Seriously, what the hell was that at the end.

Link from the comments has all the still frames, but I think I can see one more but cannot make out what it is.

Well, I'm glad it wasn't on us to find the last coordinate. The longitude coordinate puts us at what appears to be a green space in Southwest Pennsylvania.

It might be private property, as it looks like there's a house there, but I can't find any evidence of it being Thompson Park. Not immediately, at least, but I'm going to do some more digging around.

Hilariously, though, google maps calls the area "East Freedom." But I patriotically digress.

Maybe we should look if there is a pharmacy or something like that nearby, because why else would be a hidden pic with "call AJAX pharmac...." in there?
Or maybe the secret has something to do with that "ajax" thing?

Well again with the Greek mythology, Ajax was a warrior and he's in the Iliad. So I'm guessing it's a reference to the character. I don't know anything about him except from playing Age of Mythology so I'm not going to be able to help. But here is the Wikipedia page on him

I couldn't find anything on an Ajax pharmacy, so I'm guessing it's fictional. I know that sometimes Ajax is used as a generic name for a fictional company, sort of like ACME. Good catch on the Iliad reference though. If nothing else, we can throw that into the folder for potentially relevant references.

I tooled around the area in google maps for a bit. The point is right off Interstate 99, and there is a railroad nearby. It's on a mountain, near what looks like a bald that someone's built a house on. There's a clearing that looks like a gas line or a fire break just to the west. But aside from that, and being kinda pretty, it looks to be a normal mountainside.

The nearest official Thompson Park is actually in Ohio, which is unusual considering how prominent they are in New Jersey (And considering what else is in New Jersey). I'm just curious if Story is going to make her way out there, or if one of us is supposed to make the trip. Because I sure can't do it.

Just a thought I had:

What if Thompson Park isn't a place, but a person?

I found this video about a "vortex" in the Thompson Park that's in Watertown, NY.

Coordinates
Thompson Park, Lincroft, NJ

Looks like we will be going to New Jersey in the next few weeks.

The lanyard with the key has W 0 7 4 8. 4 3 7 5

The coordinates: N40° 20'; W74° 8' 26.15" (.4375 converts to 26.15")

The park is also known as Thompson County Park.

Conversion

The hours, minutes, and seconds of geographical coordinates are notated in base 60. (Google 'base 60' and see about the Sumerians and Babylonians.) The same is used for our notating of time. However, sometimes someone will use a decimal notation in all of this. Decimal becomes useful when you are trying to pinpoint a location more specifically.

From the lanyard: W 0 7 4 8. 4 3 7 5

In this case the W 74° (degrees) 8.4374' (minutes) has to be converted to seconds for some mapping systems. (Google Earth)

Hence, 8' 26.15".

I'm too lazy to convert it myself, so I went to:

http://transition.fcc.gov/mb/audio/bickel/DDDMMSS-decimal.html

Interestingly, if you don't convert properly and interpret the lanyard numbers as 8' 43.75", you are still in the park but at a slightly different location.

Do you the think the key is for something buried at one of those locations? It looks like a mailbox or lockbox key.

Ah, that makes sense. I was using decimal notation all the way for my searches and now I feel really stupid. I think Tails's copy/paste from the screenshots might have also been incorrect?

If you want to know more about coordinates, minutes and seconds measurement was used for ship navigation back in the olden days. I know they used nautical clocks for that kind of stuff, but I can't remember how it correlates and I'm too lazy to google. That notation is still widely used in surveying and road planning, however, which is how I'm familiar with it. Apparently I just can't read it properly anymore.

But yeah, i'll echo that you should totally show this to Story. I'm sure she'd be appreciative of it.
