I think this was meant to be ambiguous and make us say "Floating piles of what? I bet it's gross." Razz Same for what they're floating in. I kind of assume the ocean but it could also be in orbit or something?

I've also been sending e-mails to Richard about how the company will sustain itself for a such a long time without doing any business and just got a pretty generic answer of using Mr. Hale's money to support the company. Hopefully tomorrow's more exciting!

 		I asked Richard about his parents and got this reply:

My mother was a year older than my father, and they knew each other their whole lives. Both of them were born in a Los Angeles District refugee center for displaced persons. I don't know the whole story, but my grandmother (my mother's mother) was born on an island called Hawai'i, and was evacuated by the time she was six or seven. I believe she met my grandfather there, and my father's parents were also living in this refugee center.

Anyway, that's where my parents were born, and that's where they met. They became best friends immediately, they were ten years old when they met, I believe.

When my father turned eighteen, he was recruited by the UN to be a peacekeeper, and through that finally got off-world, but had to leave my mother behind. They tried to keep in touch, but interstellar travel and communications were still in their infancy. They lost contact with each other for ten years.

In 2215, Oceanus was colonized, and with the refugee camps getting more crowded, the UN sent most of the displaced, my mother included, to the new world. As you might guess, the UN sent a peacekeeping force to Oceanus to make sure the colonization went smoothly, and somehow...through fate, if you want to believe in it...they crossed paths, instantly recognizing each other. Ten years later, my father's time in the UN served, he moved to Oceanus permanently, married my mother, and I was born.

They both passed away a few years ago, but if that story doesn't make me believe in something, I don't know what will!

We do have a local physical retail location on the island of New Oahu (which is now closed due to our production stoppage), but if you are asking about the former island of Oahu that was part of what was the Hawaiian islands, then of course, the answer is no.

 		I sent an email to Richard this morning, below is my message and his reply.

I wanted to see if maybe you would like to explain your actions and if you are in some kind of trouble and need help maybe I can be of assistance. I am from Earth and I have a feeling that people from Earth are the only ones you can trust.

 		Recently, i contacted Richard Kai about his boss and how well he knows him, tihs is the mail I sent him.

I also sent an email concerning Hale and to see if he has been acting odd. This was what I got in response.

Regarding the company, we are in the business of seafood. The books that were found in those shipments, Mr. Hale was responsible for those. To make a statement, I thought, but now realize it was to send a message to the people of Earth.

I am far away from where you call home. Yes, only a few days travel, but in another sense, we are not close at all.

I don't believe I am out of a job, at least for now. I've been assured by Mr. Hale that my services are still needed, just to serve a different purpose.

Now, I am an old man, and have had many years to contemplate my mother's words. So much of war is a mistake that has been repeated far too many times. The number of innocent human lives lost over greed, land, or simple disagreements is countless.

However, in some cases, it's not a tangible object that mankind fights for. It is an idea, or it is a value…or it is freedom. And now, this time, to all of you born of Earth, and to all of mankind that believes in Earth, the mistake would be to not fight.

And it is for that reason I ordered a cease to operations at Koatoa Marine. We will be back when the time is right, but I refuse to utilize the technology or resources of Horizon in a way that deepens their pockets. This company is my platform to make a statement, to prove to the entire Union that I'm willing to put it on the line to fight for what I believe in.

My recent trip to Centauri ended with mixed results though, as I expected. There are leaders who believe in this fight, but the sad truth is that most are afraid to make change happen, and would rather standby wishing it would happen. There was one, however, that was willing to provide information regarding Horizon that could give us a place to start. He's promised to deliver that to me on the condition of anonymity. Do I have your word that we keep him safe?

Finally, I believe mentioning the name of this group over interstellar communications is not in our best interests, so I will refrain from using it. But it has been sixteen years since the revolution failed. The group who spearheaded that effort; I believe they can play a role in what is to come. I do not know how many are left, but I will do whatever I can to contact them.
