Acting looks kind of robotic and the plot doesn't seem all that great, but I love how that Slendy looks. I thought a general consensus in the community was that Slenderman needed some new defining characteristics to keep him interesting. Not only are the claws original, but they look damn good.

I really don't care for their use of the Operator symbol, but I think it'd still be worth a watch, if not for the "so bad it's good" factor.

Okay correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't East Bay only really do B-movies that are direct to video? I could have sworn I've seen these guys do some mockbuster-type rip offs of other franchises.

Not considering this a real first-run production, gonna guess we'll see it on late night cable or something.

The day Sy-Fy shows the Slenderman is the day I commit mass genocide.

Yeah, and Thursday Night Films LLC. doesn't seem to exist at all.

I don't see what the problem is with this. What, are people pissed because an urban legend is being used as the basis for a movie? I guess I'd understand because that's never happened before.

Or, is it that someone is making a commercial film about Slenderman? I mean I guess I could understand why people would be pissed about someone trying to make money off the concept.

I just don't get it, this is guaranteed to be better shot than nearly every Slendervlog out there, the entire story will be available for consumption, immediately upon release. And, given the limited length of a film, we won't get 15 minute videos of someone pointing a flipcam straight ahead while they walk down the street/boardwalk/drive aimlessly through rural NJ talking about what they have seen. This should also avoid the need to put text on screen -- god I love watching a video where I need to read something to understand it.

The Entity has short arms, has claws, and is a ghost. That doesn't even sound close, except for no face and the suit.

What truly pulled me into the mythos was watching Marble Hornets, and seeing this man-like figure that as time went on just started failing to look human. It's a being that is trying to look human, but is failing so hard. That's what really got me.

So adding claws to Slendy takes away from why I am drawn to him. He is no longer trying to look harmless or human at first, he is trying to look threatening right off the bat. Nothing subtle.

Nothing in this trailer sparked my interest unfortunately, but there are other films coming out too that I'm slightly more interested in.

Guys. It's an indie film. No one pays attention to indie films. You guys are BAAAAWing over nothing.

I really hope these films like Hylo, Entity and the others are going to be decent, but judging from the cheesy trailers that don't scare me much at all, it's hard for me to maintain that hope.

Pretty much exactly. It's not the movie itself that's so troubling to me, it's more the tendency it indicates. It, and its fellows, seem willing to abandon certain fundamental aspects of the character, and as the mythos grows, I would rather not see Slenderman lose that which makes him unique.

Whatever. We'll have to wait and see what the movie's like. Maybe if we're lucky, the filmmaker will start having memory problems...

Maybe I'm just a sucker, but I'm actually looking forward to this. The Slender Man (red tie ftw!) looks more Surgian, so that's pretty cool. There is every possibility it could completely suck of course, and I am a little pissed off about the use of the Operator Symbol. I just hope they got permission from the Marble Hornets guys, and that they actually give it a purpose.

I think that if any movie was to be made about Our Mutual Friend, Guillermo del Toro would be the man to do it right.

Maybe it's cliché, but hey- marble hornets is pretty cliché- or is it? is it not cliché because it's a trend-setter?
this is slenderman's first big-screen appearance- not many people are really familiar with slenderman. We can't set our standards so high.

i'm not going to judge this movie as a lengthy slenderman vlog, but as a horror movie starring slenderman, and i would advise you to do the same

i hope it's good, and that slendy looks pretty awesome...

Dude how is MH clichè they were the ones who started the whole Slendy ARG thing

I actually liked some of the shots in the trailer. For an indie film, the cinematography isn't half bad.

However, I'm sure the storyline will be cliche, the acting seems pretty average to sub-par, and the fact that they're even using the operator symbol is a bit hackneyed and a desperate attempt to cling to the established genre.

Also, the thing that bothers me more than slendy's claws is his red tie.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I don't like when Slendy wears a red tie.
