I think an "other media" page on the menu with links to the original thread, the big three, some of the major blogs etc. it might even be worth adding pointers towards chasechan's complete slenderverse list.

And no...People are more annoyed about it as it's an example of the sort of people who have been attracted to the game post-pewdiepie/dollaz and how we need to educate them to the best of our ability xD

See, I actually like pewdiepie, and I don't really care about him promoting the game. If anything, we should be thankful that more people are getting into the Mythos.

Well you know, there's always going to be people like that. I've run into people who think Calvin is "that kid who pees on the logos", and who think that Gir is "that cute dog from Hot Topic". So what you do is educate them, not get mad.

And no, people arent getting into the mythos because of pewdiepie. They're getting into the gam. In fact they're completely disregarding or, in some cases, mocking the mythos.

Hey Parsec, is there any chance you could add something like "A Game Based on the Slender Man Mythos" to the intro sequence of Slender? There's a lot of folks who are under the impression that you created Slender Man now. Razz

It would fit between the presents bit and the title card pretty easily and I really don't think it would detract from the game at all. There's a lot of talk on Tumblr and Facebook about people assuming Slender is the source of Slender Man.

That is a good idea.

I was watching the Rage Quit with a few friends, & one of the players mentioned using the stars to navigate. Is that actually possible? Is the sky actually realistic, with constellations, a north star that points north, etc.?

Sorry to hear about the little annoyances since you've decided to become publicly awesome. Too much or too little recognition aside, you've made something of tremendous quality that makes people happy (eventually) and should be proud.

I was a little surprised that the SM model just stands there with his arms at his sides instead of reaching out for you, regardless of distance (the creepiest part of my imagination when I read the stories,) but the model looks good.

This game is amazing. It has tons of potential, and for a free,for-fun game, it is very well done.

This brought it's popularity, but that is what the problem is. I have shown all my friends the concept of Marble Hornets about a year ago when this game didn't exist. They all thought it was stupid, it sucks, not scary, blah blah blah...

Then this game was created. Everyone in my school now talks about it. Everyone plays it.

Then you run over the vast majority of people who call Slenderman "SLENDER".

Everyone thinks this game is the origins of the mythos. It sucks how so many people are misinformed. How did this game get so popular so fast? I have nothing against this game, but in my opinion, it kills the roots of the original mythos and how people view it. Some people think hes real! Its stupid! "GUYS GUYS IM SCARED AFTER PLAYING THIS SLENDER GAME I TOOK A PICTURE OF MY BACKYARD AND FOUND HIM! TAKE A LOOK HES REAL"!

I thoroughly support adding some kind of conformation that this is based of something else, not its own game. I mean this in the most polite of ways,I'm not saying it completely ruins everything, but just how people view the mythos. "Hey, you know Slenderman? That creepy tall faceless guy created on SomethingAwful?" "YEAH I KNOW I LOVE THAT GAME!!!"

Your game is amazing and I'm a huge fan. However I agree, on your website put a "based on" section. You don't have to put it in the actual game, just the website.
