Spoiler (Rollover to View):
just a small correction: the pdf says [Gurdjieff] [P7: 28-29]

i didn't find anything significant on gurdjieff.org's site where a link was provided on the page regarding a 7th section or paragraph or whatnot with 28-29. so, i started looking to any potential significance of what it means.

going back to the dodecahedron.html page, section/paragraph 7 talks about pentagons. the 28th and 29th words are: 'Golden ratio' i'm thinking it's deliberate so tried it on the 'exam', 'white rabbit' and 'fibonacci' folders without any success. again, that's trying to find meaning from "[P7: 28-29]"

also, when jack is sending those messages to our inboxes, anybody know what he means by trying the numbers: 12.8x5 and 7.5x4? if it's regarding decrypting the images, i did two of them manually trial & error style without referring to the hints/solutions.

I think it might have been one of the hints for the first image decryption but off (if you multiply them)

Since after Jack had sent me

Here is the PDF just so we don't have to worry about any transcription problems.

Terminal Scripts

Whoa! Yes, this may be just starting but the terminal in the Jack Boxer App is just oozing with so much unknown.

I have spent like three hours just posted random words in the terminal and I think I hit on an explanation about the North Kingdom reference.

If you go to the Terminal and type in "northkingdom"

It prompts you with who they are and where they are from... then it tells:

"The myth entails that we are creative creatures from the dark days of winter that live into the endless summer days of night"

What the hell does that mean? I am going to keep looking to see if I find anything else in the terminal. Let's hope more information comes soon.

good find loka Smile

here's a word-for-word transcript from the terminal:

Quote:
We are a digital creative agency from Sweden.
Kingdom of the North.
First Monarchy of Creativity.

The myth entails that we are creative creatures from the dark days of winter that live into the endless summer days of night.

the about me page on http://www.northkingdom.com/about/ starts off the same way:
Quote:
WHO WE ARE
We are a digital creative agency from Sweden. Our headquarters and heritage is in the far north, a small town next to the polar circle called Skellefteå. Through years of innovation and exploration in the digital medium, we've held on to what we feel is important – creative freedom, quality of work and curiosity – always with our feet on the ground and in high spirits. We like to see ourselves as a small, flexible, fast-moving team with big ideas. We have friends and partners all over the world to help us make those ideas come alive.

you can read more about them there.
they have a different whois info than daybreak2012.com, but it's possible they could be behind this game.

North Kingdom is one of the groups involved in producing Daybreak, so just an easter egg I would say.

it's interesting to note that this game has actual locations you can discover.

google streetview of the arizona address shows the spot/general area where ben is revving his motorcycle.

the image of the dumpster from flickr
http://www.flickr.com/photos/79477252@N03/7310426826/in/set-72157629988480006/
can can be seen on streetview as well:

http://goo.gl/maps/5wRA

other images on flickr appear to use the same model dslr but in various locations around the world -sweden in a few spanning the month of may.

there's also an image of jack boxer under a bridge. may be it's a reference to the wilkins' audio file where he says it's 'water under the bridge'?

speculation:
the new post over at jackboxer about sacred geometry -as a possibility-seems like they are hinting at using geometric shapes or other kinds of puzzle clues to create a 'dodecahedron' solution. shapes as letters of the alphabet.

On the Google streetview http://goo.gl/maps/5wRA it shows a yin-yang Tao symbol. Anyone need a back & foot rub? The yin-yang symbol is considered sacred geometry as in http://earthacupuncture.info/sacred_geometry.htm and especially http://www.dodecahedron.us/Dodecahedron.html

I clicked through to the Vesica institute at the bottom of the sacred geometry page and poked around a bit. It's likely not related directly but:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I couldn't help but notice how their 'tree of life' symbol matches the outlines of the Jackboxer on the site when you scan him with the recognizer, they both have those nine points. http://www.vesica.org/spiritual-science-home/courses

terminal easter egg:

on the jack boxer app 101 intro (seen here),

YouTube: Link

there's a folder called 'carl' in the archive part of the presentation.

entering carl in the terminal outputs another easter egg. basically it's minimal basic ascii art saying 'ftw' - aka, for the win.

entering cassar -who is the director of the first episode, outputs: John Mantegna.

enter raven (screenplay writer raven metzner) outputs: 'That's so Raven'

carter (david carter - co-creator) outputs: 'Joe Carter - Stanley Cup Champion 2023'

adam outputs: 'Oliver. The best dog ever.'

danilo (co-creator danilo boer) outputs some awesome ascii art that i won't be able to transcribe here. Smile

lubars (david lubars, exectiove producer) outputs: 'Go Red Sox!!!'

at&t outputs: 'Rethink Possible'

rob (editorial executive producer) outputs ascii art 'rob'

monterosa outputs a ton of stuff (excluding the accent marks above the letters):

We are the real Jack Boxers...

The Team
---
Johan Stahle - Project Manager
Katrin Hjelm - Producer
Carl Bock - Creative Director
Anton Holmquist - Technical Director
Hannes Wikstrom - Lead Interaction Designer
Anders Frank - Senior iOS Developer
Anton Holmberg - iOS Developer
Andreas Areschoug - iOS Developer
Andreas Mattsson - Senior Android Developer
Henric Malmberg - Senior Android Developer

katrin outputs:
Turning chaos into structure.

anton outputs:
Holmquist?
Homberg??
Johansson???
Bailing out..
Script terminated.

hannes outputs:
Wizard of Interaction.

anders outputs:
Puzzle genius.

so, the puzzlemakers involved with the tech side of the game are:
http://monterosa.se/contact/
&
http://www.northkingdom.com

monterosa has offices in stockholm, singapore & new york - which i would assume the flicker photostream would have photos in those locations as well as los angeles -where a premiere for daybreak was held...

which leads me to mention that if you search instagram for daybreak, daybreak2012, jackboxer or jackboxers, you will see some behind the scenes and other related game / web series stuff, which are not quite the game itself but interesting to see.

Has anyone tried scanning the jack boxer logo here?
http://www.att.com/Common/about_us/files/pdf/jb_stencil.jpg
Looks like it gives you a way to check in from a location, most likely in conjunction with scanning one of the tags on the street.

I think we'll also be able to communicate through them with each other. If we happen to be in the same area or something.

raven metzner, who is involved with daybreak, has been posting some jackboxer images on his twitter from various locations.

one of them, the dumpster with the 'bacon' tag above it, is found in the jackboxer flickr photostream. twitter handle: mraven257

it may become pertinent clues later on so just keeping it in mind for now. at the very least, it's a peak behind the scenes.

It would appear that I've reached the end of episode 1.

Got a message from Sanchez, saying
"Take care until you hear from us, and stay up to date on our Jack Boxers site as we will continue to spread the Truth.
Veritas Lux Mea."
So, there's that.

Also, in decoding the frequencies from Jackboxers.com I get
1.61803, but that doesn't appear to lead anywhere.

Edit:

Also. scanning the image on the blog says to "Ask the terminal."
One of the tags on that post is -surprise, i'll update again with what it leads to

Edit(2):

"activate -surprise"
Just loads a small ASCII of a triangle with an Asterisk forming the top point and octothorpes (Pound signs) on the sides.
