Seeking the Lanternist Putting the "sin" in Sinema Received an email tip about a new game, Seeking the Lanternist . Video leads to the twitter account @comrades2095 . Story seems to revolve around a future world where cinema ("sinema") is illegal, replaced with "Disconnect Machines."
Roll over spoiler text for out-of-game info on the folks behind this:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Bill Douglas Centre at the University of Exeter looks to be behind this. Explanatory text from the site: "Imagine a future without moving images - at the end of this century people are living in a totalitarian world where cinema and film are strictly banned. We have been contacted by Erica, a resistance leader from this future world, to see if we can help them learn about the history of the moving image and what cinema has meant to its audience."
