I was going to elaborate on this after I watched the entry, but I fell asleep. Which works out because now I can give my two cents on the past seven pages of this thread.
First and foremost, I hate seeing people fighting on here. Being the internet and all, there's nothing I can do about it. Still though, stop giving pravado shit. He is in entitled to his own opinion. Isn't that what public forums are for? Sharing your viewpoints and opinions? Even if a viewpoint isn't popular, he is definitely allowed to share it with you. If you don't like it, read it and then move on.

That being said, I do have to agree with pravado to a point. The first two seasons were absolutely fantastic. Operator was everywhere, there was creepy ass totheark videos up the wazoo, and there was a force driving the plot along, no random meandering and whatnot. This season, thus far, as been a little lackluster in the entertainment department. Now, I understand that Troy and the boys have outside lives. I get that. I don't expect them to pump out a 15 minute video filled to the brim with Slenderman every week. It's just not feasible. However when you give us a handful of entries that are, for lack of a better term, "filler", it does boil the blood a little when you come to watch the latest entry of Marble Hornets and you are greeted with lots of dialouge and little plot development. Heck just throw in ol' slendy for like two seconds would ya?

Which brings me to my next point. The whole reason anyone started watching Marble Hornets was because of Slenderman. That's why anyone does anything in this part of unfiction. So when make a series about Slenderman, I expect slenderman. Now I dont mean full-on-scary-ass-omg-what-is-that-help-im-being-attacked-entries. The early Slenderman appearances in MH were fantastic. Subtle, creepy, and terrifying. Now, we see him once in a great while for half of a part of a nanosecond.

Now, maybe Troy and company have a plan. Maybe there is a reason to the way the story is progressing, a reason to why Slenderman has been absent, a reason to why they have deviated so far from what made them popular in the first place. If they can wrap this up and bring everything together with an awesome last few entries, all will be forgiven.

tl;dr stop beating up pravado, i sorta agree with him, needs moar slender,

Just something to think about:
If you were a completely new viewer, and this was the last episode you saw, how would you take it?

This is my take on that question. Earlier, around page 6 I think, someone said they would have preferred a montage. Think about it from a new member standpoint, though; what would have a more profound effect on you- a silly montage of Jay accomplishing nothing, or a 5 second cut and then "It's been 3 freaking weeks Tim, what the hell?" Montages are cinematic. This is not supposed to be cinematic. Between the two situations, this one seems more realistic, ergo, I find this to be way more exciting.

I also like it because Jay sounds like he's pretending to be us. "meeeh it's been 3 weeks, why haven't you even sent me one text to let me know you hadn't died, Tim? C'moooon Tim, even a tweet would be okay...." Very Happy

I guess what I'm saying is that this entry may be disappointing to us, but once the series is released as a 3-DVD box set, and we get to show everyone who doesn't know, this will be more impactful than anything. The people who aren't up-to-date on MH will have no sense of time while watching it; I know, because that's what happened to me 2 months ago. When you're marathoning MH for the first time, it hits home harder when they come right out and say "it's been 3 weeks," or "You haven't heard from her in a year and a half." Time has less of an impact when you cover 3 year's worth of video in a matter of hours or days; they need to be blunt every now and then to remind the new viewer that this is happening at a worldly pace.

Personally I would be confused as hell. The problem is, if you apply that logic to, well, anything, it would be confusing. You cant just jump into a series and expect to know whats going. From a newcomers standpoint, I would imagine that would be confused. From a MH veterans standpoint: The entry is still pretty dissapointing.

I think Slendy is used to good dramatic effect and that less is more. We don't know when he's going to appear next. He could be anywhere, at any time and that's what makes him terrifying. If he was featured more predomiantly, we'd become more farmaliar with him and the terror would fade. He domianted season one, so we could see what he could do, but season two had a long build up to Slendy's apperance which increased our dredd that he could be anywhere after Jay. We didn't even see him until entry #40 , which was significantly longer then the wait to see him in season three seeing him slowly emerge in entry #54 and his manifestation in entry #60!

Ulitmatly, Troy and Joseph have designed the series in mind for the viewer who is watching the series as a complete story. When watching all the season three entries in order, it really fits together nicely and none of it feels like filler at all. It only feels like filler because we've waited so long for each entry (not that I'm complaining, mind, the guys have lives)

If you do watch the entries in order for this season, however, it really fits together nicely and I none of it really feels like filler at all.

I do wish everyone would just deal with Pravado's opinons. I don't often share them, but I do respect his right to air them. If you don't like 'em, don't respond to them.

However, that being said - Pravado, while I understand you've been very disapointed with season three so far, your personal attacks on the creators have been nothing short of nasty and completly unfair. As I've said before, Troy has a full time proffessional job which he's adjusting to, Joseph and Tim have college and jobs and none of them have a large amount of time to make these entries. We don't know what happens in their personal lives which delays them from making entries - and they don't have to make these entries. It's just a hobby, not their job. We're not entitled to anything. While I admire your passion, NOTHING justifes your attacks on Troy, Joseph and Tim. They've done nothing to you, except for make free entertainment in their very little free time.

While I understand your a huge fan and are disapointed, I think you need to think about where your passion is taking you. If your that disapointed, maybe you should stop watching Marble Hornets for awhile if it's really making you that depressed (we all know about fan love) and just wait to see how the series plays out after a couple of entries are uploaded and then come back. Find something else to do and then come back and see how you feel Smile

Ladies and Gentlemen of unfiction, take note. This is how you argue on the internet without being an ass. Thanks Jordan Smile

EDIT: I wish more people would be civil about thier opinions. Everyone is allowed to voice them as long as both sides dont feel the need to start raging about everything.

Oh dont get me wrong. I wasnt trying to attack them. I admit my passion probably did get in the way of what I was saying. I understand that they have lives and responsibilities outside of filming. I respect. And although I am a little disappointed by this entry, I still realize what you are saying.

I have to agree with Pravado on this one, it seems Troseph threw in the towel a bit on this one. Still, there was some good plot and character development, but it was boring as hell with no payoff. I don't think it's one of the worst entries, but it's one of the more forgettable ones.

Gotta agree that this probably could have been put at the end of entry 62 without "questioning" Tim on where he's been, but it still wasn't bad. I'm glad I'm not the only one that immediately thought of Slender with all those trucks around. I'm also expecting a TTA response to this, what with the "lol I bet someone's watching" comment.

Now, we just have to kick back, relax, and wait for Entry 64, with zen patience.

HA! Who am I kidding? The rage thread is going to go CRAZY by the time the next entry is out.

he left jay alone for that long, he doesn't care about jay.

My thoughts exactly. It's at the point where the whole story is falling apart because of the time they're taking to get their OOG shit together. TO isn't bothering them anymore...it's just hoody messing around. And what's Jay's obsession with Jessica? We/he barely knew her. I can see why she disconnected her number...Jay is a creeper.

Yes, and no. Of course pravado is welcome to his opinion. But this thread is for discussing the entry, and pravado's post--hell, posts--are venting about how he hates the direction the series has taken since whenever. It seems to me there's a thread specifically for that, to prevent such things from derailing this thread.

I'm happy pravado has an opinion, but it's not so terribly important that it overrides consideration for the discussion this thread is actually intended for.

As to the rest, Slendy for Slendy's sake is boring. Give me plot any day.

Couldn't help but feel that Jay was playfully mocking the viewers when he said around the 0:51 mark "How long d'you think it'll be?"

Liked this entry. Jay was all paranoid, Tim had good acting and the plot is going to progress. Possible foreshadowing in this entry as well.

Nothing even happened though, Jay just walked around for some reason and they stated the same points over and over. This was such a disappointing entry. At least things happen in TribeTwelve, MH has been consistantly boring...since like ever. Confused
