Sims Online Anarchy

Not having played Sims Online, this article sort of makes me glad I haven't. Very interesting to me to see how the Sims Online has regressed into a community of extortion and prostitution.

Anybody here playing this? Is this article accurate, or is it sensationalizing a few isolated cases?

In my experience, the only thing EA is consistent with is their sports games. Not that I play sports games, but when I ran a store 90% of the people coming in looking for a sports game asked for the EA ones. And then there's those Sims expansion packs. I swear, every time they come out with a new one people flock in the stores and buy them. The most important thing I've learned... it's not the good games that always sell. Sales numbers mean nothing when it comes to the quality of a game.'

I remember the naughty granny from the beta. She/he/it was a freak. It took about 2 hours of mindlessly clicking in order to level up to make me realize how unfun MMORPGs could be.
