The Spiral

I found out about this yesterday: http://www.thespiral.eu/

I guess it's not an ARG in a "This Is Not A Game" sense, but anyway it sounds interesting and I think I'm going to join in.

Re: The Spiral

Anyone here playing this?

I checked it out over the past couple of days.

Seems like you can track paintings on a map by trying locations with energy points you get for all sorts of challenges.

Some of those challenges also mention hidden codes online, usb sticks through Europe, codes at the sites the paintings used to be etc.

Seems like it runs down to closely tracking the paintings as more zooming levels become available over time, and eventually finding the paintings?

I'm considering signing up for this... The first episode of the accompanying tv series aired yesterday, I believe. But I'm not sure if I have the time to do all the assignments :p Real life has some serious claims on my time this year... Anyone playing/participating?

I'm in... at least kind of. I've done some challenges to earn credits. At first I just clicked the map trying to figure out what was going on... and then realized that my points were reduced. I don't know if I have time to watch the show and all, but it would be nice to try to find some clues offline also.

I just caught the first episode of this, and quickly perused the website. It looks very cool; some pretty neat linkages between our real world and the events portrayed on the TV screen, lots of ways to participate, and clearly some serious thought and effort put into creating some games / art in which people can participate in all sorts of ways.

I think I'm a fan of this one.
