Emily Dickinson wrote a poem called the sleeping flowers.... Maybe somehow related?

2nd email

Looks like she is sending emails out again. Mine was also personalized commenting on the fact I had sent my email from an iPhone and how she would love one and how she cried when Steve Jobs died.

Will send back another response with some possible anagrams and see what she says.

Blog update

The blog was also updated today:

Coffee Revelation
July 3, 2012 by imzea

I've been allowing myself only one cup, because I put a lot of cream and sugar in it. It's softer and gentler that way. I always think of Sylvia Plath's "coffee revelation" when I drink.

Today I had a coffee revelation:

I know I've seen that flag before.

The one I found in the trunk.

I have to wrap my brain around this one.

Meanwhile, it's a beautiful day. I think I will go for a walk in the woods. Nobody is around today.

Could PBS stand for Percy Bysshe Shelley, another poet?

Found an interesting page where both Wordsworth and Shelley are mentioned and compared.

Prob not IG but googled Dear Love, I am that girl....from her blog and found
Http://hesitantlight.tumblr.com/

The opening line is: ask me anything
I left behind a trail in case you ever want details on how I pulled myself apart and got away
Actually, Anne Sexton was a poet whose poem, The Black Art, ends in Dear love I am that girl....disregard above site

Going on the PBS standing for Percy Bysshe Shelley, I recalled that he had a poem, Ozymandias, which could be a cipher for TERTITHSEN as it has the same number of letters, but it's not a Caesar cipher as far as I know. The poem is as such:
Quote:
I met a traveller from an antique land
Who said: Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desart. Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed:
And on the pedestal these words appear:
"My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!"
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away

I tried to see if it had anything to do with the flag or the trunk she was talking about, but nothing. Horace Smith also wrote a similar sonnet of the same name, and it referenced a hunter. I may be getting ahead of myself. One thing I do know is that both Dickinson and Wordsworth were huge nature poets, and our friend Zea seems to be very fond of the nature around the house. There are probably more clues in their poetry but I cannot think of any at the moment.

I like the idea of PBS standing for Percy Bysshe Shelley. I mean she mentions romance a lot and it says on that link Emato posted that him and William were some of the greatest romance poets of their time.

I think that's a strong lead.

I however did not get an email, though I haven't Emailed Z back. I suppose I could do that.

Edit: So I sent Zea an email, kind of pointless and casual. (I really enjoy talking to her though) Here is what I said.

Quote:
Hey there Zea
I'm part of the small group you've been talking to lately, sorry its taken me a little while to message you. I know you've been swapping messages with them.

I was thinking, in your book where it said PBS is the answer. do you think maybe PBS stands for Percy Bysshe Shelley. He was another great romantic poet (I am glad you are enjoying the poetry. I am a big fan of poetry myself, poetry and photography. If you ever get the chance, check out the photographer E. J. Bellocq. I think his photo's are some of the most beautiful I have ever seen.)

Anyway I was wondering if you can find any poems by Percy Bysshe Shelley in your book and if so do any of them stand out to you or is there anything written on the page if its there. Strange questions I know. Hope you dont mind me asking them.

Looking forward to talking more
-Zella

and in return I got

Quote:
Hi Zella!

Thank you so much for writing to me! Funny that you should mention E.J. Bellocq. My father was a huge fan. He loved nudes and always believed that the female body was a work of art. Personally, I find Bellocq's work disturbing. Haunting. Not necessarily a bad thing, but his photographs make me uncomfortable.

Checking for Shelley poems is a great idea! I will do this and let you know what I find.

Did you that Shelley was a great procrastinator? He's famous for it! Not really relevant to our mystery, but a fact I find interesting.

Your Friend,
Z

Edit02: I think Shelley is out PBS honestly. I'm going to do some reading about him.

Edit03: Reading about Shelley It didn't really mention anything about him being a Procrastinator... he seemed a real impulsive man of action. That could be a clue or something? Maybe?... maybe I am just reaching. Anyway I sent 'Z' another email, asking about her kids. awaiting a reply.

Edit04: Got another reply. I said.

Quote:
Dear Z

No problem, to be honest I was thrilled with your reply, you seem like a really easy person to talk to. It is true that E.J's work is haunting, but beautiful as well. Such pretty woman but so dark when you realise they were whores who lived terrible lives. I can understand how it would make you feel uncomfortable.

I did not know Shelley was a procrastinator, From what I have read he was a passionate man of action and quite the romantic. but i can see it. I think he was most defiantly one to get caught up in thought. On your blog, you mentioned kids yes? you have kids? Two was it, if not how many, how old are they. I do not have any kids myself but I cant wait to someday (I love children) I have three younger brothers and two of them are quite young, seven and three. They are quite a handful haha.

Cant wait to hear back from you
-Zella

she replied

Quote:
Dear Zella,

I just realized that we both have Z names!

Yes, I have two children, a boy who is seven and a girl who is four. They are with their father right now but I hope to be back with them again soon. I miss them terribly.

You are right about Shelley! It was Coleridge who was the procrastinator. I get all of those poets mixed up sometimes.

Today I found a box with a funny kind of combination lock on it. I will write about it on the blog tomorrow.

-Z

So she said her kids are with their father. But she also said something along the lines of them being with K if I remember correctly. Is K their father?

Also (Warning, Crazy Zella rank here) I am getting a weird cultish feeling from this all haha. With the letters being used, she really likes abreviating things. Not to mention she seems to be, being told what to and what not to do. Its why I mentioned E.J Belloqu to her... I wanted to see if she found the photo's 'lewd' and I think she did (though im glad i didnt offend her) I dunno, just a weird vibe I get. You know in these investigations I'm miss 'weird feeling'

Also I was right about Shelley, she meant Coleridge?
looked up
got a mister Samuel Taylor Coleridge. A friend of Williams who helped found the 'romantic' movement. Not nearly as popular as Wordsworth or Shelley and much more mentally unstable. But hey, least we have a new poet. Going to go through his poems, see what I find.

Its quite the poem.
Did you get anything from it Seadevil?

Glittering, some mention of doors stood out to me. Nothing I would call a 'clue ' though.

Did anyone notice the mystery of PBS's heart? How it was apparently "stolen from his ashes" or something.

Anyways, Zea posted a picture of the lock on her blog. It's a four letter combination, and the name on the box was "Shelley". Topics of his poetry are often "love" and "life", but that seems a little cliche. I think we're supposed to do more digging here.

Considering "Ozymandias" is a poem of kings, perhaps KING? It's definitely hidden in one of his works I believe.

EDIT: How freaky would it be if in the box was Shelley's heart?

EDIT 2: I forgot to mention, she has a picture of a confederate flag on the blog. Maybe we should look into some Confederate poets?

I suggested Mary for the lock being his second wife and author of Frankenstein.

I suggested Mary too haha.
Love and King is good as well
Yeah I did read about his heart. I also read that there is a Shelley mansion. Do you think maybe thats where Zea is. I mean to have found a box that is for or belongs to Shelley (I assume) in a house that has a lot of rooms and is really big? could be the case yeah?

Nothing came to my mind about the flag sadly. It seemed to be the odd thing out for me.

PBS - P.B. Shelley

Looks like there is a definitive connection inside Shelley's works with regard to the flag:

Quote:
The flag of Freedom over Chaos, .... To speak in thunder to the rebel world.

The sleeping flowers maybe a point at (more Shelley):

http://www.artofeurope.com/shelley/she7.htm

I haven't read the Rime of the Ancient Mariner in years, it is bloody long and in this particularly case probably a trout.

It all seems to be smoke and mirrors at the moment...
