now use it to find what you're looking for."

thread locked.

new message from someone named lars:

"A Pentagon. Of course the symbol is significant on its own, but Wilkins also said something about folders..."

so, the links pdf has more stuff to solve. since there are three dashes, i suspect there are three terminal commands to find in four of the links.

back tracking,
1. energy & vibration: h p w
2. information is energy, irrational functions
3. flower of life youtube video
4. manifestation process [P7: 28-29] <- solved: from an earlier post, "Golden ratio" entered previously in terminal & got a pentagon.

from the dashes i suspect numbers 1, 2 & 4 are commands. 1 & 2 have yet to be solved.

Nothing new in the comm center for me today. Wonder if I have missed something to unlock. Still don't have the exam folder and now all of the previous correspondence in my comm center is gone.

ETA: which came first, the quicksand email, or the activate command? If the command, then where did that come from?
