odd coded audio that warns about the future
Ok, yet another find on /x/

So, here's the Spreaker Page for Umbra.

So far, there are six recordings, five of which feature a synthetic female voice reading numbers, a la Number stations. Each message is preceded by a sound blast, a clip of music, another noise blast, and then the message.

For those of you who don't want to take the time to listen, here's a transcript, as provided by /x/.

This one is an image, deciphered with RX-SSTV v.1.2.2, using RX: Scottie 1



This leaves us with #6. Here's the numbers I pull from it:

I have no idea what to do here. I've tried vigenere and ROT-x, I'm not sure what else to try. The other interesting thing is that at the end of six, there's some actual live mic stuff. toying around with it, there's a male voice repeating Sangre Madre a couple of times. There's a bunch of mic skitter too, but I can't tell if there's anything useful under it.

So, what do you make of this? There's also been some speculation on /x/ about the circle of light, may 1st occupation and slavic labor days, and all manner of bullshittery. I can't make heads or tails of it, I'm here for the story and the codebreaking.

#7 was posted on 04 April. I won't post the transcript because it's quite long.

I've entered question marks as I cannot make out what that part is.

On a side note, the piece of music at the beginning of each transmission is familiar...and also an umbra is another name for a Total Eclipse of a planetary body.

So, if we assume that 'Y W Z B L X V L' is 'PASSTYPE' [as passtype has been the first word in nearly all of them], we cal tell that this is a more complex cipher. So, my first assumption is Vigenere, as it always is.

So, I begin deciphering with a few context-relative words, like circleoflight, mayfirst, etc., but then I remembered that the only word in the last message was RETRIBUTION. So, plugging that in got nothing, but then I tried reversing the process [making the cipher a Beaufort Variant], and this is what I get:

Were there other line breaks or spacings in your ciphertext? If I shift the key along the length of what you've posted, the stuff at the end does decipher into plain text (but then the rest of the message is garbled, of course)

Just to remind you UMBRA is still going on.
We recieved 26 transmissions until now.
Some include CCTV hidden images. (use RX-SSTV to reveal them)
One tranmission (possibly fake) was on IRC channel.
One (25th) included drop of letter in Korea Seul but we didn't manage to pick it up in time.
Now new channel was discovered on youtube.

Our Charon arrived in San Diego and let us another drop point, but we are not able to pick it up again.

 		We missed another drop, but we post crypted request (in comments on umbra youtube spreake and /x/) to drop it near on of our members, and we got answer. Transmission 30 from umbra spreaked channel uses new cypher, same as we used to contact umbra. That proves that trans 30 is meant for us, and that we didnt intercept some random transmissions.
So umbra/Charon is communicating with us.
Now we are waiting for coordinates of next (third) drop.

 		we just got 31. transmission, its not deciphered yet but we were able to extract drop location and SSTV images

 		Shit just got even more real! This is getting bigger.
As soon as we decipher USB message, we got another message directly in our IRC channel. It is basically saying that we have to go to some mansion near LA, where we will meet Virgil, and he will explain to us some things...
