The passcode was given to us, aaaaaaaahh..

Yeah, but it's not working. (Unless you got it to work, if you did, let us know!)

I was thinking... writing out the passcode like that would have been painfully obvious. What about using the numbers on that sheet? Like count down (from the top) the number of digits that Adam left in the passcode.

(And what's with the random pen mark?)

Is it the pass code that's not working? Or the user name( the patrol ID )? I've been concentrating on the user name..

It could be either, honestly.

@Adam! Can you get Pres Sparrow or LISA to give you access to user/password for the personnel files? Since you're a loyal citizen and all. Twisted Evil

Could we be over thinking this?

wild speculation time

Ok, we've got Wallaces ID number 8542
And a written pass code 771492263

But do we know if that pass code belongs to Wallace's ID? In the WOW print out...there is a second set of numbers 6657. Maybe that's the number to use instead of Wallaces ID?

It's not any new information, but I find it interesting that the crew of Mission 42771 credit the AI on board as being what saved them when we know that our ancient 'IT' is a fan of taking over AI systems.

Is it just me or does it look like he wrote that in a hurry. Look at the "E" in passcode, and the line running to the edge of the page.

We know the passcode doesn't work as written, so it's obvious that he wants us to use those numbers to get it. Also remember it's an Aegis password. I don't think it would be obvious.

So yeah, passcode doesn't work as is.

I've been staring at the pictures that they posted on the Earthborne forum, and every cipher I can recall has failed at coming up with anything different (to whoever wondered if we had to do something funky with the numbers). From what I can tell, it's not a puzzle, but I could be wrong. My brain is beat, today.

I've also tried various versions of Wallace for the username. Wallace, TWallace, WallaceT, numbers added, numbers not added.. nothing. We're missing something.

Sounds like the user name should be the patrol ID.

I'm fairly sure that the username is the Aegis Patrol ID. Adam must have known that would have been easy to find.

As for the passcode
allison_archer wrote:
Judging by the fact that it looks like Adam wrote that fast, so fast that he couldn't even finish the E, I have a hard time believing that anything else is involved other than those numbers.

So we're just dealing with things not working properly, then.

'm getting really frustrated, but you guys are better at this. You must be, but I'm trying to keep it simple. Here's what I know:

That is Adam's handwriting
He did not have a chance to finish the word "Passcode," which means he was in a rush to write it.
If he was in a rush, I think doing anything to make those numbers LESS complicated from our point of view doesn't make sense. If he changed the numbers, it was HIM making them LESS complicated. I feel there's no other way that it makes sense. So, maybe it was him that "decoded" something? And we need to re-encode it? I don't know!
If we do have to decode something, there are circled numbers on that page, but it looks like those existed on the original document. I don't believe these documents have anything to do with the numbers, other than the fact they were in front of Adam when he wrote them.
This is an AEGIS password. They're known for their security. So if they were to do a password with simple numbers, they'd likely make the password more complex somehow.

But I'm only 19 and I never said I was good at this.

Just tried turning the numbers back into letters - nothing there.

EDIT: Got annoyed and just sent LISA an email with nothing more in it than 771492263; unfortunately, that spark of 'brilliance' landed me nowhere but an "May I assist you?" So. Back to brain storming.

How hard are we going to kick ourselves when we find this password? Smile

(On an unrelated note)
I doubt it's more then a typo, but it looks like there is a discrepancy in the two pages about the incident in terms of the date it happened on (one claiming it happened on the 12th, the other saying the 14th)

As for the password, I'm running out of ideas. I've even tried using the ID from Allison's badge in the video, but (unsurprisingly) no luck.

maybe a long shot but....
Quote:
771492263
Passcode

we must remember it is the year 2276
I am thinking a couple things, last four of passcode 2263, thirteen years ago, if date
common shorthand way back in the twenty-first century 2012= '12
maybe the first five numbers 77149 = 7-7-'149 or July 7, 2149 this would be 125 years ago
i know, i need to go to bed now lol, probably way over thinking it but it was one tangent, i checked the interplanetary union's timeline but got nothing, no hits on the year 2263 as the timeline ends June 6, 2259 with 'A new Beginning'

They're both saying the username is right, but that we need to get some letters into that passcode.

Edit: Wait a minute. I don't really mean that. They're saying "if they we're to do a password with simple numbers, they'd likely make it more complex". Meaning no letters, I think. Just more numbers. How do you make 771492263 more complex? It's 9 random numbers!

I've tried so many different conversions - Vigenere, Ubi, basic letters = numbers, and nothing has worked so far. Coincidentally, WOWOWOWOW matches 771492263, which points to Vigenere, but.. yea, nothing.
