THEY CALL ME PASTABAGEL

Wait, does this mean that all this stuff I'm saying is already in the forums somewhere? Where? I can't find a damn thing around here.

In the interaction section look for one of my early conversations with Reggie, I asked him to watch the doctor's silver car as it left the parking lot. He could see the front plate fine, but couldn't see the numbers on the back one, but did mention the "howling Coyote" that was on the front plate. That is part of the reason we think it is the same doctor that Jake saw.
Let me see if I can still find stuff...

magesteff: have you seen the license plate on God's car? He must have an interesting one...
magesteff: If I can follow his moves, I may learn what other pieces are available
xover222: he is typical. a siloutte of a coyote on his front license plate.
magesteff: and on the back one?
xover222: i cannot see it.
xover222: i have tried.

...
...
magesteff: Watch Reggie, watch the back plate
...
xover222: i cannot see the plate. he turns the car before the wall.

Reggie calls me steffmage and I can find lost information.

I think Trickster got a very brief mention, but nothing we real did a lot of digging into. That is still virgin turf. At the time Reggie called me steffmage, he was on a lot of anti psycotics- namely clozapine. Caretaker said that he was diagnosed with scizophrenia, but if they were looking for an easy way to medicate that might be why. He did mention voices. I think he also may have asked one of the other players if he knew steffmage (I think Drizjr.).

Hmmm. Maybe by reversing your name he was trying to communicate "TakeCare". Or maybe there's more to it. Anybody have the DSM handy? Are the drugs he's taking appropriate for his condition? Maybe it doesn't matter.

What definitely matters is me getting some banana creme pie toute de suite. Let's get on it.

Did anyone bother to ask Reggie what the voices in his head say? If you listen closely, you can just make them out. Like shadows in the darkness.

Do you hear them? At the edges of your mind, at the brink of your sanity, they're whispering...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
...THEY CALL HIM PASTABAGEL...

Clozapine is used for treatment-resistant schizophrenia. It can commonly cause an intensification of dream activity, which could explain his trouble sleeping. 7% of patients report headache.

Here's a page with a lot of big words about it Wink :

http://www.mentalhealth.com/drug/p30-c02.html

EDIT: Just to add some more info about the others that he mentioned.

Sumatriptan succinate, commonly marketed as Imitrex. Used for severe migranes. Not much interesting about it, except for occasional reports of panic disorder.

Tylenol-3, a combonation of acetaminophen and codeine. It should not be used with antipsychotics (the side affects can be additive), but there is nothing indicating that he is still on the Clozapine. It may still be in his food though, from his essay.

Hmmm... one hypothesis I am starting to kick around is from a comment Jake made in the first blog

It appears that he thought the time line could not be "skewed" far off what it was. Reference January 5th entry:

Quote:
None of my calculations allowed for this kind of temporal disruption. If I was wrong about this, what else could I have been wrong about?

So it looks like Jake is saying the the time stream is fairly set, and doesn't take to getting pushed out of the stream bed. Could it be that even when disrupted that it has a self correcting mechanism that brings everything back to the original path?

Granted the time line is skewed, but so far all the factors leading up to Jake's first jump ARE coming back together. Reggie, Caretaker, NRU, Prof. Z, all moving back toward what was, what should be happening.

Which brings up the Religious discussion of Free Will vs Predestination.
Free Will says that some of the factors would never happen if we had chose a different path to take, Predestination states that no matter which choise you make, things will happen one way or another.

Howling coyote

Perhaps the doctor supports the 'Phoenix Coyotes' http://www.phoenixcoyotes.com/index.php - their logo is a howling coyote and they're sure to have license plates for sale...
