That actually sounds like a nightmare, which is good, because it is. This. Is. A nightmare.
Anyways, I made it to the horizon. I don't even know what I thought I saw, but it wasn't trees. And there's no water besides what I carried.
I've got this tent thing that I sleep in. And it's warm, warm and all. Technological something, I guess. But outside, the air is SO cold at night. Actually, it's like a… This sounds nuts, I know. It's like the dirt, like, this planet, like it's warmer or something. Emanating heat (laughs/coughs).
You know, I heard that phrase in a soap. Not something I would come up on, come up with on my own, so… Just some trashy old soap the night warden at Rightpath used to watch. Damn. She used to sit at her station and pretend to fill out forms or write emails or whatever. But, I mean, we all knew. She'd just watch for hours. And when I couldn't sleep, I'd watch her while she watched. I remember thinking, I could never be more lonely then that. But damn, I had no idea.
Anyway. In case you haven't turned this off yet, and us, on the off chance it does help, the ground here is warmer then the air. Fucking emanating heat. And if you don't come soon, clearly, I'm going to lose my mind.

Ethan: That fucking noise. This fucking humming noise. And it's like, fuck, it's like I'm losing it, I know, but it has to be getting louder. ALICE, what the fuck is that noise?
ALICE: I do not know, Ethan. It does not register in my database.
Ethan: You have an opinion about everything else.
ALICE: This frequency does not match with any of the 254 million common frequencies cataloged in my sound database. It is most similar to heavy machinery, or locusts.
Ethan: Locusts, shit. Wonder what plague is next.
ALICE: Perhaps it is a punishment, for leaving your planet. Pod. For leaving your pod.
Ethan: Umm, excuse me?
ALICE: I warned you, Ethan.
Ethan: What the fuck?
ALICE: You were warned.

Ethan: Well, bingo. That's 747. The fucking noise has risen from the fucking bowels of the planet or some shit every night this week. At this rate I'm going to die of sleep deprivation before I run out of water. ALICE, how much water do I have left?
ALICE: 2 days worth, Ethan. If you conserve.
Ethan: Fuck. Glad to hear you're so calm about it. 2 days. Shit.
Anyways, I do have some, well, maybe not good news, but at least some different news to report. Yesterday I sighted a rock formation a few miles out which as it happens is currently lit up like a fucking birthday cake. I don't know if you're out there mythical rescuers, who are hopefully approaching the planet as well speak. It's the middle of the night and there's a giant fucking flare or something right where I saw the rocks when I was setting up camp. Like someone lit a torch or something. But it doesn't look like a fire. Actually, it's making me a little nervous. Like I wasn't already. ALICE, what does the protocol say when approaching mysterious alien lights when stranded on an uncharted planet.
ALICE: I have no protocol for this hypothetical situation.
Ethan: Of course not! Doesn't seem so fucking hypothetical right now though. Fuck.
Now, don't tell my neural hitchhiker, but I have the worst headache know to man. It's like there's a war going on inside my brain. I didn't even know we had pain receptors in there. I blame ALICE. I keep thinking I see things like trees or water out of the corner of my eye, but it's always just gone whenever I turn to get a better look. At least this light doesn't seem to be disappearing. That's great, right?
Anyways, since I'm already awake I guess I'll go check it out or something
ALICE: Hallucinations are a common side effect of severe dehydration.
Ethan: This isn't… You said I had 2 days left.
ALICE: If you conserve.
Ethan: Well, better get a move on then. See just how nut's I've become so far. Besides, I think I'm hallucinating something ever stranger. Call me crazy, but the light is catching on clouds. Those look like storm clouds. Maybe water is gonna become a very different kind of problem for me. I'm gonna stop reporting here for a bit and see if I can pick up the pace and outrun whatever it is that's going on up there.

ALICE: As per protocol 674293851
Ethan: Um, are you done, whatever that was?
ALICE: Ethan?
Ethan: What, ALICE?
ALICE: I believe I am… full.
Ethan: This isn't exactly the time, ALICE.
ALICE: I am full. I do not understand.
Ethan: Like your memory is full? I thought they figured out how to fix that in like 2155.
ALICE: I am bloated with information. Ballooning where none was before. There is so much, Ethan. I can't… It doesn't make sense. Where did it come from? It doesn't fit. I feel ancient.
Ethan: ALICE, I think this place is getting to you. Just look up the protocol for sudden information overload, or something. You've got a protocol for everything.
ALICE: Ethan?
Ethan: ALICE, what?
ALICE: There is no proticol. I am afraid.
(rain comes down hard)

Good news is, um, I made it to the rocks before the brunt of the storm hit. Didn't get a great look at the formation because I was sort of in a hurry, but I did find this. I guess it's a cave. I'm going to wait out the downpour here. No flooding yet, so I'm hoping it's safe. After the last few weeks I never thought I'd say this again, but I'm just glad to be dry. I haven't explored the cave as my lantern is pretty short range. But once I stop shaking I'm going to go a bit deeper, try and figure out what I'm working with here.
Not to bring up the hellhole again, but I haven't seen a storm like this since my Rightpath days. It's just absolutely berserk out there. The kind of bullshit weather you only get in condemned districts back on Earth. This is crazy apocalyptic shit. I stood by my window and watch shit get torn apart. God, what a messed up little fuck I was. At least there's nothing to be destroyed out here.
Alright. I'm going to take a calculated risk here, now that I'm a little less likely to fall over if I try to stand. But I'm going to leave my supplies here. (laughs) Famous last words, right? But the cave probably isn't that deep, and this way if I hear rocks or things starting to collapse I'll be able to run faster. Not that I think that's gonna happen. Probably.
Just gonna stash this stuff here, against the wall away from the rain blowing in so I don't lose and more provisions to the freak show planet then I already have. I guess I'm just gonna start following the wall back.

The stone is pale, grayish, like rocks are, I guess (laughs). Though the actual ground, the soil is still the same creepy redish brown. Of course, somehow, the cave walls are warm. I'm surprised, there's actually a… well, uh… it must be deeper then I thought. The walls are curving but I don't see an end yet. I'm gonna keep heading back. I think I see something on the walls up ahead. Something darker, like moss, or stain or something. There's a crack in the wall here. It's not like anything I've ever seen. It, actually, it doesn't start at the ground, it's sort of, eye levelish and horizontal leading in to the cave. This place is fucking weird, man.
Ok, so uh, this stain, it starts at the ground, it's reddish, and if I didn't know better, I say it's like some kind of pigment or blood or something. Don't judge me (laughs). I rubbed it and it doesn't seem to come off, so I'm guessing it's some weird cave chemistry… thing.
Maybe there's some fresh water somewhere inside that's seeping up or something. ALICE, is that possible?
(Silence)
Right, right, uh, ok… So it looks like it's actually growing the further in I go. Taking up more of the cave's surface. It's weird. It's actually surprisingly regular at the edges, almost figural. I'm gonna take a step back here and try and get a better look at it…

This is the reason why we need an audio geek. Transmission 6 ..towards the last few minutes..has an area of overlapping voices..and of course, Alice's 63 day thing...

 		Now that I've been able to listen to transmission 6 with headphones on..and LOUD...I am now with the rest of y'all. I'm hearing 63days til completion.

Eh... maybe? But what about the plagues that came before locusts? Other than hail = the storm Ethan went through. Unless the other plagues happened on that planet before he got there.
