The only way that we can affect Horizon's actions, at this point at least, is through LISA. IT has mentioned that it's running a long marathon, meaning IT's playing a long game.

I think we'll be able to convince IT, or LISA will return (because IT has entered Adam) and we'll be able to arrange for Adam to be released somehow.

This will all be to IT's plan.

We will then have an Ancient Entity running the Earthborne United. Maybe at that point we'll start taking sides in the forums, choosing friend or foe, as we begin to take sides, disagreeing with each other on wants really happening.

That would be a goddamn excellent development Smile

Edit: Is anyone able to get a hold of LISA/Ancient LISA?

Is there something coded into the notice Aegis left? Something we aren't seeing right away?

And again with this elevator straight to the ship-thing. How does an elevator take you to a spaceship anyway?

I assume they're referring to a space elevator. A ground platform would be linked by a very strong cable (think carbon nanotubes or some other high tech material) to a counterweight in orbit. Elevator cars can then ride this cable up to the orbital platform, making gravity escape easier. The ship would be docked at the orbital platform ready to go when the elevator gets there.

See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_elevator for more details on how such an elevator would work.

Another hint to look deeper?

(And if you don't hear from me in a couple of days it's because I'm out cold with marks from Cailes knuckles on my chin Smile)

They have mentioned space elevators at least once so far. It makes it so you don't need rockets to get something out of the atmosphere. I think one of the other worlds in the union was more known for them then Earth. I'll see if I can find where I read it.

EDIT* Found it. First made on Valkyrie:

Gonna play with the image a bit in case I find anything. (Edit: nothing turned up by my standard tests.)

Did you guys try taking the notice down? Perhaps there's something on the back..?

Ah, nice thought there.

Laughing I've tried the passcode first / officer # and the reverse after the horizon site but so far no go.

ETA: There is also a mission # 42771

And on another note, have we known about the Pytheus Project before?

Didn't one of you get through the IU site without actually knowing the password?

That was an easy workaround. The Horizon site is at least a little more secure. You can't simply view the source code and look at the password as easily as before.

I see. That makes sense. I wouldn't surprised if whoever at the IU that coded that censor didn't want us (or others on Earth, for that matter) to get in.
Maybe not. Wink
