Yeah, it's for an independent horror movie called "Antiviral", directed by David Cronenberg's son, Brandon Cronenberg. It hasn't gotten a US release yet, but it'll be more than likely either a VERY limited theatrical release or Straight To DVD. And, trust me, it deserves the latter. I saw it a while back at a film festival, and I STRONGLY suggest you avoid the trailer that just came out for it. The movie was so damn gross towards the end of it that I ended up covering my eyes towards the end so that I wouldn't start babbling obscenities at the screen out of rage, confusion and disgust. And horror films of that ilk usually don't get me like that. THAT'S HOW OFFENDED I WAS. Not just because it was beyond morbidly gross, but also due to the plot making no damn sense and was partially a bad rip-off of both Repo The Genetic Opera (to an extent) and crappy gorefests like Cabin Fever (especially in regards to how over-the-top the gross-out stuff is and the asenine as hell decisions the main character makes at certain points).

I'm sure to you guys it MIGHT sound like a good movie, but compared to his famous dad, Brandon Cronenberg, in my opinion, is just trying to take Davdi's old gross-out techniques and go completely insane with them. At least David C.'s horror films had a proper plot to got with his gross-out stuff. THIS? This is, to me at least, the kind of movie that makes "A Serbian Film" look like "Marry Poppins" in comparison. And considering how vile THAT movie is (I've never seen it, but I've heard of it in detail via internet critics like Phelous and Oancitizen; two words: newborn rape. 'NUFF SAID), that's SAYING SOMETHING. Bottom line, don't let the last name fool you. Avoid watch it, along with the trailer and anything related to it. And in regards to Brandon Cronenberg and all who worked on this piece of shit, I have only this to say about them:

Thanks for this. I'm all for a good gore rest..but if it's crossing the line, then no way I want anything to do with it. Ugh, kids these days. I'm not easily offended...but from the sounds of this..it seems I would be.

I've been exposed to worse IRL so I braved the trailer and it's not that bad (gore-wise). If you're not up to it I'll give you the "kiddy" version.

There is this guy who wants to be like one of his favorite celebs and goes to this clinic, pays them a whole bunch of money, in order to be more like her by receiving all of the diseases she has ever had.

By the end he has become so obsessed with this celeb that he tracks her down and pulls a "'Silence of the Lambs' guy who wears other peoples skin" on the lady.

And that's pretty much it. At least that is all I can gather from the trailer.

Btw, to the poster who said "don't watch this"... that's serious "code word" to watch it. That's like saying "don't go to this website and search the source code"... geesh. Wink
