Mine was the same. The people with orders are getting attention first.

Here is my email and response...

And..of course...I sent an email back asking about the production problems
Hello again Jennifer!

I hope you had a fantastic weekend. I certainly did, but unfortunately coming into work today did not go quite as planned.

Something is going on with production, so unfortunately my attention may be there for a bit.

I just wanted to say thank you for answering my colleagues questions. They can be a little...curious...for lack of a better word.

You mentioned possibly referring us to a Union rep. Could you please do so? We are all more than a little interested in learning more about the Union and the different planets. Would your rep also enlighten us on the troubles you have had with earth?

Again, thank you for your patience in answering our questions!

As a note for those of you that haven't received anything from sales yet, my spam filter picked this up for some reason, so you might want to check your spam folders as well.

edit: Derp, I noticed that someone had already posted the same email after I'd posted this. Sorry for the redundant text.

my turn to report back. I only just emailed, visibly upset at the tampering of my order... =P

"To whom it may concern,
I received a shipment in the mail last week from Koatoa Marine for 18 cans of Razorkan. Now, I don't recall placing this order, but perhaps someone placed it for me. Nonetheless, the package arrived with 9 empty cans, and 9 cans missing! Is this how KM executes their business? With attempted half-fulfilled orders, even with no product at all?
I've contacted others who've also reported similar shipments, so it seems that I am not alone. I believe this is an issue your company must examine and evaluate, and deal with swiftly.
Thank you"

Hello!

Unfortunately, you are not the first person this has happened to. I'm currently looking into the situation, and I'm extremely sorry for the inconvenience!

I must add that this in no way represents how we do business. Customer service is extremely important to us and we will do everything in our power to rectify the situation.

It shouldn't be long before I have some more information for you, as I've been asked to join in on a meeting with the production department. That should give me some answers, which I will of course relay to you immediately.

So, awaiting followup answers...

ETA: I realize I said 18 and 9 cans instead of 16 and 8. Razz

Good morning Amandel,

Things here have been interesting today. Last week we had a few customers receive a shipment that had some, well, errors to say the least. To add to that, they didn't even make an order!

I thought it was a contained error but today I got another message about the same error.

I went to go ask around the production office to find out what could have happened, and now things have just gotten worse. It looks like we've stopped production for the indefinite future. The message was sent directly to the production office, and asked them to spread the word. No one knows why yet, but clearly this directive is coming straight from Mr. Hale.

I'm messaging you first because I wanted to talk more about your pictures. I've never been to Earth as you know, but it looks like what I expected I guess. I know I've been saying that I wanted to stay out of politics in my recent emails to people who have been asking, but I still think Earth is worth saving. I think Mr. Hale does too, and while I'm not sure of anything right now, if he's making a statement, I'm standing behind him.

Followup from Richie:
Quote:
I'm afraid my news for you isn't good, and won't help your view of our company. Once again, I'd like to assure you that our company values our customers.

At the meeting, it was announced that our production will end for the indefinite future, effective immediately. I'm afraid that your shipment, despite the fact that you never placed an order, will not be able to be fulfilled.

This directive comes from Akamu Hale, the CEO of Koatoa Marine, and I'm sure he has a valid reason for this. We will be meeting with him on Wednesday to learn more.

For now, I am obligated to tell you what I know:

Our production department uses an automated system to package our goods. Did your shipment also contain a book? Your shipment, as well as the others that received a book in their Koatoa package, was never in our system. It looks like someone sent it to you for a reason, although right now I'm not sure what that reason is.

Please, accept my apologies. You shouldn't be involved with this, but I do feel that it is the right thing to keep you informed of what is going on.

- Richard Kai

The responses coming back look to be custom-written, containing variations of the same information and news. So, by this one, seems Wednesday will be our next beat?

Looks like that was a mass email. I guess I won't be receiving my seafood catalog.

we also need to try to find out who it was that sent the orders out.

To angela mac
Angela,

Last week, we had a few customers receive a shipment by error. They never placed an order, and when their shipments arrived, half of the order was replaced with a book. On top of that, the actual razorkan cans were empty of our products. I chalked that up to a simple machine error, but the book means someone purposefully placed it there. Was whoever sending it trying to send a message?

I had no idea, but today, finding out that Mr. Hale wants to end production, I just don't know. It can't all be a coincidence, and it must mean something. On Wednesday, Mr. Hale will be meeting with us, and I'm assuming it will be to tell us why.

I don't mind being rather personal in our conversation due to all of this. I never wanted to get political issues involved in our business but perhaps Mr. Hale's values are stronger than I thought. And honestly, that has led to a split amongst the employees here, if that is the case. Amelie, the sales lead, left work early today when the idea that this could be a political statement was brought up. Some are staying simply because of that fact.

At this point, that's what I know. I hope that helps you understand what is going on, I wish I could tell you more, but I just don't know for sure.

- Richard Kai

Today, word was handed down that

and it ends there .....
