i lurked around the site for a while yesterday, and for a while i thought it might have been a real place! lol the website looks so well composed

i too had a quick scan for anything related and quickly found no mention of the mountain,

given that

So what do we know so far...

we have a mountain, mount madahodo, which is almost always surrounded by fog. several warning signs are present to warn hikers for this.

On this mountain is a hut called the summit.

Apparently there is a cave of sorts along the trail, or not far from it. we only know the caves existance, not much more, except for the warnings that "it" lives in it.

Hikers often get hurt along the trail, or worse, disappear. warning signs are posted well along the trail to warn off people.

People hear strange noises in the fog..

Close to the summit is a glacial tarn called abbey's lake, which supplies the hut with water. there is an odd taste to the water, but appears to be tested to be ok for consumption.

several crew (CROO) members are present in the summit, but one seems to have disappeared and one is no longer working there.

The last entries on the croo blog are very disturbing, suggesting something happened to the croo..

A second site, lists someone who has been to the summit over halloween, however on record of his exploits are on that site, but they appear on twitter and facebook

there is also a reference on twitter made by the Madahodo crew to a person called timbo Marshall (not a croo member) about the water, without an apparent question from him.

Having said this, several questions are raised in my head:

• what happened to the croo?
  
• What lives out there in the fog?
  
• What is in the cave?
  
• What is the relation between this timbo marshall character and Madahodo?
  
• Why is george kenagy not a croo member anymore and where can we contact him?
  
• What happened to Keith Tillery?
  
• What is the role of Nick Carr (scouting NY) in this story..
  

if you guys have more questions or speculations on these, please let them know. I am curious to know what you all think..

Did anyone else read the Summit Hut page on their web page? As you read further down it gets more and more weird... Kinda fun that it starts put sounding so inviting and ends by saying that they're not taking reservations at this time.
