Received the letter and crossword puzzle as well.

My confusion is between SQN and PACEM. When I received the letter (snail) from SQN and contacted them via email, was told to wait for assignments.

I had found the PACEM site/blog before responding on here and never signed up to volunteer on that - thinking they were opposites.

Am a bit confused. So, I am in SQN but not attached to PACEM and wondering if I should remain this way, or sign up over there as well?

Meanwhile, I will work on the crossword puzzle - maybe some clues? Also someone mentioned files at PACEM, were they only accessible if you signed up? I haven't see anything beyond the site front.

I got the crossword!

But, I know the words must make a sentence. The problem is, a lot of the words... Pacem, SQN, religions, seem like they could be in the same spot in the sentence. Can anyone get this?

Also, PACEM and SQN at least appear to be at odds. I emailed SQN asking about the killed volunteer, saying I was his friend and had heard that SQN might know something. Here what the person at the other end of SQN cabal wrote in response to my questioning:

Quote:

I don't care much for your taste in friends, one is an informer and the other was a PACEM volunteer. That's already two strikes against you!

So, I respectfully decline to answer.

And tornok, I just meant that the creator of the wiki also had other game wikis he created. Some people don't like that kind of wall-breakdown. But, I do not honestly think they are narrative linked in any way. Seems like this is small, and you are the lucky trailhead Smile

New to ARGs here and decided to play with the words a bit.

we are thousand years old secret society
pacem needs more world religions
sqn seeks order to prevent that plan from happening

Not sure that that's quite the solution...I'm also drawn to the phrase
"we are order"
from that word selection. But perhaps I just like the idea that "order" is working to keep "chaos" (panem) at bay.

Nice! I've been playing with it, and this seems like the most likely combination. Sadly, it doesn't seem to tell us anything new...

A big question I would have for SQN is if they have been working to prevent more world religions, they have been doing a pretty bad job over the last thousand years.

Just received an e-mail back. It doesn't really give any new information. I'm trying to decide whether to send them further information and stay involved.

As a newbie, I do have a question. Do they require a "legal" name for snail mail? I have no issues with aliases through mailart in my town, but wonder if it might be an issue for the sender.

Your email intrigues us. Please elaborate.

However, if you are sincere in your request you'll have to go through a rather lengthy verification process by providing the following:

Your "real" name
Your cell phone number
Your mailing address
Any organizations you belong to that support our cause (verifiable)
An email that states you never volunteered for PACEM (in the past or in the present)

That's what it takes if you don't have a letter from us.

I am interested in your sense of order. I seek that which is true.

Angela -
Please could you help with designing PACEM promotional pieces, like buttons, bumper sticker, t-shirts, etc.? If you're not good at designing things a slogan to use would be nice.
Please get me your answer as quickly as possible so I can find another volunteer to do the work. Thanks!

then when i agreed to do the work

Thank you for doing this!

The only hard and fast rules:

Stick to grey and white - the colours of our logo
It has to re-size nicely
It has to look like it came from our logo
It has to look good on buttons, t-shirts, etc.
I hope that helps. Attached is the original artwork for the logo (in PDN and PNG formats). N.B. - You will need to download and install (free) PaintNET v3.5 or above to manipulate the pdn file.

Thanks again for doing this!

Ok, got an email kind-of-like MHS, only for the other side! Make posters, flyer's etc... with attachments to use. Shocked

That was yesterday --

Today I got a very strange snail mail with my assignment ... I don't think I should say more unless someone else received this as well.

Just "violated" the pacem volunteers chat room by adding "sine Qua Non Rules"

See what this provocation will do....
