How do we know this? The film cut out. That is to say, we don't know WHAT they did between the battery dying and the charger being plugged in, except that they walked to Jay's car.We also don't know what happened between Jay being subdued and waking up, either.

Are you serious right now?

Okay, fine, if we ignore the fact that Tim wanted to get the piss out of there right then, he hadn't exactly been in a compromising mood up to that point, Jay usually runs screaming into the night like a little girl when he has reason to believe that danger is near, the whole point of that fiasco was to help Tim, & they were already in the process of leaving...

Then yes, it is possible that they turned back, & tore the Hoody Hut apart board-by-board, dusted for fingerprints, & basically went all CSI Rosswood.

Also, what Jay does while he is knocked out is irrelevant to whether or not they searched the place.

It's perfectly reasonable to suggest that they searched the cabin in at least some capacity before leaving. No proof that they did, nothing to suggest that they didn't either.

Also, this specifically:

Quote:
Jay usually runs screaming into the night like a little girl when he has reason to believe that danger is near

If that were true there'd be no series. In fact, the opposite is the case, Jay usually goes toward danger. Most of the time that's what winds up moving the show along. Brians' house after learning that someone was in there watching him and eventually attacking him, Masked Tim I don't know how many times, the Operator in entry 52, the hooded man at least once, Jay's actually a pretty courageous dude.

Yes, I was quite serious. I'm not suggesting they turned the place over completely, but at the very least a cursory run through of the contents isn't out of the question. I know I'd be turning the place over for any clues to anything. But I'm not Jay or Tim. Searching doesn't necessitate a thorough comb through as you're suggesting. We simply don't know to what extent they looked through their environs after the camera cut out.

You don't know that they didn't set up a mobile crime lab to search it. You didn't see it. There's no proof that they did, but nothing to suggest that they didn't.

Wow. Way to blow a simple statement out of proportion. I'm not using an argument of ignorance here. Rather it is not unreasonable to deduce that they may have had a look around. It's not even a really big point. I just don't make assumptions about peoples' behaviors until we have a real reason to believe it. I simply stated that we don't know if they looked around the shack. Leave it alone already.

Don't be the douche that takes peoples' comments and turns them into something they're not.

You know, Jay did some cursory exploration of the place from the time he awoke until he spotted Tim (5:35 to 7:11). He didn't have his mobile crime lab with him, but he did look around for a while.

The difference being that what paladin is suggesting is reasonable, as opposed to your strawman response, which is deliberately not. As such, Paladin's suggestion doesn't merit a strawman response, so I'm not really sure why it's here.

In my head, I imagined this happening:

Tweet: Tim and I have searched the old house. Found some things. Entry 63.5 posted tomorrow.

Entry 63.5:
Blank wall, items held up before the camera.
Okay guys, here's what we found in the house.
First, there's this broken piece of wood. It looks like plywood, might just be a 2x4, I don't know, I'm not a carpenter or a woodwright, or whatever.
Next, we have this creepy doll. It always follows me. It's got a ruined eye that's always open. It's just this creepy doll. It's got a pretty mouth to swallow you whole.
Next, there's this plastic. Might be a tarp, might just be an old garbage bag.
This jar has a collection of termites, ticks, and beetles. I think that one's a spider.
Here's an old condom Tim found behind the tire out back. It's got a tear in it, and some dried material inside.
End of Entry

Yeah, that would be why I'm mocking it. You "corrected" me about "possibilities" that haven't been hinted at. It wasn't a reasonable enough observation to you that "they could have easily missed important clues because they didn't really search"? Why even introduce this argument if you can't convince yourself of its importance, let alone me?

Meaningless semantics, that's why.

He corrected you because you were wrong. That's really all there is to it. You said they didn't spend time searching the cabin, he pointed out that we have no idea what they did after the camera cut out, and he was right about that. Semantics have nothing to do with it, you made a point that was unprovable, and he pointed out why it's currently unprovable. Your mocking him for that is nonsensical.

This is the most accurate summation of our experiences here that I've ever read.

You win the entire Internet.

And last night's presidential debate.

Well, you still haven't made any argument worth taking seriously, & I am out of jokes, so I guess I'll be seeing you on the Entry 64 thread.

There's no argument. There's you being wrong and trying to be a retroactive troll after being called out for it. In order to be "out of jokes" you actually have to have told at least one.
