Just thought I'd share this here. From all the Slender Man movies that are showing up recently, this one's teaser has creeped me out the most and it seems to be the closest to the original mythos.

At the time of writing, it still needs about $4,500 to be made. You can back it here:

2) Slendy sounds like a t-rex walking up?

and iii) I'm REALLY tired of the Inception style "thrum..... thrum...." music in trailers.

It depends on what you're expecting, how you'll feel about the film. Not to defend it, but I think I like this movie trailer the best.

Also, i hope you're just joking about Slendy sounding like a T-rex, it's just a distortion build up to make a jump scare.

..Jump scare.

Oh god.

I can't even hear it as distortion anymore, you've ruined it for me!

In all seriousness, I like that Slendy. I'm not sure how I feel about a feature-length film about Him, though. A longer trailer with a little plot info (that doesn't give away too much) would be nice.

Nope. Not joking. It may have been meant to be distortion, but the first thing I heard was the t-rex walking sound effect from Jurassic Park, and it stuck in my head. So now, no matter how many times I watch it I keep waiting for a t-rex to emerge from the trees.

Okay no, really. Well, the teaser isn't terrible and it lends a fair amount of horror of some random person leading a child into the tentacles of Slendy - which is fucking horrifying.

That being said, though, if it's going to be better than some of the other non-crowd-sourced projects we've seen so far - I really recommend that they pull back and deal with some character focus (Which I have to admit that this hints at, but doesn't really show). Otherwise it's going to be a generic horror show kinda thing where the monster takes all of the focus and no one cares about the victims.

And the Slender Mythos really works best when we have a serious investment in the victims. Slender Man is not a slasher horror character.

There is an actual big budget feature film in the works based on Slender Man, with a lot of respect to the already established Mythos. The film-makers have opened up the entire film-making process to the community.
