Its probably nothing, but the pale yellow background can be split into repeating squares over which the red and black have been drawn.

Can't see what this means, but...

Hmm, and if you split the picture up, you get a 6x6 grid, with the centre vertical line right down the middle following the pattern.

Another straw anyone ?

I'm sure the colours and textures are relevant, but if it helps (it's not doing me much good...), this is the orb picture without any background colours or textures.

Angels/Spec

I have noticed that Reggie's puzzles often relate to angels in some way (the crossword with Rev. and the dream drawing with Enoch) There are angels that relate to the zodiac figures according to the site found by
"Guest "and posted in the thread about the dream drawings. As you have to scroll down a bit to find it, I put the chart below.
The link is
here:http://www.steliart.com/angelology_angels_demons_chart.html

Zodiac Ruling Angel
Aries Aeil
Taurus Tual
Gemini Giel
Cancer Cael
Leo Ol
Virgo Violl
Libra Jael
Scorpio Sosol
Sagittarius Swaiaseh
Capricorn Casuiasah
Aquarius Ausim
Pisces Pasel

I don't know if this helps, but the zodiac figures are (as Jake mentioned in his chat clue) "hiding in plain site"

IMHO the formal structure of the code, 4 indentical alphabetical lines, with one being reversed, combined with the formal placement of the zodiac figures corresponding with the 12 simple letters of the Hebrew alphabet leads me away from the "solve" being the Hebrew letters.

The only variety in the pattern is the size of the figures. What does this mean? Got me.

Another idea, which contradicts the one I just expressed, is that the whole picture is a maze. Katya and others besides me have had this idea. The zodiac figures would be the "blocks" and the letters traced by the line solving the maze are the next step in the "solve>"

I haven't been able to progress past these ideas, though I have tried the maze.

Another random idea - if you shrink the picture down smaller enough, the colours make the whole thing look like a globe. Could the centre of the picture be pointing to a location?

follow up

The above post was me of course.

I want to correct something I said:

The variables about the zodiac figures are 1) the size and 2) the position on the grid, ie which of the three circles they cover. As noted, the row of letters they cover is dictated by the arrangement of the figures corrensponding with specific Hebrew letters.

One more thing, this picture has been checked for stegging? Right?
I still haven't been able to download the software I need to run it myself.
But I am working on it.

AnthraX101 and Scrivener (I think) both took a look at it with steg programs and I think Addlepated opened it in a hex viewer. So far, nothing.

This isn't the first puzzle with shomething hiding in sight, "The Journey" used a white jpg with information hidden in hex format.

It could be that hiding in plain sight may mean that all we were meant to find was the back door, with no id/passwords at this time. The rest was "red herring"?

I found the orb! I don't know if it will help in solving the puzzle. I'm putting it in a spoiler just in case....

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It is a "Hebrew Lunar Calendar with a Serpentine Leviathan center"

found at this link

It help in telling where NOT to look for clues Smile

Anyone think that Jake's red filter was giving us a hint?

I'm glad you found that Enaxor. It helps alot.

Is anyone else having a problem with the Orb page? Only a small section of the top half of the picture is loading for me.

Other than the fact that the background looks like a rorschach (and spelled wrong)? Could be a hint.

I have attempted various id/pw
red/black (Mayan writing favored these colors)
hebrew/temple (temple on the Mount)
religion/temple
and a few others of similar type, but get kickout Mayan Philosophy and Numerology sites.

-edit-
based on the site Enaxor found (spoilered above) I tried solar/lunar and got a another numerology kickout site (involving J.S. Back as an example Rolling Eyes )

I took out the color information and increased contrast to make the background image easier to see. There are some dots in there, as well as a definite swirl on the bottom, starting on Aquarius and going southeast.

Who knows if it means anything!
