 Thoughts on my game world/concept?
I just wanted to get more opinions on the world/concept for my ARG...

My "game" is centered around the occult, the paranormal, the unexplained (real original...I know) nothing specific just things that occur that happen to be...out of the norm, or what most would consider normality.

Now, a lot of the...content(?) that's going to come from me and my friends and such is going to be REAL, as in unscripted or staged. Most of it will be just us doing things like exploring abandoned buildings and other places, dicking around at night for no other reason than to do it, and literally just turning cameras on and being us. Believe it or not, a LOT of...odd things happen often to a lot of people I know and am close to.

On the other end of the spectrum there will be scripted and staged content to create and move the (main) story.

The way the game is played is people record/document things that happen to them, their family, friends etc. This content(?) from people who choose to play the game (or those who not-so willingly play) will all be connected (regardless of locations, language, and anything else) by...something that I'd rather not reveal just yet.

Thoughts on this? Should I elaborate?

Those involved need to be there willingly and with consent otherwise you could end up with a lot of problems ranging from bad press top those who are not willing calling the police. You should also have permission fromt he owners of the buildings to be present on their premises for the same reason. trespass is trespass and someone ending up in jail for a game is not cool.

I love it. I don't stress too much about trespassing and making people live something for real. I think it's about choosing your audience and your location properly.

Last week, I had a suppliers kidnapped in a taxi cab and dump in an industrial landfill just so he could be 'in the mood' for my brainstorm. Of course I had a full crew standing by with first aid kit and all cars / peoples involved in the area were paid actors, but still...

Live wild.
