Okay, my quick reactions:

- Thought the Masky white eye thing was weird. EDIT: Okay, I see we've got some theories on that; I second whoever said that he was acting more blind than I though he would - maybe because Masky is primitive or feral?
- Expected Tim to at least ask if Jay did this to him; the fact that he didn't makes me think that Tim knows that Jay didn't, which could mean that he either watched all the videos on the MH channel and reconsidered his viewpoint, or he already has a notion of what is happening to them.
- Couldn't get a good sense of the geography in the chase or after; disorientation added to the suspense.
- Very weird, abrupt ending, with no caption or anything. Very disappointing in terms of explaining the gap and what's going on now.
- Chase must have happened the night of Tweetpocalypse; if the camera was on when they woke up on the same battery charge, then that's what? Ten hours at most? Unless somebody (Hoody?) turned it off and back on.

All in all, very tense entry, glad to have it, cool to see Masky and get a little more insight in to his relationship with Tim, but very disappointed in terms of plot advancement.

So, if Tim doesn't take his pills, he puts on a silly mask and dicks around at the park. This changes everything.

When Tim doesn't take his pills, he turns into a crazed madman in a mask and assaults people in the park. That does change things, because we now know for certain that Tim's medicine keeps Masky at bay by not allowing him to seize. Also, his meds are still MIA, so if one little thing goes wrong, and he starts to convulse...
game over for Jay.

If you look closely at the right hand eyehole, you can sort of see Tim's eye, which means his eyes looking white are some kind of lighting effect, not a blind-fold or anything like that.

Although, Masky was acting very blind. Jay was right in front of him, but Masky didn't notice and Masky was all reaching out with his arm, and he only noticed Jay was there once he touched him. I find this to be an interesting development.

Well, he did just have a seizure...

Am I the only one who thought that Masky couldn't see because it was dark out? I mean, Jay at least had a night vision camera, Masky had a mask that would only further obscure his vision at night. And I don't think he was acting totally blind if he knew which bush to look in out of a whole forest of possible hiding spots...

Masky didn't have a flashlight and Jay had shut his off as not to give his hiding place away when he was among the vines, guy was definitely blind so far as he was stumbling around in the dark: when he first lunges at Jay there was a light source for him to charge at.

I like this idea. It would also explain some of his awkward movement and attack patterns (i.e. not pulling an Alex and grabbing a weapon (even though he did pull a knife that one time...))

Haven't read all the posts so I'm likely repeating shit, but considering the lack of "Jay Text" other than the entry title, I think it's very likely that Jay did not post this. Why would Jay have nothing more to say about this? Especially given the time gap between when it happened and now. I dunno, I hope that's the case.

This is the first time I've been scared of Masky in a long time, so that was a big plus. For a while now I've just been thinking of him as Tim, and I like Tim, and would hang out with Tim. But, when Masky looked at Jay after Jay called out Tim's name, it was clear that there is no fragment of Tim in Masky. So that was cool.

When Jay gets dragged off for a moment I honestly thought he was being murdered. Then when the camera clicks back on, for a moment I though he was dead. Then I was like 'oh wait, he's fuckin' tied up' then I got a bit disappointed when I realized that he is once again waking up after an attack that ended mysteriously. But atleast he's got a buddy this time.

All in all I liked the entry, and I try not to complain ( especially considering how exited I get about each new entry, that alone has merit) but I'm kinda thinking it's about time, considering the series is winding to an end, they got some balls and stopped basically coming back to square one, current events wise, at the end of each new entry. Which I hope is not going to happen this time. I hope Jay and Tim didn't just go home and eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for three weeks.

But shouldn't the light from Jay's night vision screen have been very visible for a good radius? It's been a while since I've used one, but it seems like any LED screen would stick way out against a dark forest, hiding place or no.

Probably nothing, but when Masky is looking straight at the camera while looking at Jay, it looks like there are no eyes under his mask. Like the masky mask has the black "eyeliner" part and then the eye holes... but I just saw white and nothing under there. No eyes. What was the deal with THAT.
Anyone else notice this?

I caught that too, I pretty distinctly remember masky having black lenses or mesh on the inside of his mask. The fact that it's suddenly white stood out to me. Provided hoody gave him the mask, why would he want to blind tim? *I assume that's what happened, tim seemed to be acting a bit blind in the woods, as someone has already pointed out.*

I may be completely wrong, here, but wouldn't the infared have some sort of baring on that? I mean, black things that are shiny look lighter on infared- maybe the mesh is just reflecting the IR better than the color spectrum.

EDIT: Ninja'd by mere seconds. Curses.

you're probably right. Matter of fact, masky did have the black lenses when he was first sighted in this entry. I think it's probably nothing then.

One more thought I had:
They once delayed an entry for a week or two so that Joseph could order an exact replica jacket so there were no discontinuities in the videos. Do you honestly think they'd make such a novice error?

Probably not. I coulda swore that was for the prop gun

Maybe he closed the viewfinder and started using the eyepiece?

Even if the screen was shut off, aren't cameras required by law to have a "recording" light, so that people are aware they're being filmed?

I've officially moved from the "Blind Masky" camp to the "It was dark out" camp.

It tends to get dark at night.

Kinda sounds like a camp where people admit to doing dirty things to people they didn't want to, because it was dark.
