Hypothetically,

If Atlas has been compromised, ALICE, the shipboard A.I. for this universe's version of Dune's Guild, has been compromised, and LISA, the Earth forces A.I., is compromised, it sure as hell would sound like the Aliens are indeed coming to eat us. Damn you Akamu. How could you have been so wrong? :::Shakes fist towards Oceanus:::

Right before the hiring decision is to be made, an ancient alien entity has completely infected our systems. I guess I won't be on a shuttle to Atlas after all. Indeed, none of us may be alive for much longer, unless, of course, why didn't I think of... you know, the Rebels whose name shall not ever, ever, never ever, be even quietly, like super quietly whispered, not even under a blanket.

After Horizon has been made the bee-atch of Little Miss Ancient Memories, we'll need to find them ASAP.

Hypothetically, though, of course.

If there are more hints they're probably only supporting the ones you just went over. And you're right, they don't have to be evil but they'd be keeping Horizon pretty busy and it'd be a hell of a time to reignite a rebellion.

Hmmm, I think that may be getting ahead of ourselves a couple of steps. That train of thought undermines the suspense of why they want a lone outsider to go to Atlas in the first place.

Agree the "lone outsider" is an essential element & asked the entity governing LISA about the successful applicant before I hit the hay last night. No reply yet.

I've suggested to "LISA" that if Horizon is after her and the listening station is designed to catch her, then maybe it would be good for her to have a loyal someone running that station. Someone who is on her side and will protect her from Horizon, no matter what she is. Might be a way in.
Feel free to run with that angle and express your alligance to her, if you think that might help in getting the position.

I just made an account, and finally finished reading everything. It might be a little bit late, but Jovian refers to Jupiter btw. I don't know if it's relevant or not... -_-;;
