Why teleport a few feet inside the same tunnel?
Honestly, at 8:17 / 8:18 I see nothing at all, I do not know if it has turned around or not, is all black, and so at other times. Do not think we can describe clearly in which direction progress at all times.

That's why I stated it happened randomly while he was freaking the fuck out. He teleported to places he was immediately thinking about, which was the tunnel. He got turned around because he was panicking. The random, involuntary teleporting wasn't helping either.

I don't think Troy or Joseph read this forum for suggestions on where to proceed next with their series, if at all. Doesn't seem like how they would, uh, operate.

Also, I think the season 1 commentary says that the actual filming location of the Basement was torn down, but where it is in-story, who knows.

No, he encounters him at the end of 23 (the basement) as well as 40 (Rosswood) and 46 (Alex's house).

Hi, first post and all, so please forgive if I do anything wrong! (I'm not really sure what counts as a spoiler...) ^_^'

That was fantastic stuff! It's nice to see a more horror-related entry, rather than the pure story/exploration entry's we have been having of late (Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy them, but it's nice to have a mix or horror and storytelling) It had some nice revelations with Tim (And a Slendy doll!) and it's nice to see the big guy himself for the first time in a while. Must admit that while it was very atmospheric, I didn't find that revelation as scary as I thought it would be... probably because from the moment I first saw the shaft a few entry's pass I thought "Ah, tightly enclosed dark spooky shaft, the chances of meeting Slendy/Alex/Masky/Jessica/Hoody is very unlikely! *shudder*"

Am I the only one who thinks that Slender Man is a good guy, and somebody just makes him do bad things?

For a while now that's been my theory on Slendy. I believe that he is less of a maniacal, fear-hungry entity of darkness, and more of a trapped soul, being used for evil acts. At some point, possible during filming of Marble Hornets or while be-friending Tim (Who could be a catalyst of sorts for Slendy, especially given all of the recent information) Alex found or lured Slendy to him, and discovered how to control him. Alex is the big bad in my mind, consumed and corrupted by power, although what he plans to do with such power is still a mystery (Perhaps it has something to do with The Ark?)

Another theory I like is that Slendy is nether good or bad, his a trapped spirit, one that simply wants to leave this world by any means necessary (Syphoning the mental energy of people or bloody sacrifices ala Entry #49 could be ways of gathering energy)

Also, what if the "He lies" thing was meant for Tim? What if Hoody was trying to tell Tim that Jay was lying to him back in Entry #58, because he wanted Tim on his side again? Perhaps he expected Tim to find the medical records because there's something in there that would remind him of everything? Just a thought.

When I first saw Entry #58 that was what I assumed. Jay naturally though the luring and messages called to him, but given he was with Tim at the time it's just as likely Hoody was trying to lure Tim there. The writing on the wall could indicate that Jay is lying about something (Perhaps his keeping something from us, doesn't know that his lying about something ala Slendy power, or Hoody is actually referring to the Marble Hornets YouTube videos. Perhaps Tim went back, saw the message that Jay is lying, and that was the reason he looked up MH on the net.)

Up until Entry #59, I was sure Tim was lying or hiding something, but after that encounter with Jay, I'm more inclined do think that his innocent and that Masky is another personality or a form of Slendy possession. As others have said, perhaps there is information in the documents which could awaken Masky from Tim's mind again or remind him of his past, hence why Hoody tried to lure him down there. I do wonder whether Tim might have already been down there... but it doesn't seem to matter much now anyway. With Tim knowing about Jay's investigation on YouTube the chances are his going to see the documents in this entry, and that alone may be enough to awaken Masky or fulfil Hoody's mysterious purpose.

The teleportation happens in the series, but I think it's more like a doors than personal ability. I not see TP here.

The second time the operator appears, he does it in front of Jay. He should appear behind him.

Timeline:
8:11 - Slendy appears. As pravado pointed out, he appears to be climbing the pipes to follow Jay.
8:13 - Jay runs away from the operator.
8:16 - We see Jay pointing the camera towards the wall, gaining more distance between him and te place where he saw Slendy.
8:17 - He points the flashlight to his feet because he's running as fast as possible.
8:18/8:19 - He points the camera to the wall on his right. We can see a little of it due to the flashlight being pointed towards the ground.
8:20 - Slendy appears right in front of him, withouth any (IG) cuts, distortion or anything. Jay stops, gets the shot from him, turns arround and starts running as fast as he can.

There's a visual tear at 8:18. The picture is dark and grainy, so it's hard to see, but it's definitely there. The operator teleports ahead of Jay.

EDIT: Attached the image this time!

I don't think The Operator is a completely good being, as he influences Alex to kill Bruce. However i think he cannot physically harm someone besides messing with their head and must act through "proxies" such as Alex or Tim to get things done.

Also it seems weird that Jay is savvy enough to bring a flashlight and visit during the day, but hasn't picked up on the fact that the past two instances of the doll led to an attack of some kind. I used to be of the assumption that the doll belonged to TiMasky, however due to this entry and looking back when TTA told Jay to go back to the house and "find me" he could have been referring to the doll, and he could have put the doll in the house while Jay was teleporting to tell him which room would stop him teleporting.

Also, the annex building; I think I figured out why Tim didn't want to go there. It was the pediatrics building, where he was when he was a kid. Razz

I'm so glad that I have at least 12 hours before I attempt to sleep.

I think the Operator has this weird tentacle-arm mix. It may just be me but in Entry 14 at around the 20 second mark you see the Operator enter the doorway hand first. His 'hand' looks almost pointed. It's seen like that again in Entry 26 at around 4:22.

I'm starting to get the feeling that the operator is more of a tulpa or thoughtform as to his origins and his motives. I feel like possibly he was created by Tim's thoughts and fears, perhaps the image of the doll was what inspired his appearance.

I had a brief thought that perhaps Tim could be at the center of this all (Thus his big outburst and accusation that Jay is) and that his distaste of certain people give the operator motive to manipulate and drive them insane. But this doesn't explain Masky.

ETA: Reading some theories on how this whole "Follow Me" may have been a trap set by Alex. Considering Alex is usually suspected to be the one who can conjure slendy. A liar thinks; he dies could perhaps mean Alex being smart enough to lay low after his suspected death encouraging people to think he really is dead.

Great entry, but after reading through the thread, I wonder...

is it possible that the DOLL has teleportation powers, and that TTA suspected/knew Op might come down into that tunnel with Jay, and gave him the doll for protection?

The second document is dated 7/9/02... many years...

Other thing... in which entries, apart #23 and this, we see the doll?

I looked up the medicines on the paper listed, Codeine and Amoxicillin, and found something interesting.

Codeine is used to treat coughs, but, from Pubmed:

"Codeine will help relieve symptoms but will not treat the cause of symptoms or speed recovery."

The other pill is an antibiotic, which seems unlikely to be fixing Slender Sickness.

In other words, if Tim is still taking the medication offered here, it isn't doing anything to stop Slender Sickness in Tim, ie. Tim is just as affected as he was before as Masky. That pill bottle that Jay found in Brian's house may at last be relevant.

It never really seemed to me that doctors really would be able to treat what Slendy inflicts upon its victims, and the prescriptions here imply that the pills don't do anything but cover the cough.

Edit: Apparently, codeine causes dependencies in its users. Perhaps the reason Masky!Tim jumped Jay in his first episode was because he found out he had the pills which he believed would fix himself/resolve his desire for pills.

Some people suggested this pretty early on in the thread (myself included) but it must've drowned in the stupid "SLEEP? WHAT IS SLEEP GUISE????" comments.

It's an interesting theory. I don't think Hoody would've left that doll there just to spook Jay. There was probably a reason for it. Teleportation could be that reason.

I have no clue how people think he looks like he's "climbing the pipes" when he first appears, but I definitely see a moving tentacle when the Operator has his head peeking out. If that's supposed to be his arm, it's at a really fucked up angle compared to his body. And for like the two seconds it's on camera, its movement just seems so... fluid, if that makes sense. Almost like TribeTwelve Slender Man.

Maybe it's a trick of the camera. Or my eyes. Someone needs to make a slowed-down gif of that scene.

Guys, do we know how old Tim is? His oldest record is from 17 years ago, and he's at college age, it would appear.

That makes me wonder. Was Tim 4 when this started?

i love how Jay just throws the camera up out of the tunnel.
And there are definitely 2 telepotation/camera skips during the chase scene
And i know some of you are saying "Wheres the info about the docs??? Its been like... 4 dayyyyyyyysssss" "Why doesn't jay just post pic alreaaaaaddddyyyyyy???" Well, maybe Jay is trying to figure out what it all says before he does anything with them. I mean, most of it is probably in "doctor speak" and for all Jay knows, hes posting a pic of a document with incriminating info(like Tim had an embarrassing rash or something) Just sayin, he could have reasons for not posting info on them yet
