the film was not cancelled, they cancelled the kickstarter shortly after their update saying that some doors were opened whilst others were closed.

The only one that should have been open was the grimy, dark, unchained basement door that this godawful movie crawled out from.

Now that's something we both agree on. I still watch this trailer sometimes to remind me what not to do if I ever decide to incorporate slenderman into my "series"

I'm kind of confused at what's going on with this thing, but from the trailer & the first video, I'm overall positive about...whatever this is. Have you guys ever heard the phrase "Trailers Always Lie"? It's not uncommon for trailers to have stuff that isn't even in the movie. But maybe that's not the case here, & what you see is what you get. I don't know. That's kind of what I'm getting at.

But a trailer is there to promote a film and reel in potential viewers, this makes me want to smash my camera and every other camera in existence.

And it made me think, "I'm 50/50 on this, depends on where they end up going."

Lest we forget the IndieGogo pitch video. Now compare to the MH S3 pitch video on Kickstarter. Neither were made particularly well but the Faceless one made me so certain I didn't want to invest my time never mind my money in them. They seem like a bunch of clueless media students wanting to hitch a ride on a dying horse.

I think the MH Kickstarter video was intentionally made to look low tech and amateurish, though. Adds to the charm, if not the humor, they attempt to convey. After such well-edited entries as Entry #64 and Entry#83, there's no way anyone could think that Troy et al. don't know how to make at least a decent video.

You're probably right. They kept it short and simple, but it was clear they cared about their pet-project, but this.
