Ok, so we know this came to us be by Reggie's dream. But how did this website survive the timeline change? And does he know it is there? Someone (one who knows him) send him an email and tell him. Or bring it up in chat.

It seems Jake started the website after the timeline change, so it is possible John Baxter wrote it up after having his vivid nightmare. In this timeline John was Jake's college Roomie, so I guess they are a bit closer in this line.

Reggie=Caretaker.
I'm almost certain. Smile
Why:
He has access to inanimatereason.
He knows where to upload things.
He invented the "Boy Scout" name.
Style.
He is already multiple personalities.
Why not:
Jake knows John Baxter.
Jake knows Caretaker.
Nah, nothing is perfect Smile

Maybe the site was used when they were together and both know it and have access to it. Reggie might have written it as a result of the dream maybe?
He mentions the backdoor is still there... is it still there, or does this thing come from the other timeline?

Eh, I don't think so... all of Reggie's other personalities still knew how to crack codes and look for patterns in the code. Caretaker knows a few things about programs (probably about the same amount I do which isn't much) but Caretaker is not the wiz kid Reggie is.

 		It would explain somethings.
The fact that he is the same person would explain how Reggie's subconcious is aware of what is on Jakes page. But, what is not explained is how Reggies concious is on course with the second timeline.

Possibilites:

1. Reggie is an older version of Jake with multipersonality disorder from all the time shifting that Jake has occured.

2. Reggie is some kind of "Quantum Leap" character capable of inhabiting others bodies at only a subconcious level. His mission is to try to keep timelines in order, but got lost somewhere along the way. (Maybe the doctor is a Quality Assurance saftey net in the system)

3. Jake knew he would need Reggie's help so he went back in timeline 2 future he went back in time and put these subconcious ideas into Reggies head so he may be able to understand/believe what Jake needs.

4. And an infinate number of other possibilities.

Other theories:

5. Time has a self-correcting mechanism. Jake did say that his information was that the timeline could not shift as far off as it had. Maybe there is a self correcting mechanism when it gets too far out of kilter. Note that Reggie/John still knows Jake, and that we acted to bring Jake and Caretaker together. Jake was still missing for the 8/9 months, only in a different manner, and NRU while Missing is in the process of being built on the exact same site.

We may not need to "find" Becker, he may find us. Which brings us back to: Do we need to go back and correct the time flow or do we go from here and carry forward?

Onyx, I've had this same theory for a while. It would also explain Reggie's headaches; if he had a multiple personality, maybe he's experiencing a bad headache just before blacking out and becoming Caretaker.

We have never seen a conversation between Reggie and either Jake or Caretaker. The only time we had something close was when Reggie was at Caretaker's house, using Caretaker's ID to converse. In the last timeline, Jake had never met Reggie face to face. They had only played chess via Yahoo. In this timeline, Jake has never spoken to us about Reggie.

I think it is well within the realm of possibility!

Of course, I've never even been in the same universe as PastaBagel, if that's what They call him/her. And who are They?

You notice how both have headaches now and Jake can't remember much of the past two days. Maybe you guy are on to something with the Reggie=Caretaker=Jake stuff. It would explain why he can't remember the last two days and why he has headaches and the fact that they -- just so happen to go to the same doctor. AND it explains the doctors name Rodsild -- meaning= Red herring = which also means to chase something unimportant. This means chasing the doctor is irrelevant, but chasing the fact they went to the same one DOES mean something.

Here is another thought. If one suffers from multiple personalities in one reality, he may carry over to another. Meaning there may be more blogs out there from the same person.

Jake was puking out his guts when we were chatting with caretaker I think it is just a case of Bottle flu that is the reason Jake can't remember the last two days. The lush.

 		Another thing that would cause 2 days worth of headaches and blackouts would be going on a 2 day long drunk. When last we saw Our Hero, he was doing the technicolor yawn after partying with Caretaker.
