Faceless Man in NYC/Toronto

I saw this on Stumbleupon as well. The uploader of the fifth video that you linked seemed to be open to PMs, so I shot him a message.

And I doubt it's Slender Man related at all. Slender Man usually lurks in forests, is more subtle, and has no trace of a face at all. This just seems to be a strange looking man, an attempt at a new ARG, or some promotion tactic.

Either way, I was interested enough to look up all the videos in this thread before I even got here.

Had a bit of a look into the chatter about this, quite a bit of stuff on ufo type sites about it as well as some comments on it being a burns victim. I have to agree this is some sort of trail head. The only other realistic explanation of it being a burns victim doesn't really fit, mainly because the nose 'remnant' is to long to be real, if his nose really was missing it would end just below his eyes, not that far down his face. That plus the "Faceless Man" phrase being used in all the titles.

That said they did do a really good job on the make-up, definitely using some latex and prosthetics, some good techniques techniques for the camera/phones and the limited screentime.

Looking forward to seeing how this develops

EDIT:

So, is the most recent video from Toronto? The earlier ones were from New York. Does that mean there are TWO (or more) Faceless Men, or has he moved up and accross the border recently? Hmm...

I found that strange as well. I saw two videos originating in Toronto that had the same looking person/entity/whathaveyou.

Though I think the one that struck me as more odd was the one that someone just seemed to find on their phone. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFHhL96G3vI&feature=related) Seeing as how he returned their phone, this Faceless Man doesn't seem to be a bad guy, though I suppose he has attacked at least one person.

The attack video got my heart pumping and my plasma flowing.

I'd like to see how this turns out as well.

My guess is he is a Proxy blessed(cursed?) with powers and thus he has parts of his face missing as a consequence.

This definitely has to be an advertisement for...something. All of the posted videos have similar accounts (usually full names and 1 video each) and all the tags are essentially the same.
